Joe Allison and his staff provided remarkable improvements in my ability to function normally. After just 20 sessions I am able to go about my daily activities without any pain and stiffness. In addition I am now equipped with techniques and movements to maintain or re-establish these improvements if I slack off or over do activities. I have been going to Drayer Physical Therapy for my neck, knee and back. My professional is Lisa Zarb. She has literally saved my life. The exercises she has given me and the hands on work has enabled me to walk without a limp and raise my arm. I was told by doctors that I would have pain forever. Lisa was patient, professional and oversaw everything I was doing. I can now travel and enjoy walking in the woods. Everyone in the facility is dedicated and helpful. After a horrifying auto accident, I found that my hip was totally shattered. I was fixed up with plates and pins. I arrived at Drayer in a wheelchair. After a short period I was waking with a walker and then onto a cane. Joe Allison is brilliant at knowing what to do. His compassion and talent got me on my feet again. After a thorough exam, he does a detailed therapy plan. Chris and James gave excellent hands on therapy to straighten my knee and get me walking. I was indeed lucky to have found this PT facility. I had my doubts about how much PT could help me. I had been passed from doctor to doctor with my pain issues. I went to Drayer and was assigned a "kid" physical therapist, Evan. (I am in my late 60s so anyone under 40 is a baby) My expectations were low. Evan did not meet those expectations he shattered them. He was professional yet personable and kind. Part of my neurological deficit is a poor short term memory recall. Instead of becoming frustrated when I couldn't remember the names of exercises from session to session, Evan developed a pantomime of the movements to help me recall. After L1-L2 partial discectomy, I needed a rehab facility with early and flexible hours. Drayer Institute offered both. Once I walked through the door I found a terrific, professional, clean and organized facility. The staff, lead by Joe Allison is top notch. They are all knowledgeable about the condition I had and the therapies to correct it. They were always energetic and patient in their efforts to help me. The office staff were great with filing for insurance and resolving minor issues that arose. Setting up and rescheduling appointments was never a big deal for them or me. Tyler Laib and John are excellent! I came in for shoulder pain that was plaguing me for a while and I noticed a great improvement after only the first visit! As we continued the sessions the pain gradually subsided to the point where it is virtually gone! Joe and his staff at the Sparta office are the BEST!! Over the last 30 years I have had to see them for my back, hand and shoulder. They keep my upright and strong. They are very focused and empathetic. They educate you so that once you leave you can self-help with exercises.
