Unfortunately I've needed a second surgery, a resection of my tricep muscle that was getting in the way of the new ulnar nerve pathway. Both surgeries, Dr. Tsai was very professional, knowledgeable, and has the combined bedside manner of every surgeon of I've seen in the last year and a half (SIX ). I trust Dr. Tsai, this last surgery seems to have done the trick. Thank you for not giving up on me!!

The receptionist has been consistently rude and difficult to deal with, lacking basic courtesy and professionalism. The staff had changed my boyfriend's appointment time without any notice or phone call, and the only indication we received was a text message a day or so before the appointment. We caught the time change and called the office, and the receptionist was dismissive and reluctant to change our appointment time back to the original time we had scheduled. When she did change it, she promptly hung up without giving us any time to ask any follow up questions.

Because of a knee that needs to be replaced & because of 2 back surgeries that I urgently need, I could not reach that goal, even though I lost the weight they wanted me to and I had reached all of their other goals. I feel like I wasted 1 year in this program. He only met with me at the beginning and I could tell he didn't like me or think I was serious about the program (which I was). After 1 year in the program he wouldn't even meet with me to tell me himself that he wasn't going to do my surgery. Instead he had one of his Dieticians, Amy Emch - another medical expert with a horrible bedside manner - relay to me that he wouldn't be doing my much-needed surgery. Beware of that Dietician. Many people have quit the program because of her. Beware of their psychologist, Dr. Ng, too. She was of no help. My regular family physician referred me to another Bariatric program that doesn't have those impossible walking requirements!

I have 20 years as a registered, Oregon licensed health care professional working the floor…read more I unfortunately suffered a 12 foot fall fracturing at least 12 bones. Following 3 days at Good Sam hospital I was transferred to Corvallis Manor. Upon my arrival full of laxatives and pain medication I was placed on my left side on what we call in the business a Short Stay Bed. It moves and adjusts like hospital bed but has a conventional mattress on it. It was broken down. I vaguely remember a couple of faces saying that they were going to take good care of me. I was abandoned for four hours. No one paid attention to my call light or cries for help despite tending to the patient in the other bed in my room. My pain drugs had worn off. The Short Stay Bed was a torture rack for some one with spine and rib fractures on their back 23 hours a day for at least five days. The so called CNA's were out of their depth on how to handle me. I had to teach them myself. I was not on a pain drug control schedule like in a hospital. You have figure out your own schedule and ask for them. I waited sometimes over an hour for the Med Aide to deliver. I was there two very long weeks . I finally forced them the replace the broken down conventional mattress with an air mattress. This helped quite a bit. The staff is ill trained and as a patient one has to fiercely advocate for one's self. I got one shower and had to give myself a wipe downs with packaged bath cloths. The food is atrocious, the patient care staff has no compassion or empathy . This a horrible place for a trauma patient.

Dr. Fox is one of the best doctors I have ever had. She never pushed hormonal birth control on me…read morebecause I suffer side effects and was on a lot of meds already. She never pushed me to get unnecessary STD testing because she believed me when I said I used condoms and was in a long-term monogamous relationship instead of treating me like I was promiscuous or insisting my partner was a cheater like other clinics have done. She had no reason to think otherwise. When I was going through tough times, she could tell and listened as sympathetically as my therapist, just not for the same amount of time, nor did I expect her to. It doesn't cost anything to be empathetic, though! When I finally decided at 29 to get my tubes done, she agreed without argument and made sure I understood it was permanent. She did the surgery herself. Best doctor ever!
