This place is stunning. Came in for a sage stick and found it immediately by the front door. They sell so many different herbs here. The lady working the front was sooo friendly. The owner is super nice too. Loved meeting him. There are tons of crystals, tarot cards, etc. Everything is right up my alley and would definitely visit again if I was in the area

Incredible establishment, my favorite herbarium. The best the city has to offer. I recommend to anyone who is on need of herbs or supplies.

I'm so happy I stumbled upon this place. Great selection of herbs and tinctures. I was greeted by a lovely human who was amazing enough to give me the rundown of how they operate. Both staff were very polite and very knowledgeable. I will definitely continue shopping here for bulk items.

This shop packs a lot into a small space. I was interested in tea and their bulk teas are very inexpensive. I'm brewing some now! They have tinctures and extracts too. But they also have a large selection of minerals and crystals in smaller sizes, very bright tie dye clothing, some ikat clothing, various paraphernalia. They have an interesting display of fluorescent minerals. And they join the small odd and unusual museums list for their collection of dragon statues. Another dragon statue museum in Portland? Don't know of any! I needed some teas on my own expert advice and they served me well. All the staff was fine. There are a sub handful of herb shops in Portland metro with this selection. A great local small business to support.

    Anyone wanna party? Lol

Admittedly, prices are on the high side (which is why this is four stars instead of five), but I feel like the quality of the oils is high, and the quality of the service was excellent. And my equine clients are already loving my new blend. I will definitely be back!

Bing AI recommended Briar Patch Herbs as a local place to find herbs. The ambiance inside and out, is so Portland! I went with my herbalist friend who was so excited to find the best Bitters that she's ever found. It was like a Portlandia place, which organically grew for the love of herbs, by locals with a passion for herbs, plants, stones, and book. I was especially intrigued by the glass jar of "Grounding Roots" because so many people in my life have commented on how "ungrounded I am" My herbalist friend and I checked out the "Grounding Roots", "Liver Support", "Kidney Support" and "Immune Support" blends. They are all wonderful! I bought the "Grounding Roots" and had a cup of it tonight. It is so yummy that I think it is going to be my new evening tea. I appreciated how the owner encouraged customers to wear masks and stay distanced while enjoying the shop. I was a little overwhelmed as the walls are FILLED with teas, oils, tinctures and so much more. My eye was drawn to the chai area of the tea section. There were at least 5 different blends to choose from ranging from crazy spicy (I'm looking at you, turmeric chai), to more sweet with vanilla rooibos. I purchased some Firefly Chai which is a caffeine free version somewhere in between sweet and spicy. It is delicious. I spent some time finding some amazing new oil blends as well! Again, lovely place and super welcoming!

Sure enough, I ended up with a very large and complicated order I needed to ask five different people for help and every last one was just delightful. The customers were even amazing. Checking out was very easy and they have bags that are not going to fall apart since it is nice to not bag something to deliver and have the bag falling apart. Now if only the customers ordering groceries were as nice as the store! Hay, so you order and we get assigned multiple orders.... it happens. The reason I needed FIVE different people to help was that one of my two customers was adding items and changing other items which means I get to go back to the other end of the store to change out stuff. Then starts sending messages asking how long I am going to be because they are late leaving to go to the river. These are also always the people who don't tip their shopper they just legit tortured and caused their other order to also be late. Pro tip - don't be a jerk and plan ahead - who orders delivery of groceries when they are scheduled to leave??? But definitely shop at this store. They were the reason I managed to stay zen while being verbally harassed through texts.

They're open on Mondays, which is rare since many restaurants are closed, so it was nice to try it before leaving. My sister ordered the spaghetti and cheese with two large meatballs, garlic bread, and the Chicago beef with Italian sausage, and both were great. The meatballs were especially delicious. I just wish more were included, though extras are available to order. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan sandwich which was very cheesey and flavorful. Afterward, we noticed you can add pepperoni and make it a "Chicken Parmeroni," which sounds like a better option. The large antipasta salad with balsamic vinegar was fresh and tasty, and it's nice that you can choose your dressing . I really love the antipasta salad! Because the food was so damn good. Look - I'm going to start off by saying I grew up practically on The Hill. Out here, you'll have to Google it (make sure to add 'RI' to the search or you'll get some political BS), but back east, "alls you's have ta say" was those two words and anyone would know you knew your Italian, food and otherwise. There isn't anything on this coast that vaguely compares to The Hill's food, but walking into and biting out of Geraldi's was having a little piece of home. There's this little shop in the old town where the owner knew your voice when you called to order... you'd walk in, and you heard "hey cousin!" whether you were or not, and that's the vibe you get from Geraldi's. The food is much the same - you get something that looks like Nonna was at the range all day with her sauce (it's not gravy - no meat) and you came home looking like you haven't eaten in weeks: "I'm gonna fatten you up before you leave" and you walked out the door with a sub (sandwich, that is - not a submarine) that weighed the same as a newborn. We got three of those babies: a Chicago Beef (seal of approval from the orderer - only 'complaint' was that they had to eat it all in one day because the bread was quote too soggy to make it to lunch the next day - travesty), an Italian sausage (just as delicious when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and a Chicken Parmeroni (I thought somehow even better when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and I could have absolutely gone back the next day if it weren't for A. the leftovers 2/3 of us had and B. the meal planning we'd done for the week. I also grabbed a side of giardiniera because I will get it anytime I see it available and I inhaled it - I need to know if I can by it by the vat instead of the side cups because it too was similar to what I can find at home (about practically nowhere out here) and amazing!! I'm still upset I didn't take pictures though!
