I was filling out paperwork when Dr. Brull comes and starts yelling and screaming at the front office staff and one of the nurses. I make eye contact with Dr. Brull she closes the main door; were patients walk through to go to the exam rooms and tells the gentleman to close the glass window. She continues to scream. About spelling errors someone texted her and using too much paper. What? I felt very uncomfortable. I turned in my paperwork and was given back my information. The girls were sweet. I was called to the back, the nurse (that was screamed at) brought me to be weighed and check my height. She was sweet, i felt bad so i started a conversation with her, as we walked back to the exam room. Dr. Brull comes out, all red in the face, angry, gave me a half smile. Saying "good help is hard to come by"......im sorry what? You speak that way to your staff? and verbally attack them IN FRONT OF PATIENTS ALSO?? Waited for Dr. Brull to come in, she apologized how her staff is under staff, a nurse left recently because of a death in her family. We talked about my concerns, i started to bring up another symptom/issue i was having She held her palm up to my face. And said one problem, one visit at a time. Schedule a follow up to discuss another symptom/issue. (obviously she would like to get paid for a separate diagnosis) What In the World for the 3rd time. Seriously? I told her why do you feel you can speak to anyone that way? Why?Do you actually have patients who come back? whom are happy with your service? your caring understanding compassion as a physician? She looked at me, smiled, with her annoying bob hair cut. And told me shes more than welcome to have another physician to see me. Then Comes Dr. Deborah Geismar. I liked her. She seems very smart, knows her diagnosis. But the 30 min i waited. Im 150% sure Dr. Brull conversed with Dr. Geismar about what happened from the waiting room to the exam room. Dr. Geismar answered all my questions, asked me if i needed anything else. Comforting. But i felt she was putting on a "nice mask". The forced smile was unbearable. It was very uncomfortable, myself and i felt extremely bad those nurses and front desk staff were spoken like that, all for a paycheck. Not worth it. No one should speak to anyone like that. I understand its hard to deal with patients from 8am to 6pm, but thats your job. To be there for the health of your patients. Dont bite the staff who take care of you and your patients.

I wound up admitted through the ER after having a hypertensive crisis and wasn't even there for anything having to do with endocrinology. However, because I was on thyroid medication, as well as hydrocortisone after having surgery to remove a pituitary tumor, the medical team in charge of my care consulted with Dr. Dhali. She completely changed crucial medication, was condescending, and downright incompetent. She also placed notes in my file saying she suspected I was lying about my medical history. Absolutely outrageous. Once I got out of there I went to see my endocrinologist at Northwestern ASAP who had been managing my care successfully for 4 years and immediately corrected Dr. Dhali's dangerous medication changes. My endocrinologist was absolutely appalled that Dr. Dhali made such drastic changes without knowing or receiving my medical history from Northwestern. This woman is a kook and your health is in danger in her "care." The ONLY reason I ended up at Swedish Covenant ER was because I had a hypertensive crisis and it was the nearest hospital so the ambulance took me there. The goal was to get my blood pressure under control so that I wouldn't have a damn stroke. The cardiologist was great and he did get my blood pressure under control and ran appropriate test. There was no need for Dr. Dhali to bombard in and start messing with my crucial hormone medication (thyroid and hydrocortisone). By the way they don't even carry hydrocortisone. What kind of hospital doesn't carry hydrocortisone? Please, please for your own sake. If you have any endocrine conditions, go elsewhere. I believe Dr. Dhali is a danger to the public!!!!

UPDATE: After expressing my concern with The Clark they helped me secure an appointment and assured me that if it didn't work out, we could go elsewhere. Gave this office a chance and it was a complete 360 of my previous experience so I am cautiously optimistic. Dr. Dhali was warm and didn't rush, took time to explain and I felt a genuine care. The administrative side could still work on smiling but they weren't rude. Hoping this wasnt a fluke and I'll have a consistent positive experience moving forward.

He is incredibly empathetic, and he has great bedside manner. He takes his time with his case history and his exam, and he also leaves plenty of time at the end for any questions or concerns that hadn't been addressed. He's only prescribed and ordered what I feel are necessary medications and lab tests, and he personally calls us with our blood work results. I have never had a doctor call me personally. So in summary if you're looking for a great PCP in the Park Ridge area, I would highly recommend Dr. Evans and please please disregard the negative review from several years ago.

She told me we should wait and see if medication would help. When it didn't help, I went back. She asked if I had started physical therapy and when I told her I hadn't, she smiled at me and told me (I felt with condescension) that this would ideally be where I would start with treatment.
