I hate going to the eye doctor…read more.. BUT Dr. Batista is the absolute best ophthalmologist I have ever seen. I've gone to many a Vision Works or For Eyes to get my eyeglass prescription. They always get it wrong. Dr. Batista got my right prescription and I'm doing better than ever. The practice is small, but always booked. That is why some people are complaining about the appointments. But his patients know how good he is and that's why they deal with the wait time. However, the appointments, go very quickly. I arrived for a full eye check up and eyeglass prescription update and the whole affair only took an hour. That is unseen in this kind of practice where Drs sometimes take 3-4 hours to do this procedure. This is not an emergency eye issue doctor, for that go to Bascom Palmer. This is a regular eye check and chronic issue doctor, and he is great. The staff is kind. The facility is clean. The technology is top of the line. The doctor is patient, and understanding especially with people who do not like seeing the eye doctor. (Like me.) I highly recommend him. He's the only eye doctor that my primary doctor goes to, and that says something! Don't pay attention to the ppl complaining about the appointments, just be timely on your schedule, and make sure you schedule your regular appointments. He's worth scheduling the appointment 2 months in advance.

I didn't want to give a low rating just based on the nightmare that is the scheduling, parking & waiting room area because if you need a great eye doctor & the most thorough exam ever, this place is great. The Good: Dr. Rojas and Dr. Newman explain all the test results in detail and track your progress with the treatments meticulously. The techs are wonderful and kind. They have machines at this location & their other locations that I haven't seen anywhere else. My mom is having treatments done & will likely need surgery soon. We are confident that she is getting excellent care with this team. The Bad: They don't know how & don't care to learn how to schedule patients correctly which results in a standing room ONLY waiting room. There is nowhere near this location that you can leave & go sit at (no coffee shops/restaurants). If you get dropped off here, you are screwed. So, if you can't stand for hours, please don't get dropped off here. I felt sorry for the elderly people in this situation. I know they are aware of the problem which is why I stated that they don't care to learn how to schedule properly. Front desk has no consideration for the patients' time/health issues because the receptionist's job is to schedule & have the courtesy to let patients know if they're running a couple of hours late. They don't care that some people's health issues neither allow them to miss lunch or stand for hours. I hope the doctors see my review.
