I haven't seen any issues with the amount of clay that is available, and my teacher has been more than willing to mix up what I need. Edit 4/22/2014 I went to open studio this weekend. The monitor was super helpful, but there was no space to do anything and my stuff was moved multiple times by co-op members... I understand that there is a show next weekend, but maybe open studio time should be geared more toward accommodating the people that are paying to be there and less on the co-op members pushing you out of the way to get their stuff done on time... I hate to say this, 1. because I know I will go back there and I really do not mean to offend anyone... I am just giving my opinion and 2. because all of the classes I have taken there have been amazing. However, I keep having not great experiences at open studio. That being said, I have had some open studio's that were great... but not nearly as many as were bad.

From STEM centers, recording studios, craft stations, sports centers, and even health clinics... this place brings such life and joy to the local community. My company was able to help sponsor an event with The Best of the Batch bringing in STEM science experiments for the kids. Charlie's team was phenomenal in making everything go so smooth. If you are local, this place adds such value to the community and you should find a way to support. They service the local community by providing financially challenged communities with the purpose, desire, and resources to give their best efforts in all they do throughout their lives. It's so worth it. You'll be happy that you found a way to get involved. You can't put a price tag on developing the community and reaching the next generation.

Anyways, the visit was filled with visual wonders for the mind and soul. Each piece was truly unique and remarkable in so many ways. Most disciplines of art were represented with shining examples of each. The current exhibition features several highly skilled local Pittsburgh artists. The gallery features art, but also sometimes hosts music shows, which I was happy to be a part of in the past. You will get a plethora of information from the owner if you inquire about the works, artists, or anything and everything. The goal is to allocate monies payable to renters experiencing an urgent need for housing stabilization funds, I was one of those renters. Having trudged a series of events, I found solace through the support and resources offered by the Kingsley Association Navigators and equipment,( I.e. computer, printer, scanner, fax ect... ). I was overwhelmed meeting the demands necessary to keep my home in the wake of this novel "Corona virus." The Navigators showed tact and demonstrated high levels of emotional sensibility; grossly unfounded within vulnerable population community work; bedside manner, while I unpacked the events leading me to apply. In addition, the Navigators extended resources for food and affordable housing, advocated on behalf of my application, and supplied updated program information. Their actions helped to put me at ease and feel supported during the most STRESSFUL times. Having experienced this organization, I do highly encourage residence of Allegheny County particularly those residing within the 15206 zip code to utilize the services made available by the Association. They are truly here to support you through the process.
