Just got back from celebrating our 5 year anniversary at the Dragonfly Guest House. We had the greatest experience. David and Charles are awesome hosts. Every morning they had homemade breakfast ready with an egg dish, fruit, yogurt, bagels and there homemade granola. In the afternoon there were homemade cookies waiting for you after your days excursions. The house was very clean and we felt right at home. David and Charles were around the house for whatever you needed or if you had questions about the town. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here there was not a negative thing to say. Well done guys! We will be back! Hi Cooper!! Thanks again for an amazing little vacation!

The staff is exceptional, Pete has this place running like a top! This time we stayed in Barn Suite 2 and I think this may now be my new favorite room. The shower is unbelievable and the room well appointed. And breakfast? The best! They make scones daily and each day is a different main breakfast. They also provide ice tea and either a sangria or other type drink along with house made cookies (best I've ever had) as well as Whoopie pies and mixed nuts and snack mix.

We especially loved the large salt water hot tub and mid-day snacks (mixed nuts and large chocolate chip cookies - which were delicious). They also offer a mixed drink and wine at the self serve bar during the day. We stayed in the King 7 room and it was spacious. We loved the rain shower head. I also highly recommend the chocolate sampler box add on! We had the chocolate and champagne available at check in which was a nice touch. The hot tub was often quiet around 8pm and made for the perfect end of evening activity. They have an ample selection of towels and robes by the pool that are available to use. We also enjoyed a couples massage offered by the inn. Breakfast was very yummy! Each day there is a large selection of options you can pick and choose from. They had the breakfast offering for the day displayed and then you check off what you want with a marker on a short form. The inn is about a 10 minute walk from Footbridge beach, which was awesome. Overall I would recommend for any weekend getaway or celebration!

The room is centered around a large, king bed with comfy sheets and fluffy pillows. The room has a ceiling fan and an A/C that makes the room perfectly cold. The bed is surrounded by beautiful windows that give you great light throughout the day and with the shades, good sleep too. Bathroom is newly updated and very clean. The room is right next to the main entrance which I was a tiny bit worried about but it didn't bother us one bit. The breakfast room is large and open all day. It's not a hot breakfast but they offer things like fruit, yogurt, scones, etc. They put out snacks and baked goods for you to enjoy after breakfast and the coffee/tea bar is open all day too! The property itself is impeccably manicured with beautiful landscaping. There's a hammock next to a cute tiny pond and lilacs everywhere which is amazingly fragrant during May. The porch is lovely and I'd sit out there all day if I could. Great spot for remote work too. Overall, great stay and I will return for sure!

The owners, George and Cathy Wilson, are phenomenal, interesting, salt-of-the-earth people, and they are excellent inn keepers. Their home is as unique in style and decor as it is functional, lending itself to days spent poolside with a book surrounded by acres of wildflowers and trees. A full breakfast is served each morning and it is exceptional. Each room has its own unique amenity: one has a gazebo, two have private screened-in porches, one has a garden entrance, others have fireplaces, etc. There is one suite, three other rooms and also a full apartment. The central air conditioning is a gift from heaven on hot summer days and the pool is amazing - so much more than just the standard cement hole-in-the-ground filled with water. Personal touches abound and it seems that everywhere one looks there is a unique piece of artwork or furniture or sculpture or planting that compliments the whole without being gaudy in the least. Having frequented Ogunquit for ten years, I do not know why I never knew about Beauport before - perhaps because it's a 15 minute walk from the center of town and I just never stumbled upon it until this past weekend. Quick list of other things I love about Beauport: no kids, no pets, no loud delivery trucks rolling by at 4 AM as with the other inns downtown. Well worth the short walk from the center of town, I highly recommend the Beauport Inn.

We loved the great location because we could just park the car while we were in town and walk wherever we need to go. Marginal Way was only a short distance, as was Perkins Cove. Barnacle Billy's (must eat there) was just around the corner. My only critique (and why I didn't give a 5) was that I was disappointed in the muffins we had heard so much about. Both of us remarked afterwards that they were kind of gooey and not up to what we'd expect to find in a quality establishment. Also, in today's food savvy environment, it might be nice to have a protein option, even if they were just boiled eggs. But, those are really just matters of personal preference. We can wholeheartedly recommend this B&B.

Then 5 months go by of phone tag with this new owner saying how sorry he is, it's busy season, he sees I'm owed the money and he is mailing a check. 2 weeks go by and no check so I call again and he apologizes and says he will look into it, then the day before Christmas I get a text saying I am not owed anything but they will send a gift card for $15, not the $240 I'm owed. I called back after the holidays and was told if I can show the gift cards "which they took" then I can get it back. For 6 months you led me on, led me to believe that I would get the money back, it was over $240 which is a lot. I trusted your word and was nice and patient for 6 months for you to pull that on me. You even told me the exact amount that I was owed at one point, over the phone unfortunately. It's not even that you are a small business struggling, you own multiple inns in Ogunquit. I used to love this place when it was owned by the old owners, they were just amazing but this new owner should be ashamed of himself. Mind you this, when I booked my vacation here it was still with the original owners and there was no talk of change in ownership, an email was sent out a month before my stay announcing it, long after it had booked. My gift cards should of been honored no matter what they were and I should of been given back my money.

The historical aspect of the Inn appealed to us (so many cool nooks, crannies, closets, wide planked floors, giant fireplaces, paintings, & more), Claudine, the Inn's manager, is welcoming, fun, funny, engaging, open, & chatty. Our room, the Duchess Ann Suite was a bit challenged by the 3 of us since we needed one bed more, so we were given permission to squeeze in an air bed that made it perfect. Although facing the VERY busy main road leading into & out of town, we did not hear any of the traffic, nor parades of people due to the A/C units. The front gardens are chock-filled with beautiful flowers, & sweet touches such as a bubbling fountain, moss covered structures, & stone pathways leading everywhere. Breakfast was also perfect, especially because we were able to sit outside on the front porch while sipping our coffee, enjoying our yogurt, breads, cereals, juice & more. We could not have asked for a better experience, a better location, a better welcoming & a better 3 sisters' annual get together.

I was treated very poorly during the cancellation process by whoever was writing the (unsigned) emails: they wrote I "misunderstood", "obviously", and that I was a "Karen"! ("Karen is a pejorative slang term for an obnoxious, angry, entitled, and often racist middle-aged white woman who uses her privilege to get her way or police other people's behaviors.") We arrived well after midnight on our check in day due to flight changes, and both Robert and Marsha were awake and waiting, ready to greet their weary late night travelers. After a quick tour, it was off to bed, only to be greeted by a gorgeous (and recently renovated) bedroom and private bath. (So nice, in fact, that family members almost cancelled their reservations at a nearby hotel). We were here for a wedding and became known as the "Party Couple" since we were flirting about, to and from receptions and the ceremony, and Robert and Marsha were more than accommodating at every opportunity. Plus, the house is less than a half mile from downtown (one direction) and Perkins Cove (the other direction). Takes literally minutes to walk to 3+ restaurants for Lobster Rolls (our favorite was Barnacle Billy's but Robert recommends Footbridge). When we left, we had a late flight and had experienced trouble getting Lyft and Uber in the area. Robert personally volunteered to drive us to Portland, ME for our flight so that we didn't miss our travel plans. I cannot rave enough about this gem in Ogunguit. Honestly, I thought about NOT reviewing it in an attempt to keep this gem hidden, but our hosts and stay were just too positive not to share. If you end up booking, tell them the party couple from Colorado sent ya!
