I called for someone to come take a look at some water that was in my basement. It had leaked under…read morethe wall between the boiler room and the office next door. The guy that came was very nice, but his initial assessment was that the water was coming from the other side of the wall and he wanted to see what was back there. I knew this was impossible since there are no pipes in that office, so I thanked him for his time we had a nice chat on his way out. A few weeks later, the water softener died and poured water all over and back under the wall again. This was the culprit and my take on the plumber's inspection was correct. Some weeks later, the accountant from the company called and insisted on payment. I was very annoyed because absolutely no value was added during the visit. I did pay the balance because I understand that receiving a professional to your home on a service call does have an accepted base-rate or fee. I explained to the accountant however that this was bad form and would guarantee that I'd never be interested in calling again. I too work in the service industry as an onsite IT person (since '97) and I know full well when I've made a visit that shouldn't be billed. And my rates and relevance are exactly the same. I'm writing this both to make sure the marketing team over there have a talk with the accountant, and to point out to the owner of Quick Fix that I spent $18,000 on the replacement boiler and water heater. Pissing off customers over $75 really can be expensive.

My home warranty company hired this company to come check of my kitchen sink back up. He did not introduce himself with his name or company name. I told him what the issue was he never asked, he asked to see the basement I showed him. For the next 15-20 mins it sounded like he was drilling into my foundation. He came up and wasn't going to say anything till I asked if my pipes are okay or if there is anything major wrong? He said no just rust and grease. Mind you We are first time home owners here in Wisconsin, we are from California. After he left I went into the basement to find an inch and a half of water sitting in half of the unfinished portion of the basement. I proceeded to call the company directly and voice my concerns and Shelly or Sally stated to me they are not a cleaning crew they are only hired to fix the problem, after her attitude and rude remarks I hung up and proceeded to call my warranty company to file a formal complaint on this company. Shelley or Sally then called me back leaving a VM stating he rinsed the basement down with clean water. As you can see from the pictures they left dirt, rust and grease all over my basement along with an inch and a half of water. Slow Drains I've had…read moreTuffy (Chris) out twice now and while they are not as fancy as larger companies with a fleet of trucks, they are super responsive and get the job done quickly. Our first visit was a few years back for a backed up floor drain over the weekend. Most recently we had a sink and tub that were slow draining and no amount of drain chemicals would do the trick. Rates were reasonable and it's always good to support a small family business.
