The doctors appear to want to be more of a medical councilor than help with concerns or make you set up more appointments than I care to get simple things done. We struggled finding a…read more Primary Care Physician for check-ups; physicals and occasional winters colds and what appeared to be minor ailments. Many walk in clinics have wonderful nurses but the turnover in their employees is continual-which hinders good service. We were referred to Dr. Hopkins and his staff and it was just what we needed. They are located right off the square downtown Murfreesboro in an older but very neat building. Our family has seen Dr. Hopkins on occasion and also his PA's and nurses-they are all very thorough, professional and kind. They have either always taken care of us or referred us on to a specialist when our case warranted. The front office staff are polite and always ready to answer questions. When our private insurance was cancelled by BCBS and like thousands had to scramble for health insurance- we made sure our new coverage was a policy that Dr. Hopkin's practice accepted. Our family has found our doctor!

I told my pharmacist I was looking for a new doctor because it was time for a change. She HIGHLY recommended Murfreesboro Medical Clinic. When I called for my first appointment I got in within a matter of days. When I went in everyone at the front desk was personable and very helpful to me. I was given a tablet to complete my information and pay my copay. How convenient is that! Now. When I saw Dr. Cooke I didn't know what to expect. I was called back in a matter of minutes of checking in. Dr. Cooke came in and I was blown away by the level of his questions, talking about my past medical history (its extensive), taking his time and being 110% thorough. He is so easy to talk to. His nurse Summer is just a real sweetheart too. You dont feel rushed by this doctor. He takes his time with you every single time I have seen him. The online portal that MMC has is great. Anytime you have tests you can log in to see the results, you can pre-check in for your appointment, you can see all of your past medical visits, medication list and (bonus) you can email your doctor and within a VERY reasonable time my doctor himself or his nurse email me back. Every. Single. Time. I am just thrilled with the level of care I am getting with Dr. Cooke and I plan on him being my doctor for many years to come.

The billing staff is condescending, dismissive and incompetent…read more Everybody I've spoken with there has found every way possible to blame someone else for billing issues and they refuse to take my problems seriously or try to help correct it. They do not disclose additional charges beforehand and exploit loopholes in the law to make your "free" annual physical somehow still cost you money. They also somehow find ways to try to double-bill your insurance for surgeries and fight you when you say something to them about it. They can't figure out how to deal with multiple insurance policies and will send you to collections rather than do their jobs. Do not go here, they do not care about your health.

I receive a written report of our discussion and any plans going forward so I don't leave feeling like I need a medical dictionary. Brittany is amazing also. She is always friendly and can get my blood draw done with one stick. I love having a doctor who can address all my concerns and doesn't have me waiting for hours for a 15 minute check over.
