My Review of this amazing place speaks for its self! 5
    Gary J.

Yesterday was my first Distillery Experience as I have been to more than 50 brewery's across these amazing United States. I was extremely impressed with the knowledge that Chris displayed through a little over and Hour of Narration from start to finish! Entrepreneur this 1 of 2 principles is! They are building a phenomenal brand with astonishing taste like I've never tasted. The Amaretto has such a unique flavor with a Maraschino touch that pleases the pallet like no other. The Apple pie was like a taste fresh from Grandmas oven with a warming that gives a fantastic finishing touch. The Silver Rum in my opinion would be a hit and certainly rival that of any rum a pirate would drink upon swaying the decks of the high seas! I cannot wait to come back to this region so that I can visit this great place once again! FIVE STARS FOR SURE!!! - Gary Johnson -California

Dragon Moonshine Company is relatively new to the area. Local and I mean locals guys fulfill a dream. We had the great pleasure of meeting Christopher co-owner local guy Banker turned Distillery Master that knows his business. We purchased and amazing deal on Groupon and believe me it was a steal for what he had to offer. We spent almost 2.5 hours drinking and learning about the vision, process, direction the company is headed. You can tell from the great details and excitement he has a true passion for what he does. Amazing Run that Apple Pie and Amaretto are going to put you over the top. All I ask is I want to purchase a case of your first batch. Support local business and stop by and ask for Chris. A must try if you are in the NODA area. Tell them Yelp sent you. Caution - Don't let the sweetness of the rum fool you. Have an uber on standby, lol.

Do not waste your time. I purchased a groupon to take friends and we've now been twice and the same sign was up both times. (See below) I've called 3 times and no answer just machine. Very frustrating to have wasted money and time for us to drive from all different parts of the city to come down not once but twice and it's like they haven't even changed the sign in a month.

Chris and Rick are awesome. We went here for a tour and tasting. We had a great time with these two. Chris put on a great tour. The amaretto and apple pie are must haves. Highly recommended!!!

A very thorough experience that allows for one to understand the hard work and chemistry that goes into creating craft spirits. Sampling's were provided at the end and it was so easy to purchase a bottle at the end, reasonably priced at $25 per bottle. The space is not big but the tour has quite a bit of info that you do not notice. Our tour guide gave us the history and you can really tell the people behind this distillery are dedicated to its success. I definitely suggest a visit to this place. Worth every penny.

This is a great small business that is taking a positive turn and growing quickly. There is free parking on the street or in the shared gravel lot. It's a hidden place. it's like a speak easy where you might pass it by......when looking for it. The name may fool you. It's not moonshine, but rum. Comes in three flavors original 80 proof, apple pie, and amaretto. The number one sold (drum roll please) Amaretto. Big surprise for me. It has a smooth taste with a cake batter finish. Once I tried it I could tell why. The apple pie has a cinnamon stick in it and you really have to take your time when you sip it. The original you can mix or take as a shot. I liked the original because for a rum it wasn't over powering sweet or syrupy. It had a smooth finish. They are making a new vodka soon to be released later this year. Went for a tour on Friday night. The tour is in one large room and you get a better understanding of the process of how it's made and how the owners got there. The rums are sold at the ABC store in NC so even if you can't make it by the production place you can grab a bottle at the local store. Great place to go to explore your city and support small business owners. Enjoy!!

My wife and I visited this distillery on Dec 28th as a part of our stay in Charlotte for our wedding anniversary. To keep it short, it was a great tour with great tasting liquor! I learned more than a few things about alcohol and the process to make rum too include different types of rum. The shot glasses that come with the tour are a great touch also! I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone who is in the area for a day or two. Long Live LPR!!

When I first walked in, I wasn't sure what to expect but as the tour begin with Chris (one of the owners) it was great. He was very personable and knowledgeable about rum and the making of the product. It was very interesting to go through the steps and to taste the end product. I will be back and continue to support this local business. Currently they have 3 types of rum and the AMARETTO was my favorite. We bought a bottle.

Didn't even go in. Looked like a sketchy dive. Difficult to even find the door. No thanks. We moved on.

In town for a few days. One of.my friends is a big whiskey bourbon fan. So I wanted to do something…read morefun for them. When you walk it's like a light shines upon all things whiskey and bourbon. Very cute and quaint. Ashley conducted the tasting for us. They had the flights and I had a lemon drop. We then sat in the heated tent to finish our drinks. There was a food truck as well. City cookout I believe was the name, we orders chicken sandwiches and then wings. Everything was good. They were having a live band that night. They also have a cigar lounge. I forgot to get picks of drink and my friend's flights. Maybe next time. But there will be a next time for a visit. Any whiskey and bourbon drinkers and lovers make sure to stop by. Thank me later......

My friend and I decided to host our book club here. We didn't call ahead so we failed to realize…read morethe indoor space was booked, however we knew there was plenty of outdoor space to accommodate us. I cannot stress how amazing the service was. When I walked in, I let the bartender know we were hosting a group and he directed any newcomers towards our area. He was also very helpful in helping me navigate the drink selection and shared with me that they had an onsite food truck that was open. Unfortunately the weather was pretty toasty, but they had a tent space that was unoccupied with two small fans, so we moved our group in there. Towards the end of our visit, I had a chance to chat with the event manager who gave me her info in case we wanted to try and reserve the indoor space for future events. Overall, I could tell that they passionately cared that all their guests have a great experience. When you walk in, it is clear that they want to make everyone feel welcome and included.
