I'm writing this review to warn others about the misleading sales practices at dr. Laser. During a recent visit, I was persuaded into purchasing a facial treatment package after being assured I could "cancel at any time" if I changed my mind. The representative emphasized flexibility and made it sound like a no-risk commitment. Only later, when I tried to cancel within a reasonable period, did I discover I had unknowingly signed a no-refund policy buried in the paperwork--something that was never verbally disclosed or clearly explained at the time of signing. I have tried to contact the management for them to honor the initial verbal promise of cancellation but they simply won't return my emails or calls. While the facility itself might be nice, trust and transparency are essential in beauty and wellness services. I feel deliberately misled and trapped into a payment plan under false pretenses. Please be sure to read every line of anything you sign here--and don't rely on verbal promises. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless they fully clarify and update their cancellation disclosures upfront. read more

Horrific experience. They are running a scam here. Had me buy a package, to then tell me I'd "been in the sun" every appointment when I'd told them multiple times I'd not (why would I lie and want to get burned??) and that I'm simply naturally tanned. Refused to use appropriate force on my laser treatment and then tried to urge me to buy more treatments at a higher price point when I was left with hairy areas when promised at the beginning I'd be left completely smooth. I am a very good candidate for laser hair treatment by the way - practically hairless in the first place and was told on the first appointment that I wouldn't even need the full package to be left bald. read more

Honestly Dr.Laser is always 5 stars. My service is always prompt and personal not to mention super precise. I do full body removal and in my 6 sessions I have seen a drastic reduction in body hair and it has made such a difference in my confidence as well as saved me time and stress having to shave all the time. If I could give less than 1 star I would. I have had laser treatment before and the experience here is way below par, save your money. I went to another laser spa and they questioned if I had even had the treatment...8 treatments later. After this consultation I tried to address the issue with management, with no success leading me to stop using my pre-paid package and writing this review. They lose appointments in the calendar, forget what service they're providing and constantly try to sell you on additional services. I've been a customer for 3 years, and I've noticed a significant decline in service. It's a shame because I absolutely LOVE my aesthetician Stella but I unfortunately cannot justify going here just for her anymore. The manager and I had a disagreement about how many sessions I had left in my laser package. I explained to her that I had one leg session left because the one time I came and did the rest of my body, I was not able to do my legs because I was in the sun. At this appointment I asked them to please make a note of this in my account so I don't have any issues. Even though Stella verified my claim, I was later told that I definitely had no sessions left according to their computer records. Their appointment data wasn't reliable to begin with given there were several times I would make an appointment when leaving the last one and I would show up at the scheduled time and somehow there was no record of it my booking. The amount of times I would be on time and I would sit in the waiting room for 45 minutes because they were running so behind. It got to the point where I started asking the front desk to text my appointment details so there was proof of my booking details. I was fed up with the way I was treated after being such a loyal customer. It's NYC- there are hundreds of med spas in the area. Under this new manager, I will be surprised if this place lasts. TLDR: DONT GO HERE. I would give 0 stars if I could. This place genuinely sucks. The employees that work here are con artists and consistently try to bully you into buying additional packages and services. I came here to get laser hair removal for underarms and bikini. Not to get insulted and harassed to buy additional treatments. The lady that did my laser told me I have redness and scarring on my face and told me I need to get their PRP treatment on my face or else the scarring will be permanent. I thought this recommendation was extremely inappropriate and unsolicited. I would never trust anyone that works at this place to draw blood from my arm and inject it into my face. IF I even WANTED that treatment, I would go to someone that actually knows what they're doing and is a licensed professional. Another time they told me that my legs are hairy and I would look a lot better if I got them lasered. I tried to tell them I want to keep getting my legs waxed because I am not in the financial position to buy a $750 laser hair package for my legs at the moment but they continued to try to sell me. The ladies that work at the front are just as bad. They try to upsell you and get mad at you when you turn them down. They pull random specials and discounts out of their ass to act like they're giving you a good deal and then they will blow your phone up saying that their "good deal" is expiring soon. Whoever owns this place needs to manage it better. I don't think they use high quality lasers and their goal is to get you to keep coming back so I don't think you are getting the service that is advertised. read more

I found them on Groupon. So naturally I called (to make sure I could come in today) and got a same day appointment within minutes, I walked in about 20 mins early and was taken care of immediately! They actually gave me a WAYYYY better deal than Groupon (that's partly why I always call first!) They measured my targeted area and helped me find a package best suited for me and my needs. The office is VERY clean, modern & welcoming! The staff is FRIENDLY and my laser tech (Maritza) was amazing! She took VERY GOOD care of me, ensuring I was comfortable and understood what was about to happen. I was able to take breaks when I needed them. They use ice as a numbing method which is safer than numbing cream (keeps the skin from getting burnt). Maritza explained the best way and safest to care for my skin after the procedure; and suggested after care products as well. This was the most horrendous "medical" experience I have ever had done in my life. From the start I asked the receptionist to book me with a nurse and not only was this not done I was lied to about it from both the receptionist and Stella (aesthetician) who I asked before starting my procedure if she was a nurse and she said "yes." So I continued with the procedure. I asked her if she could be gentle because I had micro-needling with PRP done in the past and got a little hyperpigmentation that took a while to go away and she got really aggressive and refused and several things went wrong during the procedure. First she almost dropped the tools she was using to draw blood, plasma leaked and the numbing agent leaked into my eyes and she would not let me rinse them out bc she just wanted to finish in a hurry. My eyes were burning all day and felt like they were going to explode out of my eyes. She destroyed my face with the needles and still have hyperpigmentation from this procedure. I also have a ton of eye floaters that appeared the day after the procedure. I went back to talk to them about everything that happened and the receptionist was acting super paranoid the whole time. I had my phone out because I was trying to show her pictures of the issues I've been dealing with and she told me to put my phone away and closed all the laptops in front of her, acting very guilty and this is that she didn't even know what I was there for yet. I was talking about all that had happened and in the middle we discovered that Stella was not a nurse and simply lied about it. And the receptionist kept defending her saying there was cameras everywhere. There certainly is not, as if that makes a difference in regard to what they did to me. Another guest walked in when I was explaining what happened and the receptionist turned on music very loud to drown me out. Not only was that extremely rude to do but clearly they have experience in trying to hide things, so I started yelling. And she took me to a back room where I finally spoke with Francesca, an actual nurse who explained to me in great detail exactly what Stella had done wrong confirming that none of what happened to me would have happened if I had actually been booked with her instead of a Stella who lied to me and will be getting reported to the New York medical board for fraud. My face was dripping blood. This should have never happened. I regret the whole experience, I have been getting beauty treatments for years now and can without a doubt say due to the trauma I endured I will never be getting one again anywhere. I was offered a laser treatment but like I said I'm afraid of getting anything done or it exacerbating my new hyperpigmentation. It's so frustrating and it took me a while to even leave this review bc I kept wanting to see if it would go away but no it's here to stay. read more

Just got carbon laser peel. The front desk staff was professional and was friendly. But I had to leave a review because the service was not professional or it was done with care. First they didn't cleanse my face throughly; didn't offer me a hairband. I asked for one, then they gave me one after they already put carbon cream on. (what's the point of it...). Usually after putting the carbon cream on, wait about 15mins so the cream can soak into your skin before the laser. But they did the laser right after putting the cream on. (I thought that was strange). Before putting laser on, the person didn't tell me she is starting (my eyes were covered). She didnt say any words (nothing like "let me know if it hurts"). Here is what ticked me off: They finished, then put sunscreen on. I checked my face and my face was still dirty with the carbon cream. I asked for another wipe since my face was ridiculously stained. If I wasn't wearing a mask, there is no way I'm walking out with that stained face. I came here to destress but gained more stress ironically. They put me for 10am appointment. Usually people come early often times. Got there and waited in freezing cold weather. Idk why they even have people come for 10am appointment if they are not gonna have them wait in the lobby for the appointment. They saw me and other woman waiting outside I even knocked on the door for help, but they just walked passed. They said they will give me a voucher for free session since they don't do refund. I wonder if things will be different if I decide to go next time. Waste of my time and energy. It was the worst way to start my weekend. read more

They have a nice coffee/tea waiting area for you as well. They follow the Covid-19 protocols, and are very professional. I have had several treatments done here, including an hour long facial. It was the best facial I ever received. My skin was glowing, clean, and radiant for weeks. They often run promotions, so check and see if something you are looking for is discounted.
