Our fourth stay over the past 7 years and the Dragonfly is just as clean, well cared for, and beautiful as ever. We plan our trips to Ogunquit based on availability at the Dragonfly because after staying here there is no other place we would consider. Charles and David are the nicest gentlemen you'll ever meet. The location is second to none; after arrival we walk everywhere- Perkin's Cove, the beach, Ogunquit Playhouse. There's no place in town you can't walk to within 10 minutes. Just got back from celebrating our 5 year anniversary at the Dragonfly Guest House. We had the greatest experience. David and Charles are awesome hosts. Every morning they had homemade breakfast ready with an egg dish, fruit, yogurt, bagels and there homemade granola. In the afternoon there were homemade cookies waiting for you after your days excursions. The house was very clean and we felt right at home. David and Charles were around the house for whatever you needed or if you had questions about the town. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here there was not a negative thing to say. I have been going to Ogunquit for almost 25 years and I have stayed at a lot of places on Shore Road. From now on, we only stay here. I LOVED IT! It was a perfect combination of home and hotel as a good B & B should be. Charles and David (and Cooper, of course) were amazing and perfect hosts! From beginning to end, it was an awesome stay. As people have already said, their attention to detail is flawless and they are the perfect in every way. Clean rooms, great breakfast, good location ... and cookies at night! The price is quite reasonable as well and I have stayed at everything in Ogunquit from fancy hotels to dive motels. I hope to keep coming back year after year! read more

Staying at Dragonfly Guest House is akin to staying at good friend's house... I did stay at other bed and breakfast places, but Dragonfly truly makes you feel at home. Their attention to every detail and their big hearts will make every guest feel welcome here. Rooms are spotless clean, beds are comfy, fire roaming in common room is welcoming, and breakfast is home-cooked and delicious. (I am still remembering that Banana Nut Bread! Yum!) Personalized toiletries and little chocolates in the rooms are nice touch. To say that Dragonfly Guest house is pet-friendly is not saying enough. It's every pet's dream, too - from fluffy dog bed to feeding dishes and even cute dog treats and decorations! Nice conversations flowing over breakfast table, sunshine pouring into windows, and all beautiful scenery and attractions just short walk away - we had such an amazing time here it was difficult to leave. The Dragonfly is such a cozy place and the hosts are friendly and warm. They make you feel like an old friend from out of town from the minute you check in. The rooms are bright, comfortable and thoughtfully accommodated. The breakfasts are varied and delicious. And the location is perfect; only a minute from shopping and the beach, and 20 minutes from Maine Diner (featured on food network's DDD). Kittery, Portland and Nubble Lighthouse are also easily accessible via highway 1. We hope to stay here again someday. read more

Hands down, our best and most memorable experience at a B&B. The owners, Charles and David, make you feel welcome and comfortable 100% of the time you are there with their great food, good humor, and fun stories. They take time out of their busy mornings to meet and get to know each guest individually. They are genuinely interested in ensuring you have a great time with them and in Ogunquit if you are visiting. Super helpful and great conversationalists. The inn itself is on a gorgeous little piece of property that the owners painstakingly brought back to life, one door panel at a time. There are many delicious New England breakfasts to be had in the area, in fact right next door, but we chose to eat out on the deck every morning; the warm sun and great view coupled with some BOLD coffee trumped all. If you are planning on staying in Ogunquit, plan on staying at the Dragonfly - as I see it would be impossible to have anything less than a 5 star experience!!! The owners, COOPER, the common area and patio, room was amazing, great breakfasts and spotlessly clean at all times! Owners should open up different locations and market their expertise in the B&B business! Of course, that would mean a LOT more vaccuming for Charles. Great spot located just minutes walk from the beach, the cove, many restaurants and shops, and just about anything and everything you want to do. read more

Just leaving our 5th consecutive stay at the Dragonfly Guest House. There is nowhere else we would stay in the Ogunquit/Kennebunkport area. We started staying there 5 years ago because we needed a place that was pet friendly. Charles and David, the innkeepers, are pet (and people) LOVING, with a separate room and entrance for our lily, who feels very special because only one dog stays at a time! (Except for Cooper who lives there!) The rooms are meticulously clean. Breakfast is gourmet - casseroles, frittata, quiche, etc! And the afternoon cookies! Not to be missed. The location is convenient to Perkins Cove, the shops and restaurants in Ogunquit and Marginal Way. Making our reservation for next year NOW!!! read more

This place is a great find. The location was perfect. Short walk to Marginal Way, Perkins Cove and many great restaurants. We stayed in the pet friendly room Coopers Room and it was incredibly clean and comfortable with cute dog themed decor. Our hosts Charles and David were friendly and welcoming with a wealth of knowledge of the surrounding area with plenty of recommendations. The breakfasts were great (we loved the homemade granola). My wife and I chose the Dragonfly Guest House (for a special birthday weekend) based on the great reviews here on Yelp and elsewhere. We were not at all disappointed! Charles and David host an immaculately clean, well-maintained and tastefully decorated guest house, with fabulous breakfasts, afternoon cookies, and coffee, tea and water for anytime of day or night. We stayed in the Lilac Room, which is probably the smallest of the rooms. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom on the small side but extremely clean and quite elegant. Our room had a small private deck that faced Shore Road. The hosts were very kind and accommodating, and chatted with us during our breakfast (they even presented me with a piece of breakfast cake with a candle in it, while singing me "Happy Birthday!"). They are genuinely interested in people, and obviously love what they do, and the space they have created. As others have said, they treat others like guests, in the best sense of that term. The location, between Perkins Cove and downtown Ogunquit, was perfect for people like us, who wanted to leave our car parked and explore the town on foot. Highly recommended! My wife and I celebrated our 32nd anniversary by spending 3 nights at The Dragonfly. From the moment we were greeted at the door it felt more like we were visiting friends than staying at a guesthouse. I can't say enough about our hosts; Charles, David and Cooper. You could tell immediately that they have a genuine passion for their craft. The grounds were meticulously landscaped, the house was spacious and comfortable, our room was clean and well appointed. Our hosts' attention to detail left us wanting for nothing; from the delicious breakfast buffet to the terrycloth robes hanging in the closet to the fresh baked cookies every evening. I wish we had stayed longer in this great B&B! The owners, David and Charles were the perfect combination of helpful with advice on restaurants etc but also not seeming intrusive at all. The house is really nicely decorated and our room was spacious and clean and the bed was very very comfortable. It's close to the shore path for walking/running and in between the two major centers of town. They provided little chocolates in the room and a great breakfast in the AM. On top of that we had access to snacks on the table and beverages whenever you felt like it in the fridge. Their dog Cooper is kind of the topper; so sweet and gentle and fun to have a dog presence on vacation. We'd love to come back again and stay longer read more

From the moment I booked the room with Dragonfly Guest House, I knew this would be a great vacation for my boyfriend and I. Charles called the next day to confirm that he had the correct dates for us. I reserved in April for a trip in October;in mid-August, I called to see if we could switch rooms to accommodate our dog. I had originally booked the Sunflower room, but Charles was happy to switch us to Cooper's room, and said he was excited to meet our pooch! We arrived around noon (check-in was officially at 3), but Charles quickly finished our room, and let us check in then. True to his word, he was excited to meet our dog and was quick to tell us the attractions in the area that allow dogs! Throughout our two night stay, both Charles and David showed interest in us as people; asking where we are from, what we do for a living, what our interests are and what brought us to Ogunquit. They were also open to telling us their story, and how they got to Ogunquit. Very down to earth and friendly! Awesome homemade breakfasts,and delicious homemade cookies as an afternoon treat! The room was well-kept and the B&B itself is in a great locations-walking distance from Perkin's Cove, downtown Ogunquit, and the Marginal Way. From the moment I stepped in the door I knew this was a special place. The Dragonfly Guest House is warm, comfortable, charming & cozy-all the things you look for in a B&B. This, combined with the convenient location and the gracious and friendly owners Charles and David make this a 10 in my book. I visited this November with my best friend for a girls weekend before her upcoming weekend, and we had such a wonderful time. We loved sipping wine by the fire with the resident pup cooper (who quickly became our new friend) and were greeted by an amazing breakfast the next morning. My friend also enjoyed what she described as "the best massage ever!" -she's a Physical Therapist so she knows her stuff! We left relaxed, rejuvenated, and feeling like we had just stayed with great friends. A lifelong Ogunquit fan, I know I will make this my go-to spot from now on, and look forward to visiting soon! My wife and I had a wonderful overnight stay here in May of 2013. The home sits in a perfect location between downtown and Perkins Cove, it's a short walk to anywhere you'd like to go. The house is lovely, it's immaculate inside and out. The guest room was large and well appointed. We highly enjoyed the breakfast that Charles and David provided, as well as their hospitality. We enjoyed getting to know them over fresh coffee and an amazing french toast dish. We hope to return on a yearly basis, and have recommended Dragonfly to everyone we know. read more
