I went to see Dr. Becker after suffering from tailbone and sacral pain for 4 months! By then I had seen my Physician, Physical Therapist and another chiropractor but with no improvement. Dr. Becker adjusted my tailbone and after the first adjustment, my tailbone issue for gone. Dr. Becker is probably the only one in the greater LA area who adjusts the tailbone. He made my husband and myself feel very comfortable and explained the procedure in detail. Dr. Becker is amazing!! Today was my first adjustment with him. His office is easy to find, clean and modern. His table equipment is new and advanced compared to a few others I have seen. As an outside party, I witnessed his superb communication skills in listening to the patient and walking through the steps of treatment as well as his calm approach which put the patient at ease. It has been many months since I last saw Dr. Becker, I wanted to wait to write this review until I could fully assess the outcome of my treatment for coccydinia. It is safe to say, I'm finally healed! While I may always need to be more aware of my coccyx, the pain is completely gone & I have fully resumed normal activity in comfort. After a year of pain & trying everything: waiting, pain management, acupuncture, another chiropractor, standing desks, yoga / stretching etc., I was desperately trying to find another solution - luckily my Internet searches eventually led me to Dr. Becker. I saw him twice, and while the benefits of his adjustments weren't instant, following his advice, I sit here now comfortably in a semi-reclined position - something I wasn't able to do for a year. Dr. Becker combines what my physical therapist was doing with what my other chiropractor was doing & together they work! He was accommodating - he gave me weekend appointments so I could avoid painfully sitting in traffic, had no issue with someone coming with me to my appointment, and told me after my second session that no more would be needed. Dr. Becker is incredible! I slipped, fell, and landed right on my tailbone. I live in DC and after xrays and seeing several doctors (chiropractors and orthopedists) none of them could help me locally. The solutions I received were in the range of "just let it heal on it's own, we don't adjust tailbones here, to we will need to do surgery and have your coccyx bone removed." Well, I was not about the surgery so I did a thorough internet search. I came across an article written by Dr. Becker and so I called him. He was patient, kind, understanding, and most of all knowledgeable. My options were limited and so I booked a trip to Beverly Hills to see him and I'm so grateful I did. He was able to see me 3x in my visit and he was able to adjust it. As a 20-something coming in for what's usually an older person problem, I was really nervous about not being believed or being patronized like a lot of doctors do to young women in pain. Not Dr Becker. Not only was he INCREDIBLY nice and friendly, he made me feel super taken care of. He was realistic about my situation but wasn't preachy - just genuinely seemed to care about me and my pain. Chiropractic work can be...touchy. The one thing that differentiates Dr Becker from others is that he really cares. My mom has severe 40 degree scoliosis in lower back and sciatic pain. In the first (free) consultation session, he took the time to get to know her condition and asked detailed questions. I started bringing my mom to weekly treatments for about a month now. We notice one slight improvement. She felt stiffness in her spine and had difficulty getting up from sleep position, and the feeling of something stinging in her lower spine. This stinging feeling is now not as pronounced as before. This is a marked improvement that we think can be attributed to Dr Becker's therapy. Dr. B is amazing!!! He has such a caring demeanor and really makes his patients understand what is going on with their body. I think that's important aside from treating patients, making the patients aware so if there is something wrong, you try to resolve it immediately instead of waiting for the pain to magically disappear.
