We had a roof that was installed by Home Depot contractors 10 years ago and has been leaking excessively inside our house. We talked to different local roofing companies to resolve this and most of them seemed to just offer a simple patch without really knowing what was causing the leak. Dr. Roof was honest up front about the extent of the damage so we went with a full reroof on the front side of our house. You never know what is underneath until you rip it off. The damage was much more extensive then the other companies were claiming and if we did not go with Dr. Roof's suggestion, we would have still had an issue but just threw $1000's down the drain. So, their assessment was spot on with the issue. Now, the work. Their team was so professional and great to work with. I highly recommend them! They showed up on time, did the work and cleaned up afterwards. They also provided a lot of great photos of the damage to aid us with our insurance claim. We had some issues at the end of the project and they came out and resolved everything to exceed my expectations. It's hard to trust companies nowadays but our experience with Dr. Roof sets a standard for how I hope other home repair shops will meet. I recommend them to my friends. read more

OMG, do not hire Dr. Roof. Yes they are everywhere and you see their trucks all over- but damn if they send out the most inept people to measure, and write-up bids that make no sense. Then there's no follow up. So you go by in person and no one calls you back. The first inept guy calls you back. Then after almost a year, a new sales guy is hired and he tries to make amends by giving you a new estimate. Nope. The first impression is always the one that last forever. Talk to others, neighbors and chat with people at the post office- there's a lot of unhappy customers around who will tell you "Dr. Roof is really expensive". Me, I will not hire them. First impressions and customer's stories are plenty for me. read more

Paid for a new roof.....roof not even a year old....now it's leaking and growing mold. Will they come and fix it.....it's been months....there has been no call back or answer. We've been calling about every week or so. People are now getting sick!! They are putting lives at risk!! This company is a lawsuit waiting to happen.... read more

We hired Dr Roof for a second large project at the family beach house this year. Roof, gutters, and the inevitable change orders that come with a project like that once it gets under way. Job was completed expeditiously but the administration of our project could've been better and the accounting services were atrocious. We received a cumulative invoice and were told it was the "final" bill. Then a few WEEKS later we received another "final" bill and the cumulative charges presented differently. It took many calls, most of which were not returned, and multiple emails to finally reach someone presumably in management. The explanation? A member of their accounting team didn't realize that she didn't fully invoice us when she sent the first "final" invoice and she made a mistake when she confirmed for us that it included the gutter work. Their "honest" mistake is the sort of mistake that other businesses would use as a training opportunity with that accountant and extend consideration to the client for their mess up. Dr. Roof apologized for the confusion and frustration, to our 92 year old mother whose project this was, but extended zero consideration towards those of us supporting our mother whose time is valuable as well. We will not be using Dr Roof for further projects based on this experience. read more

They told me i needed a new roof. They didn't know my roof was only 3 years old. Another contractor told me to just clean off the moss, and needles around the skylights. That stopped the leak. Now i just put powdered bleach on each year. it has been a few years since Dr. Roof told me i needed a whole new roof. Good think i didn't listen to them and waste my money for nothing. Would recommend you keep shopping. There is others out there that are honest. read more

Recently finished a sizable residential reroof and gutter project with Dr. Roof. Price was reasonable and as expected, change orders were anticipated. The roof needed all new plywood sheathing. McKenzie the PM was great with updates and general communication which was nice because this is our vacation home and are often in California. On-site crew was friendly and professional and performed all tasks from tear off to installation. No issues even during some unanticipated inclement weather. Dr. Roof does other things besides roofing and I will not hesitate to at least get a bid from them. read more

Dr Roof committed to repairs to my beach house over 2 months ago. Initially they said they had found issues with another house and needed to begin my work 2 weeks later. That time past and during my next call to them I was given a start date later that same week. Well no work has begun on my house yet and no subsequent calls have come from Dr Roof. This is not a positive review. I will not use Dr Roof and certainly will not recommend them to anyone. I hope their owners read these reports. read more

Don't bother calling this company because they will initially take your call and sound interested in your business and yet then will email you back refusing to even schedule time to do a bid for future work because they claim that customer service is their priority. Ironically McKenzie bragged that they don't want to overcome it and under-deliver even though that's exactly what they just did to us. We asked if we could send them a copy of our home inspection report and just have them come out to take a look to do an estimate for work that we said would have them do when time comes up on their schedule, and while they sounded just fine with doing that, they responded saying they were not interested and doing that because they supposedly care about customers. HAHAHA.... What a JOKE. read more

Where do I begin? The owner of this company Glenn Trusty has absolutely has no morals and doesn't care about his employees let alone his customers. I couldn't imagine what his many unsatisfied customers experience. I was an employee of his for over a year and if I could go back I would work for one of many other more reputable companies. After losing both my mother and father within a couple weeks I went to work for his scam of a company while I settled everything with the estate. After about a year and a half my wife and I decided to divorce and go our separate ways. I informed Mr Trusty of my intentions of moving back to my home town and gave him over 60 days notice of my departure from the company. I had sold many jobs over this time and was promised to be paid for these jobs once the COVID lockdown was done and the jobs could be completed. Well once the lockdown was lifted and I had moved back to my hometown to be around much needed support from friends and family during these tough times, I reach out to this "honorable" man about my multiple jobs that had been completed and was completely ignored my him after repeated attempts. He was not even man enough to respond to my request to get paid for the jobs I had sold for his "legitimate" company. I have worked for quite a few home improvement companies and throughout my 17 years in this industry and Dr Roof is the only company that has ever been scandelous. He absolutely has no morals as a man and feel horrible for the countless past customers of his I ran into along the coast that said they were burned by him and would recommend chuck in a truck anytime before ever sending this company any business. I will 100% do the same as this guy is a con artist. For your sake stay away! There are multiple other contractors in the area that will take much better care of you and will be accountable and honest. read more

Dr roof replaced my metal roof 1 year ago and gave me a 10 year warranty on defects in material an workmanship. I have two places the roodf leaked and they agreed to send someone to fix them. last week I received a call from Joe , of dr roof , said he would be out in 2 jours to fix the leaks. 3 hours later, no Joe. I called him and he said he was tied up on another job, but would be here in half an hour. an hour later called him, left a message to hold off on the job until next day, as I was eating dinner. Joe called back and said he would have to come out 4 days later as he was off the net 3 days. well today is day four and haven't received a call. and it is going to rain tomorrow. Dr roof doesn't not honor there warranty, which means they don't honor their contract. I would recommend no one uses dr roof, as they are not trustworthy, they be looking for the money and then they be gone. read more

Hired Dr. Roof to fix a leak, install windows and replace some rotted siding. Hired them in June 2015. Despite calls to get the roof repair completed , the work didn't get done until April 2016 due to them over booking themselves. The leak was over my tub, thank God, but my ceiling collapsed due to the continous rain. When I called to tell them my ceiling collapsed and ask about when they were planning on getting the job started, they came out to tarp the roof. This did not stop the leaks. Long story short, ten months later they started work. Their workers were great- and now the job is done, but waiting for this and the damage the leak made in the meantime, was upsetting. I will not be hiring this company ever again. I will not be shy about sharing my experience. The way they manage their projects suck. Had I known they were back logged I would have gone with another company that would've been able to start and complete the job sooner. read more
