ATM fee

I needed to buy a car hang tag for $3. Sac said *cash only* use the ATM in the book store. So I used the atm to pull out a $20. And the ATM charged me $4.50.

This woman is super rude, mean and very negative.

I think it hilarious that it's called the welcome center because it's anything but. This building is called Sac East which stands fir student activities center. The whole building used to be for the student clubs and student senate but when the senate pointed out the funds were being misallocated, they got upset and took the building away. They turned it into a "welcome" center. The staff are so rude and seem irritated by students in general. I can best describe it as having a DMV attitude. You know when you go to the DMV and the workers seem miserable and that they get off on making your life miserable? Well that's the vibe in here. I dread going in there. The workers seem to hate students and are irritated that you interrupted them sitting around and gossiping. I have had countless experiences there where the staff were so rude to me and extremely unprofessional. It's sad that this is allowed to happen. I've spoken to managers there who said that they are aware that students feel there is negative treatment from the staff. Why do they allow the staff to continue to be so rude and unhelpful? On a positive note, the younger staff that are actually students can be helpful with financial aid questions and help you navigate your way through it on the computer. But that doesn't make up for the nasty attitudes and horrible treatment by the other non student

I have been a student here for years. Today 2015, Cabrillo is a top notch community college for education. I love the ocean view, the ease of finding classrooms and access to different student services. What is disappointing is the parking. Plan ahead to park near the end zone of the football field daily! And the food is terrible. For being in one of the most health conscious areas of California we have the worst food selection. No organics again this year! And the student bathrooms, women's, always smells like used tampons! Classrooms are overcrowded and the air conditioning doesn't work! I've written several times to my senator but nothing has changed. Budget cuts budget cuts budget cuts!

The campus is pretty impressive for a jc and the resources better than you'd expect.

We have had great success with this program. My daughter went from not knowing her multiplication…read morefacts in 5th grade to pre-algebra in 6 months! They completely master concepts before moving on to the next. Yes, it is an incentive based program (earning stars for prizes), but we figured out that what's my particular kid needed. I will say that at first, your kid will be upset at the assessment test. A kid behind in math might hate it because it makes them feel "dumb" and beg not to go back. As an adult, we know it is set up to be hard, to find out where you stand and where you need the help. Try to push through this if you can! There is light at the end of the tunnel. My kid went from hating and avoiding math for almost 3 years, to asking when she can go next. She is now so confident in math at school and proud of her knowledge, even helping others. I never thought that would happen. However, I believe you will need to go regularly and stay committed to your sessions to see the progress we did, which is up to you (you make your schedule - weekends included). Maybe you can't do other activities for a bit to get up to speed. That was a hard sacrifice for my kid, and the program isn't inexpensive. But the tutors are all math and engineering students from local schools, and Carol (owner) a strong partner in my kid's education, so I really believe it's money well-spent.

The student does all the work at the tutoring center. It does take at least twice a week commitment to see results. We are lucky to have this resource in our neighborhood. I highly recommend.
