This is an enjoyable place to chill and look in when you're at the mall. I visit here every time I…read morecome. The items here are rather pricey in comparison to other places that also carry them, but I love the vast amount of items you can choose from, especially the shirts and unique candy. A lot of my shirts have come from here. This is also a good place to look for a lot of hard-to-find items. I've been able to find figures/Blu-rays/etc. here that are always sold out of other stores, or said stores never carried them in the first place. Employees always have a good attitude and are knowledgeable about what you ask them about. They get a lot of my odd little pop culture references and can carry on a good conversation. A good bit of my time at the mall is spent in here, and it'll probably continue to be that way.

The back of the store, for me, is where the magic happens. Great selection of Vinyl Records, if you're into those things. Carl has a vast knowledge of the music industry and it appears most genres of music. The selection includes some really great hard to find offerings that you aren't going to find at the standard place in Gadsden that sells records. Also, it isn't like what you find at the Antique Malls - there are used options available, but there is also a great selection of stuff that has just been released. Prices are reasonable and in some cases really good. As I was leaving with my finds for the day we had a conversation about some bands we liked. I asked if he would be able to get a record I had been looking for, sure enough it's currently on order and should be arriving soon. Really happy I found out about this place and checked them out. I plan on becoming a regular customer moving forward.

Books-A-Million is the staple big bookstore in smaller towns across Alabama. (I didn't go to my…read morefirst Barnes & Noble until I moved to El Paso)... in general, the two bookstores aren't THAT much different other than the coffee Shoppe. BAM has Joe Muggs instead of Starbucks.. and I'm not gonna lie, I think I like Joe better than the bucks. Any who. This particular store is in the Gadsden Mall as opposed to a stand alone or an outlet shoppe , so it stays pretty busy. It's also a bit small and cramped and because of all that it seems messy and chaotic. It's not a peaceful place to read in a comfy chair while you sip a cup of tea trying to decide which book(s) to buy... But it's good just for perusing the shelves. They have pretty much anything for anyone and any occassion (I do a lot of gift shopping here because books are my favourite gifts to give.) The children's section is pretty big and kid friendly. They have your standard new arrivals/book club/ popular fiction, entertainment section with games and such, lots of bios, a magazine wall, self help, educational, etc. They also keep up with the required reading lists from local schools and keep those in stock so you don't have to search hard. Like I said, anything for anyone. It's not the best, but it's still a bookstore. And that's enough to make me happy.

We came in for the first time over the weekend. This shop provides a ton of collectible…read moremerchandise, Bama memorabilia, comics, the whole nine yards. We must have spent an hour browsing and we probably still missed some stuff. The staff was great. We were greeted as soon as we entered. He also made sure we didn't need anything while we shopped. He was very attentive. When we found something in the case we wanted he was quick to come over. The contents of the store was extensive. They had trading cards of all sorts, comics, funko pops, lots of sports merchandise, and old and new toys. So much stuff I probably missed a lot. Their signed collectibles come with letters of authenticity. Also their prices seem very fair and reasonable. We will definitely be going back!
