Maybe the problem is that I just did not get it. Was I trying to solve a crime? Was I supposed to just be looking for little nuggets of information or clues? Idk. The rooms, lights, and art installations were really neat to look at, and I attempted to interact at the spots where you could scan your wristband and make phone calls, play computer games, or affect the lighting, but even the little cards that were available to read at every station didn't give me any additional insight into what I was doing. Instead of only having cards available to read, if they had an app available for the phone and had audio available to listen to explaining each of the stations, that could be super cool! I didn't love all the other people (it felt busy and a little crowded in many of the rooms) and it could feel much more immersive and less annoying to have noise cancelling headphones or earbuds in and then you could have some different types of audio effects playing too based on which room you're in. It cost about $90 for two adults to walk through the space and I understand the cost as they put a lot into the space and their performances, but it is not something I'd pay again. If you are tight on cash, I'd recommend passing on this unless you have a kid that really loves visual entertainment and you want to give them a chance to be immersed in it. The rooms with all the mirrors were my fave!

Atlas 9 is an incredible one-of-a-kind experience. Perfect for fun, art, puzzle solving, and exploring. I got an annual membership so I can visit as often as I want, and it is well worth it

We had an amazing time at the Matrix showing! Every staff member was kind and fun, the production quality was spectacular, and the screen room itself was insane. One of the best movie experiences of my life!

We watched this place get built every time we had to drive out to the baseball fields in Wyandotte County, so we were naturally curious as to what it was going to be. I don't even know how to describe it, but it was interesting! We went with another couple, had the pizza, which was Fine, but overpriced, just like the drinks. Not bad, just expensive. The experience itself, as others have mentioned, was a little confusing. It took us a while to figure out what we were supposed to be doing (and we're still not sure if we really figured it out). There were rooms that you thought might be puzzles, but in the end, we were either too dumb to figure it out or it wasn't actually a puzzle, it was just a place to scan your wristband. Then there are rooms that require you to do things, or move things, and it does end up being something to be discovered. Then there's the live performances, which were fun. In the end, it's a cool building with a lot of different places to explore. It's a fun evening out with another couple. I wouldn't feel the need to go back, especially for the price tag, but I'd say it was fun to do once!

Atlas9 is a Blast from the Past experience. If you want ro enjoy some unique fun from the 90's plan a trip and head to the newest fun place around. I took my whole family with kids ages from 2years old to 7years old. They all loved it. You need to make sure you scan your face at rhe scanner so you can participate in the events. We stayed over 2 hours and still didn't finish all the activities. Next time I visit it will be with just my Husband and we will enjoy time at the secret bar inside the event.

What a fun experience! We were a group of 8 co-workers who came to bond and let off steam. It was sensory overload in a good way. Had a great time. We didn't figure out the mystery but maybe we'll focus on that the next trip.

A new KC staple! So creative, fun, nostalgic and interactive. Great place to bring friends and explore. The staff and live performers are top tier and add to the fun. Plan to come and stay a while to enjoy all the details. Start with pizza and pool at Splice Bros and then wrap up with movie theater snacks or drinks in the vibey Speakereasy bar upstairs. Our kids had a blast, too.

Nothing you've ever experienced and definitely hard to explain. Two suggestions: 1. Look at it through the lens of an 80/90s nostalgic immersive art experience with everything else as a bonus and you'll have a blast! 2. I didn't take the storyline or trying to solve everything too seriously. It's kind of confusing. But help each other out to hit up all the scanners... be sure to visit the whole space!

Not sure how I feel about this place being our first time visiting. I'll start off with the positives by saying this place is COOL! So many places to take pics and there's something new and random around the corner to look at and analyze. However, on the flip side I didn't really understand the whole "mission" of the whole thing. I listened to the whole orientation to try to be informed the best I could've been and it still wasn't quite clear what we were supposed to be doing. We kinda just walked around, took pics, and scanned our wrist bands. Honestly for almost 100$ for 2 people we could've walked around down town KC and got cool pics for free, but maybe that's just me. The staff were kind, the actors were great, the atmosphere was amazing, but just not sure exactly what you're supposed to do there.

I'm still trying to find the words, my brain keeps reaching for the familiar. It's like the Ready player one and a jazz club, and an escape room and Cirque du Soliel and mission impossible but throw in some Spy kids. It's interactive and if I got stuck an agent ( shout out to Agent C and the other one with long cool 80's rock hair )was there to get me back on track. It was so wildly fun and obviously I've got to come back as I didn't get to finish my assignments *eye spasm*. Got pretty close, closing out most of my assignments with 98 fazrs! It took a hot minute to get a feel for it but once I did, oh it was ON! Pizza and fun drinks were great, Mylea at Splice bros was a perfect start before I was "recruited". Really nice and insightful helping me start to form a more informed idea of what I was waking into. Which really helped me relax into the experience and enjoy it. For first timers I really think staff/agents can make or break the experience. From the Jazz club to the theater performers, concessions and agents they all understood the assignment. They were excited and it was catching. Nice big parking lot. If you're in the legends area and looking for something fun to do, but honestly with it being so close to Kansas City it's worth a visit. If your easily over stimulated might sit this one out but it's an experience that Will not be forgotten!

I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS PLACE IS IN KANSAS! What a mind blowing experience! There is literally something for people of all ages here and you choose your own adventure! Want to geek out on retro video games? No problem! Feel like drinking in the speak easy or the pizza place? Totally fine! Carry those drinks with you? They're cool with that! The music, the performers, the sets, the secret passageways, the movie posters featuring YOU....I am in AWE! I keep telling people to trust me. It's so hard to explain what Atlas 9 is, but once you go, you will get it! Make sure you ask questions of the staff! They will tell you how to follow clues and when show times are! The secrets are so helpful! Tell your friends and family. This place is incredible! The only thing I wish is that the pizza was better and the games/tasks etc were better explained because unless you ask..you don't really know. So. ASK! Also, the movie poster print out in the gift shop is honestly worth the price of admission. Brilliant!

I'd been eager to check Atlas 9 out for a couple months. From its Instagram posts, it reminded me of the WNDR Museum in Chicago (one of my favorite things from my trip there last year). This is, however, a totally different type of experience; very immersive and interactive, and often quirky. There's a lot here to enjoy for cinephiles and it was cool to see how tapped in Atlas 9 is with the local film community. I thought the fake movie posters were awesome. I didn't expect to leave with a fake movie poster of myself--so that's fun--and when I turned a corner to see "Fuzz the Raccoon" hanging on the wall and swinging a sword, I had to snap a photo. It's a very imaginative place with things to enjoy for everyone. I didn't get to check out the speakeasy. That'll be for the return trip.

Pay actual artists and make good food maybe also pay your employees better while you're at it. Not worth 40 bucks. Ever.

It was the kind of loud that got you off your feet and cheering though. The whole place was lively. Bathrooms were very clean and the stadium was huge! Loved that they had games like corn-hole and they even had a cool status to pose with! Only downside is how expensive food and drinks are.

It's like a big party with cars and merch. They also have other things to do like pickleball if you have time to play, watch toys race, check out other cars/trucks in the fan area. We went during a rain, so best believe everyone is trying to stay dry. They also have truck to blow dry their own track so it can be safe for everyone. The Garage tour was so fun and a must do. It's great for first timers like myself. We got to tour the garage area where you get to see all the cars that are racing. You get to see the pit crew do their job and make sure it's good. Also, got a chance to meet a real live racer Alex Bowman, it was surreal. He even autograph some items for us. So cool. This race, I saw a bunch of cars crashing and it was amazing. I'm a fan now.
