Most rooms have a private half or full bath (ours was a halfbath). Very comfortable bed, with fluffy pillows and comforter. The full bathroom was right next door and easy access. While other guests were around we felt like we were the only ones. Breakfast of fruit juice, coffee, fruit and the best local bakery blueberry muffins! Yum. We had a bountiful snack basket in our room with bottles of water. It's just a few blocks walk Perkins cove with the shops and eateries. They are very conscious of the risk of covid and properly sanitized. During a time when travel can be more scary than fun, they take your concerns away. We felt safe and their property is impeccable.

We arrived well after midnight on our check in day due to flight changes, and both Robert and Marsha were awake and waiting, ready to greet their weary late night travelers. After a quick tour, it was off to bed, only to be greeted by a gorgeous (and recently renovated) bedroom and private bath. (So nice, in fact, that family members almost cancelled their reservations at a nearby hotel). We were here for a wedding and became known as the "Party Couple" since we were flirting about, to and from receptions and the ceremony, and Robert and Marsha were more than accommodating at every opportunity. Plus, the house is less than a half mile from downtown (one direction) and Perkins Cove (the other direction). Takes literally minutes to walk to 3+ restaurants for Lobster Rolls (our favorite was Barnacle Billy's but Robert recommends Footbridge). When we left, we had a late flight and had experienced trouble getting Lyft and Uber in the area. Robert personally volunteered to drive us to Portland, ME for our flight so that we didn't miss our travel plans. I cannot rave enough about this gem in Ogunguit. Honestly, I thought about NOT reviewing it in an attempt to keep this gem hidden, but our hosts and stay were just too positive not to share. If you end up booking, tell them the party couple from Colorado sent ya!

What a delightful stay at this super sweet inn- thanks to my SIL for recommending it and making the…read morereservations for us! It was a perfect getaway for hubby's birthday. When we arrived, I immediately partook in a warm homemade oatmeal raisin cookie and a hot cup of coffee offered in the lobby area, and my SIL & I sunk into the comfy leather couches to rest our feet. Wow- that really hit the spot after walking around Perkins Cove all afternoon! Our room was perfect. Beautiful views and the most comfortable bed (with the most luxurious sheets, btw!). The room came equipped with our own Keurig and fridge (with bottled waters) and Lindt chocolates, yum! Love the sliding pocket door leading to our bathroom and the cozy decor of the entire room. The Covid prevention at the inn was A+ excellent. Hand sanitizers everywhere and the entire inn was spotless clean. And even though we all wore masks, it was easy to see everyone who greeted us was smiling, especially Bruce! Extremely warm & friendly environment. I really LOVED breakfast and appreciated the ordering process: wipe-away mini menus where we checked off what we wanted to order. Brilliant! By the way- possibly the best blueberry pancakes I've ever had in my life! Thank you again for a wonderful stay! We will most definitely be back! Highly recommend! Great location- walking distance to so many cute shops & restaurants!

There was a nice large shower in the bathroom, along with a pedestal sink, and a cabinet to store your toiletries. We had a mini-frig and coffee maker in our room. In the Lobby there's a seating area, dining tables, games, puzzles, and a few books to read. Outside, there are rocking chairs all along the deck, plus more dining tables. The pool and hot tub looked very nice, although we didn't use them, but others were enjoying them and the lounge chairs on the pool deck. The staff were friendly, and provided little extras, such as fresh-baked cookies each day, water, coffee, snack bags. The Continental Breakfast was easy and just right amount of food first thing in the morning, before heading out for the day...a nice selection of hard boiled eggs, bagels & Cream Cheese or peanut butter, toast, pastries, fruit, cereals, milk, juices, coffee, tea, and Hot Chocolate. It was an easy walk down to the shops on Shore Rd, Main Street, and Beach St that takes you out to Ogunquit Beach. If walking is more of a challenge for you, the Trolley stops right outside of the Inn. The path leading to Marginal Way is right next door, as well. Not a criticism, but just full transparency...this is an OLD building that's been updated, but the floors still creak, and are slightly uneven. We highly recommend The Colonial Inn, and will revisit in the future.
