We call and call, and we have heard now (we'll over a month later) "we still haven't heard from the parts company, and when we do we'll let you know". I mean... it's like impossible to find a decent plumber in River Forest. Add landscapers to that list too. We have a large lot and it's like we have to beg for service. River Forest is really beginning to turn us off. Do yourself a favor, avoid the "Gilchrist' plumbing companies all together... you call one and they all refer to the other. Two stars just because they showed up the first time.

A project I will tackle soon and I will call GTPP to get the job done. I would reccommend them!

After thinking of just replacing it, Rich let me know about whole house tankless water heaters and that's the route I went. He removed both giant tanks, put in the wall mounted tankless, rerouted the water pipes and helped me with Nicor Gas to get a bigger flow meter. Everything went without a hitch!! I couldn't be more satisfied with his professionalism and quality of work! Since then he's replaced my shower mixer valve and Flushmaster toilet unit. Here's the bonus....he has direct contacts with various manufacturers and he was able to get the replacement parts free!! This year will be the 3rd year I'm also using him for my backflow test on my fire sprinkler system because he's prompt, professional, files the paperwork to the Village on time and absolutely knows what he's doing on all jobs I've hired him for. His prices are mid level to just slightly above, but when it comes to plumbing problems, you get what you pay for. I've hired other plumbers before because they were cheaper and I ended up with shoddy work and more problems after they were finished. Berner Plumbing is very highly recommended by me!

I…read morediscovered Connell Plumbing five years ago after utilizing five different plumbers in the previous 25 years and I have used Connell ever since. Nathan is very courteous and knowledgeable. Three years ago he was able to fix a long-standing kitchen sink drainage problem that other plumbers failed at repeatedly. I called Connell this last time because I had two outside faucets that were giving me fits. Nathan came over and I told him I wanted two new frost-free faucets installed. Nathan told me that before I shell out the big bucks to replace them, he could take a look at the current faucets and see if they could be repaired. Nathan quickly reviewed the faucets and explained what needed to be done. An hour later I had two faucets functioning better than they ever have before and he saved me about $900. I now have peace of mind and Connell Plumbing has a lifetime customer.

I called Noble after another plumber not only didn't fix the issue of a phatom-running toilet, but ghosted me when I called to have them come back and do the job right. (Guess they figured they couldn't charge an arm and a leg to fix something they failed to fix the first time!) The Noble tech called 30 minutes before he arrived, and fixed the phantom running toilet that the other plumber failed to fix. The tech (Omar) then went on to investigate a backed-up kitchen sink and inoperable garbage disposal. I asked if he could just remove the garbage disposal and not replace it, since I don't use it anyway. After discussing several options with me--and thoroughly explaining the costs, pros, and cons of each approach--I ultimately opted to have the new disposal installed. (The pipe configuration under the sink would have required a lot of rework if I did not just replace the disposal.) Nice that he didn't just go with the most expensive option (not installing a new disposal--which I initially wanted) and nstead gave me less-costly options. Omar was extremely conscientious--double and triple checking both the toilet and the disposal/sink before he left. So nice to know I no longer have to put up with plumbers who are incompetent, overcharge, and ghost customers. Noble is now my go-to plumber!

These guys are GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…read more They quoted me a price for rebuilding my catch basin of $650 over the phone which was at least $800 less than anyone else. They came that day to give me a firm estimate, which was the same. Arrived 2 days latter. The basin was full of sewage, and they had to rod the system first (included in the price.) They were unable to get the line clear. The suggested hydro power flushing for $250. That did not work. For an additional $1400 they put clean-out on my front lawn, and credited me the $250 for the power flushing. The clean-out made it clear that the sewer was collapsed outside of my property line. They set up the city inspection at no extra charge and provided the necessary work for the city to take over and replace 6 feet of sewer under the street. Three of them worked on this project for FIVE FULL DAYS from 10:00am to 6:30pm. The total cost was $2050. I am convinced that they saved me at least $2000. (The city sewer inspector said that most homeowners were usually out over $5000 before the city got called in.)
