On the drive home I got a rock chip on the driver side, head high. I called Lowest Price Glass. The man on the phone said yes, no problem he could repair it for $75 min. I called another business and was told to leave a message and make an appointment. I drove to the glass shop and started to talk to the gentleman about the repair. A woman came out and took over. He stepped away and she said $75 + tax ("to put resin in"). I asked about guarantee or warranty. She said "no warranty" and that it can still crack after the resin. I asked about the visual and told that it might be noticeable. In a hurry, I agreed and came back about 30 min later. The woman was right there waiting. I looked at the repair, and it was still the same chip. Looked the same (see photo after). I asked is that it? I was told "we put in resin" that's it. I was pissed! I was told to walk around the building to the front office for paperwork. I laid down $80 before the bill. I was handed 4 page bill and told to sign, I said no need just give me my copy. She said she would call the police if I didn't sign and dialed the phone. I scribbled on first page, she said sign the last page. Last page stated "resin" put into crack, crack won't disappear. I was never shown that document. I asked to talk to the owner and was told he was out of the country and refused to give me his name. No warranty, same rock chip gouge. Why would you spend any amount. I talked to other glass shops and was told that was not the correct way. Now, it's not repairable. Run, don't walk away! I question why so many "5" star reviews.

So I said wth, let me give them a call. Messaged him on Yelp. Dam got back to me quick. I said OK. So we talked and I told what I had. He gave me a price. I was like Really. Then asked asked about a few other things that the other shops said, he said he would take care of it for an additional price if need. So I said let's do it. He even came to me, was a very nice gentleman. We talked for a few mins, he explained what he was going to do and then did it! All within about an hour, give or take a few mins.
