    I asked for no nuts

Make sure you check your food! I placed a call in to go order at Dragon House one afternoon (Kung Pao chicken no peanuts with vegetable fried rice). I arrived about 20 minutes later, paid, grabbed my food, and went on my way. I noticed that the plastic to-go bag itself was already tied in a knot and didn't bother to pry it open in order to check my food since I was driving. Once I got all the way home the first thing I saw was peanuts throughout the entire entree. I called back to inform the restaurant of the error and she placed me on hold while she looked up my order. She came back to the phone and explained that while my order was put in the system correctly it was her that told the cook to place peanuts on top anyway and suggested I just pick them out. I was shocked that she would so carelessly suggest something like that because for someone with a severe peanut allergy it could be deadly for the customer and maybe even lead to the downfall of her business. I was then told to bring the food back. I wasn't close, it would be a complete inconvenience on me to drive all the way back. I just asked for a refund since the food was now inedible. The employee got an attitude at my unwillingness to bring it back, insinuated that I was trying to get free food, and eventually hung up the phone on me. I immediately called back and spoke with the same woman who very reluctantly agreed to refund the money. The negligence & blatant disregard for the customer's order in the first place, the accusations, and outright disrespect is why I will have no problem going elsewhere for Chinese food.

Even though I prefer this place based on taste of their dishes, the portions are really small. I tried to support a local mom and pop shop, but I need something for my money.

I had the Kung Pao Chicken with steamed rice and an egg roll. It was really good with a nice level of spiciness. Just the right size for lunch. Probably busier as a take-out place than dine-in. I dined in and service was quick and friendly. Can get noisy at noon as people from around come in and talk on their cell phones. Dining room was clean but pretty utilitarian. I'll come back!

    Plastic in General Tsos Tofu.

I got General Tso's tofu and it was pretty bland, and also there was a piece of plastic in it which was really gross because it was large and in the middle of my food. I noticed it was not that great and then half way in my food a piece of plastic. My friend wasn't a fan of the Tangerine Chicken either.

If you're looking for a good Chinese spot in the area, this is it! Food is fresh and cooked to order. I had braised wings, shrimp fried rice, egg roll and egg drop soup. Everything was really good. The shrimp fried rice was way above average considering this is a take out spot! Definitely worth trying.

Dinner! Hot and Spicy Beef. Ample portion and just the right amount of spice.

Just awful! Oil tasted super old. The beef sticks were burnt and could have passed for jerky. $55 for crap. Won't be returning.

Pretty flavorless, like most Chinese food in this area. Stick with Thai or Japanese if you are looking authenticity and flavor.

Ritual: smoke... go to dragon house! Ask for extra shrimp in the fried rice. And the sesame chicken be bussin!

AMBIANCE (4/5): Tons of indoor & outdoor patio seating, although it seemed like everyone pre-ordered or picked up to go. They have 2 long communal tables and a ton of 2-4 people tables. The wood tables make it look rustic, pop music playing so it's not awkwardly quiet. SERVICE (3/5): You order at the counter first, a single cashier, but it goes fairly quickly. Most of the staff is in the back kitchen. It's more "serve yourself". You grab your own drinks from the fridge, all utensils, napkins, and water are already on the table, and throw your own trash away, everything is in disposable containers. FOOD (4/5): $22 BUILD YOUR OWN BOWL: I personally didn't like the signature rice, I wanted the crispy rice fritters but they were sold out at 1:30pm on a Friday. The crispy Brussels were AMAZING! Definitely get this for a (+$2.50 upgrade). Bulgogi ribeye was sweet and delicious! Cashier offered a side of spicy Korean sauce which I didn't realize I'd be charged for, just wish she told me it was an additional cost (+$0.75). It doesn't need any extra sauce, the bowls are very saucy! And I'm a heavy sauce person. Also added a fried egg (+$2). The bowl was very delicious, minus the signature rice, I'd get all crispy Brussels next time! $4 BUTTERFLY TEA: very sweet, but good! $4 MINI COOKIES (4-PACK): I got 2 chocolate chip and 2 banana chip cookies. A little dry, but yummy. OVERALL (4/5): This is a FAST-CASUAL restaurant. They ask for automatic tip at the cashier, but you pretty much service yourself except when they bring out the food. I honestly wasn't expecting to spend this much for a quick lunch (total was $36), but I wanted to try everything. Now I know what I like and don't like here and excited to try some of the other bowl options! Definitely recommend this place! Very yummy!
