Flank steak with black current ketchup

We wandered by after visiting Les Halles and happily they were able to fit us in for lunch. If you plan on eating here definitely make reservations. My husband had the poached egg starter and I had the terrine. For the main I had the flank steak and my husband had the Pot de boeuff. The website does not reflect the current lunch menu, so I am not using the proper names of the dishes. Service was excellent, food was excellent, wine was excellent. The only confusion I had is the wine was sold by the glass or carafe (60 ml) so they opened a bottle at the table and poured it into a carafe, leaving the other 15 ml in the bottle-why not just sell the bottle?

    Escargot

One of the best meals I've had in France ever. The escargot was my favorite and I only tried them because they were a local favorite. Everything we ordered was delicious, the patio in the back was so pretty and lovely and the people as well. Choose this restaurant in Dijon if you get the chance!

Wonderful wine and dining experience in the heart of Dijon. Simple affordable fair presented elegantly by a friendly and informative staff. We started with the sampler of meats and cheeses and special of the day. Next a mini burger and beef bourguignon. Finishing it off with an excellent desert. Staff is more than capable and happy to provide reccomendation a in excellent wines. Lovely experience in the heart of Dijon.

Happening upon this wine bar/store/restaurant let me enjoy perhaps the best lunch - with wine - of…read moremy life. You read that correctly... Of course things weren't fancy or sublime or perfect in the guidebook-way of rating. But the whole experience added up to an extremely memorable afternoon spent in this lovely establishment. I'm a huge wino, and the uptight regulations in the US have made me giddy for wine shops where you can buy a bottle and drink it right there with some snacks, or in this case, some delicious food. When I was there it was very quiet and relaxed, I might have been the only guest dining at the time. I splurged on some stupendous white Burgundies, and had some delicious baguette with a warm goat cheese salad (actually three or four different kinds of goat cheese, toasted on bread), and some roasted chicken in a mushroom sauce, chicken that was moist, tender, and delicious, not overcooked in the slightest. I would recommend this small and unassuming place to any friend visiting Dijon. I'll be back!

Our tour guide recommended this as one of the places where we could get traditional Burgundian cuisine- we got to try foods we had never had before, which is always fun. Our waiter spoke very good English, which helped us out a lot, and he was always able to explain things on the menu that we didn't understand. At this place, they CAN get you wine by the glass, but it's more typical to select a full bottle yourself for your table. Very cool setting, excellent food, and great service! Check it out.
