He listens to me and sees me as a person instead of just a list of symptoms to be medicated away. Amy Kline provides an outstanding compliment to Dr. Vas. If you could describe someone as loving and professional, that would be Amy Kline. I've been going to this practice for about three years now, and I feel lucky to have found it. Also, the administration/office issues have been resolved for a long time.

I want to start by saying that my experience with my provider, Susie, was excellent. She was…read morepatient, informative, and very helpful in assisting me with what I needed. My concerns are with the administrative and billing side of the practice. When I initially became a client of WCP, I initially received needed testing. Later, I needed documentation completed and was informed that I would need to schedule a meeting with my provider to complete the required form. Upon entering that appointment, I was informed about a newer, more updated assessment that the office now uses. I was highly encouraged and offered the option to take that additional test at a discounted rate, since I had already completed the prior version. I agreed and completed the assessment that day and paid the amount, which meant the original purpose of the appointment (completing the form) was not addressed. The following day, I had a second appointment to complete the form via telehealth, during which we went through it together and I answered the necessary questions. After the form was ready for pickup, I was informed of additional charges for both visits, each, that had not been communicated beforehand. While I understand the charge for the appointment where the form was completed, I was surprised by the additional charge for the first visit, where the only activity was being offered and completing another assessment. When I sought clarification, the interaction became unprofessional and dismissive, which was disappointing. Julie then got extremely unprofessional with me in a heated back and forth discussion and asked me "Aren't you about to become an attorney?" Very Unprofessional. Since I am CURRENTLY a lawyer, I will be fighting against this charge. Julie, you need to do better as a professional and as a person. Overall, my concern is with the lack of transparency around billing and the professionalism in handling the discussion around it. I hope the office can improve clarity and communication going forward.

To have a Psychology Today profile that indicates a psychotherapy practice provides a brief consultation and then to explicitly not offer this is an ethical breach; it is also a sign of bad faith. For potential clients, it is also a big red flag. It benefits both clients and therapy providers when initial consultation appointments are done to see if there is a 'fit' with the therapist and client. ---- The following is a direct quote from Psychology Today's website for the Etheridge Psychology practice (see https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists/roy-etheridge-cary-nc/127248). "Call or email [the practice] now for a free 15 minute consultation." I emailed this practice through Psychology Today's website. The administrative assistant called me back to get additional information. She told me there was a therapist in the practice that "might be willing to see me" and would I like her to send the information to the therapist "to see if she was interested". I said sure, and asked how I would hear back about setting up the consultation appointment. The admin told me, "We don't do consultation appointments." ---- If this is how the practice does business, then it is choosing to 'self-select out' as a potential provider. Providers should not indicate an intake practice on their website that they don't offer. This is deceptive and shows an indifference on the part of the practice towards clients; and it wastes the time of potential clients.

I saw the one-star review here and had to do a double-take to make sure I hadn't written it. My ex-husband and I saw Dr. Sara twice a number of years ago. Like the other reviewer, our experience has haunted me and it's important for others to know. She was extremely unprofessional and inappropriate in our second (also our last) session, ultimately yelling loudly at me and yelling an expletive: "you hate his f*cking guts!" We were in the middle of a very painful situation - trying to decide if we were staying together or getting divorced. Needless to say, we were shocked. Dr. Sara was not only unhelpful, her behavior made the situation more hurtful, more confusing, and made it seem truly hopeless. If this was the type of couples/sex therapy that existed, we were screwed. My recommendation: stay away. Find another sex or couples therapist, even if it means meeting with someone virtually in another town or state. I hope this is helpful.

Her strength lies in her ability to listen attentively, and then help you develop the tools you need to resolve conflict and challenges that arise outside the counselling session. She is highly intuitive and does a wonderful job at articulating the importance of perspective, and the control we have over choosing how we want to proceed in life. There's so much paperwork even compared to other local offices of a similar size, it was difficult to schedule an appointment because I sent an email, got an auto-response saying I had to call, got sent to voicemail after the phone rang for like 5 minutes, which told me I could make an appointment on their website, filled that out, then played phone tag for the rest of the day. Every single one of their systems is complicated and opaque. They told me that they would be in network for my insurance and then they sent me an email *during my initial session* that they weren't, so now I'm out $130 for 50 minutes of talking with somebody about what we would, in theory, talk about in future therapy sessions that I won't be able to pay for. And to top it all off, when I made the appointment I had asked them to make one of the free 15-minute consults, and I'm still not sure how that got lost in translation. Just wait a few months and they'll run off whatever therapist you're hoping to work with, too, and you can see them in a practice with better admin.
