I had no idea a place like this existed until I was invited. As a whole it's a pretty great place. I absolutely loved all the old classic arcades and I could spend hours there lost in game play if I wasn't careful haha. The bar and games is well worth the visit. Draftcade is the perfect spot to enjoy with friends late on a Saturday or to bring the kiddos in for an afternoon out. There's something for everyone! Draftcade is very clean and the staff is welcoming and attentive. The menu offers a great variety, again something for everyone. My favorite item is the pizza, they just added this to the specials and I hope it gets a permanent spot on the main menu! I also love the sriracha quesadilla and pac man pretzel. $7 wristband to play is well priced and convenient. It's nice to be able to grab a wristband and be set for the rest of the day. Their beer selection is top notch and I love how they are always changing. All in all, this spot is a must visit! read more

We found this little gem in a nice shopping district. We planned to stop in for a quick drink and check it out but you could play unlimited games for 7 dollars a person. It was cheap and nostalgic. Came here with some friends to catch up one weekend. The man at the door was pleasant to chat with while he helped us get acquainted with the place. We all bought the $7 wristband which gives you unlimited game play, which I think is a great deal because of all of the different games they have. We ordered drinks from the bar, most of us beer, but a few of us ordered some of their game-themed cocktails (Strider Hiro, Yoshi's Kiss, and Infinite Lives). They were great! As for food, we shared the fried boursin cheese, fried mac and cheese balls, and loaded tater tots. While terrible for your body, they were all delicious appetizers! Our server was good, it was during dinner time and she was on top of things despite the rush. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends, and bring my kids here before the 21+ hours begin. read more

I thought I just had a bad luck of the draw on my last visit. It's gotten worse. I was at the bar tonight having a drink and the bartender slammed a glass on the surface trying to Smash something. He thought he had missed it because of the dark but counter but I spotted a roach he killed. I looked at the back of the receipt printer and saw about six roaches crawling out of that machine as if they had made a home in there. I turned it around for them to see it and they put the machine away. Anytime you have a roach infestation there a are some serious sanitary issues going on here. I didn't finish my beer. I just closed my tab and left. I don't know how much low this place will get but it will be my last visit here ever. It's sad they have a great concept but lack execution. read more

Bartender barely looked at me. I ordered my drink paid and left and was charged 3 extra dollars on top of my order. 3 dollars is too much for a 6 dollar drink. And I did not write a tip on the receipt. Was going to leave cash but was sort of neglected because the bartender was too busy with the group of drunk idiots at the bar. This wasn't my first trip here but it will be my last. When I first went here they charged a $6 entry and then extra for pinball which I found to be ridiculous.! I went back recently to find that it is changed to $7 unlimited for all games which I found appealing.... BUT BUT BUT not so fast I made a huge mistake my friends.... I (gasp) ordered a beer And that where it all went wrong for me. They have a large array of draft beers but not a single "old school" domestic beer such as Coors Light or Bud Light. I guess this place is too Hipster to do so But when I asked for a Bud Light bottle I guess I somehow offended the Grundy big beard bartender. He begrudgingly brought it to me and presented me with a $5 bill for a single bud light. Wow wow wow. I have never paid more than $3 or $3.50 for a bud light bottle in the entire state of Missouri. It seems like the owners get offended to have to appeal to old school tastes that ironically an old school arcade might want! So they overcharge for the old stuff. Pathetic and poorly reasoned on every level: business sense, common sense, pure rationality. Lastly, my $7 wasn't really worth it. They have a nice array of games but what amazed me was how many weren't in proper working order. They only have 7 pinball machines and 3 of them I used (and I didn't use all of them) were either having mechanical issues and would not work or they weren't even operable because they didn't have any credits on them to play! Isn't that why we paid $7 per head to you? This place is a joke and there are much better options in Crossroads or other parts of KC. Stay away from this ridiculous excuse for a business enterprise. read more

Good drinks, much more roomier than UpDown (which has more stuff to do but is VERY claustrophobic even on slower nights). Some of the games aren't upkept very well, especially when it comes to pinball games. Seems like anytime I go at least half of the pinball games (if not more) are stuck in some sort of disrepair. I know a ton of other places will charge for pinball to keep from someone paying, walking off, and letting the circuits fry out. I'd pay 25 cents a game or a token if it meant a better chance at most of these games being playable (and not dealing with the inevitability that crowds form around the machines that DO work). Either try the 25 cents charge or be more consistent with the upkeep/repair (to be fair, I acknowledge that knowing how a pinball machine functions is a bit of a lost art anymore). I hate to make the review sound so negative because I do like the place; nice variety of 80s and 90s games, drinks are good (I'm a sucker for a good Bloody Mary, and the Bowser here is top-tier), a few rare games in there too. Just a suggestion for the pinball machines. read more

Great place! The atmosphere and games are great, all very well maintained! We enjoyed the classic game selection and even found 1 or 2 we weren't familiar with, which is always cool. The drinks were very tasty as well. The only downside is the staff. They were slightly understaffed (obviously) and the bartenders they had weren't great as far as speed or personality. But I still give five stars due to the machines and the overall of the place being well worth it! read more

OG wings and OG games. Loved it here! Brought my kids and we played old school arcades for a hour or two. They have sooo many games. Really enjoyed Rampage, Pac-Man Jr., NFL Blitz, Jungle King and many more! Burger Time joystick down didn't work well. Staff was fantastic. Food was delicious. The $7 unlimited game play is a great price and my boys love when we surprise them with a day at Draftcade. We love the food, too. We've tried several different things and enjoy them all. this place has potential but the food!!!! ordered a beer and some wings.They didn't have my usual Coors or BUD light so I tried a different brew. NOT BAD! ordered the wings....they were disgusting, They were burnt black and had no flavor. I have never in my life tasted wings this bad even wings I have over cooked and burnt to a crisp. The only thing preventing this from being a five star review is that some of the games were in questionable condition. I would know, I spent many hours of my youth dropping money into them. The menu is outstanding and the booze was varied and made strong. This place is equally good for a night out with friends as it is for a date. Went there yesterday to kill the afternoon. We had as much fun this time as we have had when the place first opened. They have a great rotating beer selection and some new games (to me) as well.
