I love this store. The prices are amazingly reasonable, staff is knowledgeable, and there is a great assortment of products.

This is going to be long…read more... I'm not quite sure what brought me to Sunshine Corners. I would almost call it serendipity, but I was certainly searching for something, I just didn't know exactly what. I had a day off and had spent the earlier part of it wandering, looking for any remaining independent produce stands, butcher shops, or just something that felt like it would nourish and heal me because I had been feeling....well? physically, emotionally, existentially, and psychologically, like absolute crap. Historically I've spent years independently studying nutrition and biochemistry, herbalism and traditional medicine, but over the years I'd strayed from those things and lost my way. All this to say I may have forgotten some things but I recognize when someone else knows their stuff. I wandered into Sunshine Corners, originally for a good sandwich and maybe some produce. What immediately struck me was how comforting this place was, and how much it felt like the old school apothecaries or coop's before they became adulterated by mainstream capitalist influences. Stay with me here. I overheard Tony talking to one of the people at the front desk and immediately realized "ok, that guy knows his stuff". Meekly, when he had a moment, I walked over to him and basically, in a sort of desperate manner, laid out my litany of aches and pains and mysterious ailments, expecting an abrupt hand waving answer. That is not what I got. Tony spent what might have been somewhere between 45 minutes and an hour with me, patiently asking me questions and pulling out reference literature. He recognized things in me that no one else had been able to see, and pointed me in a direction that has allowed me to focus on actually getting better rather than just collapsing in frustration. Tony, if you're reading this, the time you spent helping me meant so much to me. Your years of wisdom made a huge impact, but more importantly, your humanity.

Nice little health food shop with reasonable prices. Staff were helpful and mostly knowledgable…read more There are a *lot of vitamins and suppliments here plus food and other items. They pack a lot in a small space. We stopped in to pick up suppliments depleted during our travels. If we need to restock other vitamins or suppliments during our stay in the area we will return here.

I keep giving it a chance but every time it just gets worse and worse. Went on Saturday. I liked…read more(past tense) the buttermilk EGG bacon biscuit. It's not exactly cheap but was SO satisfying with that FRESH egg. It hasn't looked right lately and I didn't get one. Finally I straight asked the clerk if they were using processed liquid eggs now and she said yes. You have got to be kidding me? The whole attraction was the REAL EGG. Tastes like ass when you use liquid commercially processed eggs. It is NOT the same. That's why McDs sells so many Egg McMuffins cuz it has a real eggs. Marlenes is really beginning to suck on a lot of fronts. I did get a grab-and-go of garlic salmon and beef meatloaf which were good. I come for the house made food. If I want crap in a can I can get it at Whole Foods and at least they still have real eggs.

I was excited about the deli, but 90% of it was cold items that needed to be heated up. They looked good, but didn't make for a good car snack. The only real grab and go thing is the sandwiches, which took about 20 min to make. I also felt like the reviews overhyped the gluten free baked goods. I only saw gluten free chocolate cupcakes, but had hoped for more. A good, clean stop for anyone who needs some quality food without the stress of a full grocery store, but didn't meet my needs as well as I had hoped. If I needed a fabulous dish to bring home and heat up, this would have been perfect.

I can't express enough how I love that almost all produce is local and I believe all is organic. When we come up I stock up on produce, organic chicken backs, necks, and feet for bone broth, dish soap, bathroom stuff, I bulk order pasta, cheese and spices. It is cheaper than anywhere else on the peninsula for organic local groceries.

I do love going to these types of stores and put it in my mind on a return trip to stop in and check out the store. Well we made a another visit to town a few weekends ago and we made a stop here. Like any good and complete Co-op (I have run into bad ones) the products are of good quality and the food is organic. There is a nice deli area where you can get sandwiches and food bar to dish up if your heart desires it. There is a good health and beauty section where like the quality of the food is a few grades above a run of the mill grocery store which the quality can be questionable and if it's ethically sourced (same concern goes to food too). I purchased a few cans of beer and hop water. The hop water was quite good but it is from a brewery that we have a very high regard for so not a huge surprise. They have a considerable beer and wine selection which is nice. This is a great place to go and support... something I can really get behind is to support local businesses!
