Sharon has a masters degree in child development, and her approach is highly refined, well tailored to each child. She even helps us be better parents by sharing strategies for reinforcing what they are learning at home, and showing us important points of emphasis. She is incredibly caring, and highly invested in every single child. We were concerned that our second child might have a tough transition to preschool on her first day. Sharon took such great care of her that she had a seamless transition. When she was telling us how well she did on her first day, she actually teared up because she was just so proud of her. It's such a reassuring feeling knowing that you are leaving your child with someone who truly cares about them. Rose Blossom also gave our older two kids an excellent head start on kindergarten. Emphasis on reading was especially helpful, and our kids started kindergarten substantially above the standards. The other teachers are excellent as well, and the staff retention is high. The same two main teachers have been there the entire 4 years that we've been at Rose Blossom. The community is quite welcoming, with friendly parents. Our kids are still friends with some of their Rose Blossom classmates years later. Rose Blossom is actually the only thing around Santa Cruz I recommend to people. This is a small town, and most things are just ok at best, or good for here. Rose Blossom is phenomenal. I have had a couple of people send their kids here on my recommendation, and they loved it too. It's also priced very well. For super high energy, hard to control boys, one of the outdoor focused preschools may be a better fit. But for everyone else, Rose Blossom is the best choice, hands down.

She has little friends in class and is slowly depleting the school sandbox via here little baby shoes. On the COVID front, I really believe and trust Mindy (owner) and all her staff are taking this with the upmost seriousness and thought out planning. They seem to always be cleaning things and updating policies per new info. Overall strong endorsement for Quail Hollow and all their staff p.s. daughter is in the 6m to 2y class starting at 9m

Our sit-in visit was great...our child dove right in and the teachers were so helpful from the jump. Our four year old says she actually loves her teachers, and I really get the feeling that they're happy to see her in the morning at drop off which of course makes me happy! The teachers are warm and friendly and seem to genuinely love what they do. My husband is always so nervous about new babysitters or preschools, but after seeing how happy our girl was when he came to pick her up all those concerns faded away. Our daughter also has some speech delays, but her speaking has improved significantly since starting at the school. She is learning so much there beyond that, too! The outdoor area is actually way bigger than I expected and she tells me all about how much fun it is. They had optional water play days for the summer which my kid really looks forward to. I highly recommend this place for preschool!!!

Their classroom is in a yurt in the middle of an epic garden. They have animals, they cook, they sew, they do art, they have puppet shows, they garden and more imaginative play than you'd think possible. It is a play based preschool which we LOVED. Fantastic ratio of 12 students to 2 OUTSTANDING teachers, Miss Jamie and Miss Jackie. They both have extensive backgrounds in education and teach with such love and respect of each child. My son was upset when it wasn't a school day and now that he's in kindergarten, he misses the school and his sweet teachers SO much. So do I!! They really create a community for both the students and their families. We signed up our daughter as soon as we realized what a gift this school is. She will be starting next year and we can't wait to get back!

I also love how they made keepsake books at the end of the year with art my boys did throughout the year as well as photos of them engaged in play activities. This preschool makes me miss Santa Cruz so much and I moved away almost four years ago. When I think of home I think of the Bagelry, staff of life, shoppers corner, zoccolis, and hidden treasures.

Both of my girls have thrived at simcha, and we adore the community. Both our kids and us parents have made many amazing friends. The teachers are incredible, and we've really appreciated the play-based curriculum with tons of outdoor time. In TK/K, teacher Jan blends academic material with so much fun and creativity - the kids hardly know they're learning. My older daughter was extremely prepared for public 1st grade because of Jan's guidance and the small class size - she learned to read and write, gained strong math skills, and made special, lasting friendships. our younger daughter could have attended public TK but with Simcha's extended hours and unique program, it's worth the investment of an extra year. Highly highly recommend!
