With more storms expected with heavy rains this weekend, I'll be dammed if they didn't jump down into the space and quickly take cake of the situation and changed out the sump pump and saved us. I called for someone to come take a look at some water that was in my basement. It had leaked under…read morethe wall between the boiler room and the office next door. The guy that came was very nice, but his initial assessment was that the water was coming from the other side of the wall and he wanted to see what was back there. I knew this was impossible since there are no pipes in that office, so I thanked him for his time we had a nice chat on his way out. A few weeks later, the water softener died and poured water all over and back under the wall again. This was the culprit and my take on the plumber's inspection was correct. Some weeks later, the accountant from the company called and insisted on payment. I was very annoyed because absolutely no value was added during the visit. I did pay the balance because I understand that receiving a professional to your home on a service call does have an accepted base-rate or fee. I explained to the accountant however that this was bad form and would guarantee that I'd never be interested in calling again. I too work in the service industry as an onsite IT person (since '97) and I know full well when I've made a visit that shouldn't be billed. And my rates and relevance are exactly the same. I'm writing this both to make sure the marketing team over there have a talk with the accountant, and to point out to the owner of Quick Fix that I spent $18,000 on the replacement boiler and water heater. Pissing off customers over $75 really can be expensive.

Econo Sewer & Drain charged me over $500 to clear roots from sewer pipes in November, 2025. Soom…read moreafter that I discovered that the sump pump caused the water back up. This weekend my basement flooded again. I called a different local company who came this morning and cleared a huge amount of roots that would have taken 3 years, and likely many more, to build up. I don't know what Econo Drain did last year but thankfully I didn't choose the hydro jet option which was over $1,000. Used to be a great company- reliable and honest. Not under the new ownership.

After their equipment got stuck and more technicians had to come out, 4 employees spent nearly 4 hours in our basement and told us the line was free n clear & the job was done. Lie Two weeks later our drain backed up again. When I called, I was told the service wasn't guaranteed and I'd have to pay another $550 for them to return. In a condescending way he told me I should have taken the advice of his technicians and done hydro jetting. On their Facebook page, they post they are hiring technicians with no experience necessary/ will train on the job. So their technicians of high experience are always right? That should have been my first red flag. 2nd Red Flag is we didn't realize they are under new ownership. We were never shown the camera footage they claimed that proved the line was clear. Instead we were told we should have read our receipt that there's no guarantee. I had to hire another company KSK Sewer & Drain Cleaning who removed a extra large amount of tree roots that clearly hadn't been cleared. Kevin was great & very honest. He told me I don't know what Econo did but clearly they didn't clear the sewer line completely. His service is also guaranteed for 8 months. The service, communication and the lack of accountability by Econo Sewer is beyond frustrating. Do not waste your time or money.

Prior reviews may have expressed concern about punctuality, but there is no way to predict how long a plumbing issue might take to repair until the plumber actually arrives to assess the issue...
