We must have spent an hour browsing and we probably still missed some stuff. The staff was great. We were greeted as soon as we entered. He also made sure we didn't need anything while we shopped. He was very attentive. When we found something in the case we wanted he was quick to come over. The contents of the store was extensive. They had trading cards of all sorts, comics, funko pops, lots of sports merchandise, and old and new toys. So much stuff I probably missed a lot. Their signed collectibles come with letters of authenticity. Also their prices seem very fair and reasonable. We will definitely be going back!

Whenever I break something on one of my RC's, I am always at ease knowing the guys at RC Hobby Barn are going to make sure I get the parts I need to fix it. Upstairs they also have a bunch of great models and model-rocket gear. This place has a little bit of everything and I find myself scouring the aisles looking at random stuff on a weekly basis. If you've ever thought about getting into Hobby RC's or are into it and cannot find a good local place, this place is just for you. A local shop with great staff, great inventory, and a really cool RC track behind the shop open to everyone.

There is a beautiful chocolate lab that sits right at the door, I am assuming it is the owner's dog. The owner or person who worked at the door however was hands down the rudest individual I think I have met this year. I came to the store seeking models that I cannot find and this store had some however the gentleman at the front BERATED my 9 year old son and make me feel like a common criminal. My son picked up a pen that will float it you toss it but the owner literally screamed at my son and asked him what would happen if the pen knocked down the plane, which was attached in four different spots and weighed easily 50-70 lbs and was secured in four different spots and the pen might have weighed .5 ounces, but I digress: the store was decent, some older models but some new. The models are overpriced by about 15%, knowing the Horizon Hobby website pretty much by heart but things like that do not matter to me. I WANTED to spend money here and the guy could have genuinely been having a bad day but I wouldn't spend money here because the man is an absolute asshole. So sir, if you see this review, i don't know what your problem is, but you did it to yourself.

Amazing shop w/ great selection & a lot of heart!!!!!…read more I found the site on Christmas Eve when I was Googling Star Wars figures, and wound up placing a mid-size order for a bunch of used Star Wars action figures - they shipped them out right after Christmas, and just a day later I had them in hand. The box was SO carefully packed - every figure's box was individually wrapped w/ bubble wrap and masking tape, and in perfect condition. This was the first time I'd ever heard of Infinity Flux, and I was super impressed with how they got 4 figures packed, shipped, and delivered within 3 days, all during a holiday week. I love seeing an independent comic shop thriving, and caring well for their customers. Will be placing more orders in the future - thanks!!

It was a older lady and it was heartbreaking the kid was going to buy the figure she had common sense i can see why they fret over it but i wish a different approach was taken considering how upset the kid got. I understood the concern but i also know many kids have opened things then bought them there from accounts of the kid and was shocked they treated her different i don't need your recurring feedback on how u saw the approach we have never had a issue like this in there before besides today.I really am disappointed in the staff because we were going to buy it i think she just wanted to know what was inside and if it was a dud it was a dud. She had money and was going to buy it once it was opened but unfortunately, they just assumed she was breaking or opening a toy yo put it back so i fear a miscommunication was in place because she was going to buy it but that was never asked .

Homewood Toy and Hobby, 2830 18th Street South, Birmingham, AL 35209…read moreWe have been going to Homewood Toy and Hobby for years, and it continues to be one of those special local stores that is a pleasure to visit. One thing we noticed right away is how convenient and accessible the store is. There is plenty of parking, and they have both a front and back entrance, along with a handicap ramp. That may sound like a small detail to some people, but for someone using a wheelchair or needing easier access, it makes a big difference. The aisles are also wide enough for a wheelchair, which is not always the case in small specialty stores. The service is prompt, friendly, and genuinely kind. The employees are wonderfully nice and helpful without making you feel rushed. My brother enjoyed looking around, taking his time, and selecting what he wanted to buy. That kind of patient, friendly atmosphere means a lot. The store has an amazing assortment of hobby items. They carry model railroading supplies, model airplanes, model cars, military miniatures, radio-controlled vehicles, helicopters, cars, and many other hobby and collectible items. It is the kind of store where you can go in for one thing and still enjoy walking around just to see everything they have. Homewood Toy and Hobby also has the feel of a place that has earned loyal repeat customers over the years. That says something good about both the store and the people who run it. We are thankful for a local hobby store like this and appreciate the kindness, accessibility, and great selection they offer. God bless! Mark and Tim Elders
