Based on the address listed on my mobile receipt, the same people behind China Café in the university area are also behind this truck. On Wednesday's menu: buffalo wings (I found this random) crinkle french fries crab rangoons egg rolls Sesame chicken, general tso's chicken and sweet & sour chicken with white or fried rice - these were all $8 Chicken & steak lo mein and fried rice and your typical hibachi choices I went with chicken lo mein and it was ready in a little under 10 minutes. I was a little disappointed that a fortune cookie wasn't included but big whoop, I guess. The food was served in a to-go container super hot and loaded with veggies. The lo mein was on the sweeter side but I really enjoyed this meal. Reasonable portion provided at a reasonable price = win win. I'll definitely make a stop again! read more

Dragon Boat was the most popular truck at Food Truck Friday in Concord, NC during the time I was there. Surprisingly, it was the only truck offering ethnic food of the food trucks present. People seem to be more willing to experiment and try new things at these events, probably because you can always get something else if you don't like your selection! The menu was quite appetizing, featuring fried rice, lo mein, and hibachi featuring one of the following: steak, chicken, shrimp, tofu, and vegetables. Alternatively, you can order General Tso's Chicken, Sesame Chicken, or Sweet & Sour Chicken. My partner chose steak hibachi and I chose chicken fried rice with extra vegetables. Our meals took a long time to come out; the chef seemed a bit overwhelmed by the amount of people ordering from their truck. The food was well-prepared, and the portions were GIGANTIC. These two dishes fed us three dinners! The food was good--not particularly memorable, but definitely hit the spot. The steak was cooked perfectly, although the hibachi dish had little flavor. We were at Matthews Food Truck Friday and decided to give this truck a try because it had the shortest line. We were pleasantly surprised. We ordered chicken lo mein, which was really good. Lots of fresh vegetables, great noodles, and a tasty sauce. The crab rangoons were also really good and had actual crab in them. The sweet and sour chicken was good, but fried rice was bland and flavorless. The sesame chicken was decent, but again the rice wasn't worth eating. Everything had generous portion sizes and the prices weren't bad for a food truck event ($9 entrees). We would head to this truck if it is here again. Overall it was a good meal. read more

Tony Z is smoking crack. My General Tso brought suckage to a whole nother level. Woohoo, food truck Friday at Cabarrus Brewery, I tried something new without reading reviews. Bad, bad Yelp Elite me..........On a scale of 1 to 5 stars, it was -2. Pissed that I spent $9 damn dollars and it didn't come with a egg roll. General Tso is generally spicy, I ordered extra spicy. No dice. Bland ass fried chicken dish. The fried pieces were little, the size of a marble. Some of the marbles were just batter, nice job guys. Not sure what the intent is but after the top layer of marbles, the bottom layer of marble chicken was totally submerged in the so called "General Tso's" sauce. So now I had soft-gooey-soggy marble chicken. I swear it tasted like dish soap. Yummy? Puke. The fried rice is more like brown rice - as in fluffy brown rice. WTF? No egg, no veggies, pretty sure not fried. Again no flavor. Well the crab ragoons ($4) were okay, they couldn't F-up something they took from the freezer to the deep fryer. These asians boys that work it should be ashamed of themselves. Do yourself a favor and skip this sad excuse, that is not worthy of being called a food truck. read more

Glad I didn't listen to the reviews. Just had this tonight and it was decent. No it wasn't the best hibachi I've ever had, but for a quick bite it was well worth it. Great service and very clean. I had the Shrimp hibachi, and general tso's chicken. The chicken was not as flavorful as general tso's usually is, but it was still flavorful and great cuts of chicken. I love love this food!! Every time we order, the food is hot and so tasty. I want to try everything on the menu but I always go to my favorite, fried rice with steak. Now it does have a lot of onions but I love it. Our kids get excited when we order from this place. We can never eat all our food in one sitting so even heated up it's still delicious. I ordered vegetable hibachi from here on Uber Eats. I wasn't a fan of all the extra vegetables that you don't typically see in normal hibachi (snow peas and water chestnuts). It tasted more like a mediocre Chinese-style veggie stir fry with rice. The flavor profile made the shrimp sauce feel out of place. It really wasn't what I was expecting at all. Didn't look very promising, but it was the only food option at noda company store. I split the hibachi chicken ($8) with a friend. Quantity of food is high for the price, compared to other food trucks. Quality is another story. Half the plate is plain brown rice. The other half is a chicken and veggie medley, with lots of carrots, zucchini, and broccoli along with the chicken. Everything was swimming in a sweet sauce that I didn't really care for. On the side was a rather large container of yum yum sauce, essentially an aioli. I wasn't sure it was necessary, though my friend really liked it. Everything tasted a bit better because it was paired with an ice cold ipa. I cannot see myself ordering from this truck again, however. read more

I was really excited to see this food truck at our office and even though I had food, decided to get out there and try it. I ordered the General Tso's chicken. For $9 you don't get a lot of food (compared to other places I go to) but I guess the convenience is nice. The rice was a little bland. It had nothing in it. I literally saw one little onion and one crumb of egg. The sauce has a nice flavor - spice to it but the chicken is the not the best quality I have had. I might go back and try something different next time, but I think I will by-pass the General Tso. If you are craving some Hibachi and need to be quick, check it out. read more

This is my first experience with Dragon Boat and I was IMPRESSED with the ease of ORDERING (online), the CUSTOMER SERVICER (Impeccable) and the FOOD (excellent). That wasn't too great if I remember correctly... but EVERYONE in my office was eating the most delicious looking hibachi... so I thought... Ok... I'll give them another shot... HOLY WOW! They have amazing steak and shrimp hibachi! No, they actually don't combo it usually, but they will (if you ask, and for a $2 upcharge)... but it's worth it... The steak was NOT over cooked, the shrimp was perfectly cooked, they do NOT skimp on the veggies (broccoli, zucchini, mushrooms, carrots, etc... delicious) and brown rice... it's amazing... fresh, hot, yummy, and OH SO SATISFYING!! We were initially excited about a Chinese food truck, however, we were pretty let down. They had Chinese and Japanese choices, so there was something for everyone. I had the Sweet & Sour chicken, it was WAY over fried. Most of the "chicken" was breaded air. The rice is just simple brown rice, not fried rice or hibachi style rice. My husband had the steak hibachi and was also let down by how over cooked and tough it was. I ordered from here through Uber eats app. I was excited to see there was a Chinese food place available in university on the app! We had the beef and broccoli, brown rice, steamed dumplings, hot and sour soup, and egg drop soup. The beef and broccoli was a small portion and it came in a pool of oil. The brown rice was good. The steamed dumplings were very good. We did not care for the hot and sour, it lacked salt and flavor. The egg drop soup was yummy. Yelp's description of a 3-stars as "a-ok" is exactly how I feel when I eat at Dragon Boat. They come to our office park so I eat from them at least 2 times a month. I get the CHicken hibatchi minus the mushrooms due to my allergies. Its very evident that they just make a bunch of dishes and once you show up and order they give you something that's been sitting there for a good amount of time. Today they served me a Hibatchi that has 2 mushrooms in it, so they clearly went through and picked out the Mushrooms from one of the existing orders. I am SOOO happy they forgot some in there because I can have a reaction even from mushrooms touching other food, I would not have known. They made me another and it was delicious, nice and fresh unlike the first. Now that I'm writing this out its sounding more like a 2-star. read more

The outside of the Rangoon was super hard. There was no flavor. Well the only flavor was a peppery seasoning which is not good. The red sauce that came with Rangoons was very good. The fried rice was DISGUSTING. It was gummy, without flavor and all of the soy sauce in the world would not have made a difference. The egg roll was nothing special. I have had better. It smelled like I would be tasting a lot of flavor but that wasn't the case. Another tasteless item. Dragon boat is getting 2 stars because the ordering online was very easy and the red sauce for my rangoons was good but I feel like I wasted 9$ on a bunch of crap. read more

Not the worst I've ever had and definitely not the best. I got the steak hibachi and the steak was dry and tough. They really, really like pepper. Not spicy but only spice was black pepper and a lot of it. Veggies were alright, but again had ton of pepper on them. I really like how the broccoli still had some crunch to it, most places just give you limp broccoli. They do give you a lot of the shrimp sauce but it's watery and not super flavorful. The rice was salty and of course peppery. It looked like white rice cooked in chicken broth with scrambled egg added to it. It was too salty for me. The price wasn't bad, but I don't think I'll be back. read more

I advised the person taking the order of my mushroom allergy. After taking a few bites I noticed my throat immediately starting to swell.
