The previous provider as for lack of another term 'a total mess, involving unfounded cookie-cutter treatment extremes'. I arrived with hope for a better experience and I found just that. His demeanor and expertise were comforting and I felt I finally found the care I expected. I value the ability to work with my providers as a partner, and especially so when that partnership is reciprocal. Exceptional medical care requires designing treatment for each patient. I feel I am in the best of hands. Dr Janardhanan is very appreciated partner and am happy to be in his care.

As soon as I arrived, she let me know that the doctor may be running about 15-20 minutes behind. However that did not happen. There was a very rude older man checking in after me and the other woman at the desk handled that interaction with as much patience and calmness as a person in that situation could offer. We asked about him at TMC; the nurses raved about him. Very positive. And our primary doc' says he is highly regarded in the medical community. Since my appointment took place on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, insurance companies were closed, and unfortunately, Marshall Cardiology did not verify my insurance ahead of time--something I consider a basic step for any medical office. At the time of service, I was charged $247, which I found unusual given that I had already met my deductible for the year. More recently, I received a call from Marshall Cardiology stating that my insurance ID was invalid ahead of my next appointment. I contacted my insurance provider to clarify, and they confirmed no one from Marshall Cardiology had reached out to verify my insurance coverage. While on the call, I also asked the insurance company to investigate the $247 charge. After verifying my coverage, the insurance company stated that I should not have been charged. We initiated a three-way call with Marshall Cardiology's billing department, where it was confirmed that a credit of $247 was on my account. However, I was informed that I would need to request a refund myself. I find it concerning that the clinic held onto this credit for nearly six months without notifying me. This experience raises awareness for others: if you've been a patient at Marshall Cardiology, you may have a credit on your account that you are unaware of. While $247 may not seem significant to some, it can be a meaningful amount for Medicare or Medicaid patients with limited income. Transparency and proactive communication from a healthcare provider are essential, especially when it involves patient finances. I hope Marshall Cardiology considers improving their billing processes and patient communication.

I was warned that Dr. Peress does not keep his appointments on time and may not have the best bedside manner, but that he is good at what he does, electrocardiology. My appointment was for 8:30 am and he took me on time. He walked in, introduced himself, looked me in the eye when he spoke with me and was very professional. I have nothing but the highest regard for him. He took a few minutes to review my EKG's, ask questions, and determine my diagnosis. I have been having tachycardia attacks for over 25 years and never has a cardiologist been so exact in his analysis. He knew what I had and why I experience my heart symptoms. He drew a picture and explained in detail how my heart was operating. We discussed my options. They ranged from ablation to beta blockers to nothing at all. We agreed on what was best for me in my situation. I now had the information I needed to make an informed decision which was to try a beta blocker when I have an episode. I know that if I choose in the future to have ablation, that I now have a cardiologist whom I trust to do the procedure and do it right! When you go to a specialist, you should not choose the person by his office staff, or how friendly he or she is, or whether they see you on time. You should select the most knowledgeable, most proficient, the one you are confident knows what he is doing and can perform the procedure correctly. If you choose Dr. Peress, you will be in the hands of someone you can trust.

She carefully listened to my wife and even had a brief positive, friendly conversation with me. Definitely not the same experience I had back in 2019. The medical system here in Tucson, appears to be overloaded. In retrospect, I would give Dr. Bastes another try. Since my 2019 visit she has changed offices, and her current office #215, has individuals that treat the patients in a nice manner. Her previous office down the hall, has a at least one terrible employee sitting at the receptionist area. When I visit her older office #225, there is one receptionist that I try to avoid, like the plague. As I already stated, the office staff at suite #215, is a breath of fresh air. I now try to avoid any doctor operating out of office #225. Just my opinion.

Dr. Lee Goldberg, highly experienced, and thorough heart specialist, who I trust…read more Two weeks ago I had nuclear stress test done by experts at Dr.Goldberg's office. The technicians were the best. Today I had follow up with Dr. Goldberg to go over the test results. Katie on his staff was thorough who following BP measurement, went over in detail over all the meds that I was currently on and made sure the list of medication was up to date. She is very pleasant and professional. Dr. Goldberg went in greater detail over all the photos collected by Gamma Ray camera and explained the significance of the findings comparing with the photos from a year ago. He is a terrific communicator and answered all my questions. Spent 20 minutes and listened to the functioning of the hearts to assure me that all is well. He is a gentle soul, very easy to talk to. He listens and is very patient. I left his office worry free and stress free. He directed Angelica on his staff to schedule me for Echocardiogram and Abdominal Aorta Ultrasound. Angelica is the best and gave me six month appointments along with instructions. She takes pride in her work and is always helpful.

However, the physician's assistant was just as knowledgeable & was able to answer all questions in a satisfactory manner. Upon arrival to exam room, patient is met by 2 individuals who work simultaneously - asking questions & setting-up for cardiac test. This is very frustrating to the patient as 2 things are being done while questions are being asked. This procedure makes the patient feel like everything is rushed so the 2 individuals can promptly leave the room. Consequently, my blood pressure reading was so sky-high (I consistently have a low blood pressure) that I asked that the reading be done again. The second reading was accomplished using the other arm, without lower results. When I questioned the physician's assistant, she asked several questions which may indicate why the blood pressure reading increased drastically. However, my blood pressure reading was back to low when the test was done at the end of appointment. My primary physician's staff recently notified me that blood pressure readings are the last item to be done prior to seeing the physician due to the fact that initial testing indicates a higher reading. I suggest that you may wish to initiate this procedure which gives a more accurate blood pressure reading.
