Lemonade slushee with tequila, tajin and gummy worms
    Kylie A.

Wowza! A lemonade slushee sounded so refreshing and the bartender recommended adding tequila, tajin, and a gummy worm. Yes you read that correctly, a gummy worm. It was freaking phenomenal! Very refreshing and made a simply slushee fun!

Every time we come to Camp North End, we love visiting this bar. Super easy access and they are always open on their designated times (unlike other businesses in the area where they say they are open but then they are not) i love that you can get a to go cup and take your drink out to visit other shops in Camp North End. They do allow dogs, and we had pleasant encounters with a few while here. Its never that busy, and the bartender was super friendly and efficient. They do offer a variety of beers and wines to choose from. Fair prices but the normal bar things. It's definitely our go-to spot, and I hope it stays here for a while.

Free Range is a pretty standard brewery and they carry something for every palette. Seriously - they have a mimosa slushee so your friend who wants to Sunday Funday over mimosas has a choice as well (and we all have a few mimosa friends). I love a spot with helpful bar staff and a great seltzer on the menu - this is it. That and you can sample the beverages which is a huge plus. It's a chill, casual spot for the laid back and unpretentious. Enjoy!

Soooo many selections to choose from! Definitely something for everyone. Great customer service & knowledge from the bartenders. Intimate but airy it's a very comfortable place to hang out, share a bottle of wine, & people watch.

One of the best atmosphere's in the country. Dozens of old leather couches and litter the concrete floor sitting on rugs. It is undeniably cozy! I just sit and chill out. Especially when they have live music going which is several times a week. The beer is good but I return for the atmosphere. Service: 5 - Ordered at the bar. Beer delivery is quick. I'm not sure if they ever close the room to make it into a speakeasy but it was opened when we were there. They don't service food but there was a food truck on the property. The food truck is called Lucky Duck. I'm not sure if different food trucks come on different days. We got fries, wrap, and grilled cheese. The grilled cheese would have been so good if there was sauce to dip into. Otherwise the food was really good.

I was able to order a beer and find a quiet place to take one last work call before it was time to fight the traffic getting home. NoDa was peaceful, the beer was excellent and as much as I wanted one of those delicious looking pizzas, Mrs. K. was cooking a steak for dinner this evening. NoDa has a large parking lot, a variety of beers and large seating areas both inside and out. This is truly a five star brewpub. [Review 580 of 2026 - 4670 in North Carolina - 25761 overall]

Lots of beer options, wine and other cocktails to choose from. Everyone was super friendly and efficient. They have an outdoor space as well with patio seating and a yard for kids to play at. I love that they have a parking lot so no need to pay for parking or fight for some street parking as well. Been back twice and have always had a great time.

After seeing their impressive IG posts advertising their brunch spread, we decided to check them…read moreout. Well, kudos to their social media manager because the post is better than IRL! Before I get to the food portion of the review, let's start with the basics. Brunch starts at 10am and there is a bit of a line that queues outside prior to the doors opening. And no judgement, but there were a lot of serious eater profiles in line so that made us even more optimistic about the food. The line does move a little slow as they take payment up front and also make drinks while slapping a wristband on to tell who paid for the buffet and who didn't. Not sure why they bothered because there wasn't anyone standing online checking for wristbands. But the place was packed by 10:45 so I would advise getting here earlier vs later. Also, unless I missed it, there wasn't a menu board listing what exactly was on the buffet. We assumed that the menu was similar to what we saw on IG. That was a mistake. The selection included waffles, chicken strips, scrambled eggs, shrimp and grits, biscuits and country gravy, bacon, sausage, fruit salad, salmon patties and an omelette make to order window. The good. The shrimp and grits were the best items on the menu. The grits were legitimately delicious and contained plenty of shrimp. However there were no bowls, only plates so if you don't like the run off effect, beware. The chicken tenders were good not great. The segments were irregular resulting in uneven frying with some of my pieces over fried. The bad. The eggs, sausage links, gravy and fruit salad were synonymous with the continental breakfast you get at the Hampton Inn. The sausage links in particular had that dull grey complexion that reeked of either steam or microwave but definitely not griddle cooked. The scrambled eggs essentially fused together in the serving pan so you had to scoop it out like ice cream. And my lady ordered from the omelette bar, and after waiting 15 minutes for it to be ready, she ended up with an inedible omelette that looked like it had been bathed in grease. The ugly. I ordered a Bloody Mary from the bar. The Bloody Mary was good, and included a decent garnish of okra and olives. However, I only ordered that one drink and the 2 buffets. Final ticket came to $87! Not sure how much they charged me for the bloody but I think I would stick with water or a beer if I were you. We may have caught them on an off weekend so there's that to consider. But in general, if quantity over quality is your groove, then by all means make this your next stop. But if you are looking for a brunch with a little more "cookery", you may want to look elsewhere.

EDIT (5/27/28): When we entered and sat down, to the bartenders credit, he swiftly asked us what we wanted. As we were describing the general vibe of the drinks we wanted, the attitude of the bartender manifested as very condescending and lacking in general back-and-forth discourse. Despite the dismissive attitude, but after the drinks were made, we attempted to thank the bartender, but his only response was a derisive chortle before walking off. For the remainder of our stay, he was flirting with some female patrons at the other end of the bar.
