Messaged him on Yelp. Dam got back to me quick. I said OK. So we talked and I told what I had. He gave me a price. I was like Really. Then asked asked about a few other things that the other shops said, he said he would take care of it for an additional price if need. So I said let's do it. He even came to me, was a very nice gentleman. We talked for a few mins, he explained what he was going to do and then did it! All within about an hour, give or take a few mins. The guys from United came out to fix a chip in the glass and it was late, cold and dark. They were friendly and charismatic with good conversation. The chip looked to be filled and all was well. Unfortunately the next morning the chip reappeared still in the garage without the car even moving. What a waste of money. Note: I did manage to have the chip filled by another company. They were honest and said IF the chip was previously filled, new material will not go in. I paid them anyway and as it would have it, the chip was filled and virtually disappeared and never came back. Confirming the work from United Auto Glass was sub par. I'm giving a 2 because eventually the work was complete. The guy arrived at my house and took 2 hours longer than he had claimed. When I went to pay he said his credit card machine was down and asked me to pay with a check... That was August 24,2022. It's now November 9th and I was reviewing our bank account when I realized we were low for the month. After a review I realized they cashed the check yesterday and it must have slipped my notice back in August. I called this company today to inquire about what happened. There was no apology, no embarrassment, instead he says the guy quick after our job and just came to get his last paycheck, and handed this check he forgot about. There was no call to us. While it's our job to make sure the funds are in the account to pay for the service rendered, as a small business owner myself I would have, at the very least given a call in the current economic environment to let the customer know of the misplaced check. Needless to say I won't use or refer this place again. The guys was rude, unhelpful, and not customer friendly. His answer is that safelight once cashed a check 3 years later... which I'm pretty sure isn't legal. Also, another local guy came out to fix a crack in the windshield and told us we were overcharged and he would do it for $150 less should we require the help again. My windshield was leaking across the top - especially over the driver side. The technician came to my house unprepared to remove and re-seal the windshield. Instead he used a black gunk along the top to "seal'' it. While he was making his mess he was using the storage pockets in the door as his step ladder. After he was done it looked like a five year old applied the gunk. It was obviously uneven and very messy. He also broke the pillar trim In half. On top of all this it did not fix the issue. If anything it made the leak worse. I had to take it to another repair company to have it done correctly. They were unable to remove some of the black gunk from the painted area immediately above the windshield. I called United Auto Glass to give them an opportunity to address my displeasure and got voice mail. I left a messages stating only that I wanted to discuss the work that had been done on my car. I left no details - just a message saying to please call me. They never called. So I'm now disputing the charge with my credit company and offering this negative review. read more

I wanted two recent rock chips repaired before they got any worse or spidered. He was the first person to respond back to me (very quickly) after I posted about the cracks on my windshield. He offered me a same-day and next-day appointment.
