Great experience at LA Fitness!…read more The staff was friendly and welcoming, and I appreciated how attentive the team was. there was active cleaning happening while I was there, which made the space feel well cared for. Loved the added perk of towel service, and there's a great variety of group classes to choose from, including Pilates by LA Fitness! Super convenient location too! just a simple walk from the hotel through the skyway bridge, which made getting there quick and easy. Definitely a solid spot to get a workout in while in the Bakery Square area

Wherever I have traveled, LA Fitness gyms always look so nice and upscale. While visiting my…read morebrother in Pittsburgh, I was having back problems that I can usually alleviate with a trip to the gym. So, when I looked around at all the gyms offered in the city and suburbs, I chose this one because it's in one of the toniest neighborhoods and looked quite sophisticated. Looks are deceiving. This is one of the worst gyms I've ever visited. In fact, it's nothing more than what I call a McGym, which is a facility where someone goes in and dumps a lot of equipment into a big room and calls it a gym, but it lacks the other amenities that make it a true gym. Despite the size of this place, it has no walking or running track, and there is plenty of room for it. They also have no swimming pool despite the fact they actually advertise aqua classes on their website for this specific gym! It has no whirlpool or steam room, which you could find at the dowdiest YMCA in a rundown town. Before I could get my opportunity to sample the gym, I had to listen to the sales pitch from one of their associates. When I ask about a pool, his response was, "Not anymore. Anthropology (a store downstairs) didn't appreciate their things getting wet so we had to take the pool out." Well, I didn't appreciate the glib response and I also didn't appreciate being told that if I joined, I could use the pool at the Bridgeville gym, 25 miles away in the suburbs! So, having no pool or whirlpool, I could only do my usual weight routine for my back problems. After I showered, there were no hairdryers to be found. When I inquired about them at the desk, they told me that most people brought their own. I've never been to a gym in my life where they did not offer hairdryers, and again that includes the seediest of YMCAs. This LA Fitness has a lot of the flaws that many commercial gyms have. The staff pretends to be friendly but comes off as placating and condescending. Hence, I'm wondering why LA Fitness is So expensive when Planet Fitness offers pretty much the same amenities. I am attaching two pictures of their website to show that this location advertises water aerobics after removing their pool. Avoid this gym and go to a Y, where you'll find what you really need.

WAY different vibe than different similar branded stores, in a good way! Everyone was super helpful and knowledgeable, and even though they didn't have what I was looking for this trip I will totally be back next time I have something in mind. They had popular brands like Yeti, Vuori, North Face, etc. and when I visited they had clothing items 25% off so I would call before going to ask if a specific item you are looking for may be on sale!

The layout definitely reminded me of a Dick's Sporting Goods store. Everything was pretty pricey, as expected from name-brand outdoor gear, such as The North Face, Columbia, and Patagonia. I learned that you can actually rent all sorts of gear, including tents, sleeping bags, snowboards, bikes and kayaks. They also offer classes/events, mostly focused on rock climbing for now. I do feel that their climbing rates were a bit high for the limited space that they have. Their climbing wall has only 5 vertical routes with a very small bouldering area, and they charge ~$20 for one hour. As an avid indoor rock climber, I would recommend visiting one of Pittsburgh's climbing gyms instead. Their day passes cost ~$20 as well, and you can climb for as long as you like. I see the benefit of having the wall for trying on climbing shoes if you're looking to buy, but not so much for recreational purposes.

The hostess was excellent at assisting with bringing up our food items and making sure everyone had what they needed. Really appreciated her effort and how easy it was to have the party there. It's been such a great place for them to burn energy, build confidence, and just enjoy being kids. The staff at the Bridgeville location are always friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. They keep things running smoothly and make the experience enjoyable every time we visit. It's honestly hard to find any negatives with our local Altitude. Occasionally it can feel a little warm inside, but that's understandable with so much activity going on. We truly love Altitude and are so thankful to have it in our community. Thank you for consistently providing such a fun and welcoming environment for families like ours!

After multiple failed attempts across several channels, it is clear that Urban Air makes it intentionally difficult, if not impossible, to cancel a membership.Timeline of Cancellation AttemptsJanuary 2026: Submitted two separate cancellation requests via the online "Contact Us" form for the North Fayette location. Received only automated emails promising follow-up, but no one ever reached out.Spring 2026: Visited the North Fayette location in person after the initial 6-month contract ended (membership began September 2025). Staff explicitly stated the membership would automatically cancel. It did not, and billing continued.May 2026: Called the location and spoke with Assistant Manager Ella. She claimed the local venue cannot cancel memberships and instructed me to use the same broken online form again.Lack of Accountability and SupportWhen questioned about a refund for the unauthorized charges outside the original agreement, the assistant manager essentially said "good luck." Furthermore, management claimed they did not have a phone number for their own corporate office, telling me to "Google it" while warning that reaching corporate was "not promising."Charging customers outside of a signed membership agreement and refusing to provide a clear cancellation method is completely unacceptable. Avoid this establishment unless you want your bank account held hostage by a business that refuses to stop billing you.

The system to check in was confusing, there's little parental supervision so children are everywhere, and it's loud which I expected. We attempted to get food.
