I am currently seeing Dr. McNeil for my PTSD, depression, anxiety, and some other things. Dr. McNeil provides quality care and the office staff are AMAZING! They are always so attentive, calling when I forget to confirm appointments, and super flexible when I've had life events come up. While Jessica, the office manager, may come off as not empathetic to others, she has shown me nothing but compassion! I always recommend Dr. McNeil and her amazing staff to everyone that has asked me about my psychiatry treatment! read more

Horrible and I mean, horrible office staff. The office manager Jessica does not have the demeanor to be in the medical field.. NO empathy NO compassion NO understanding is a class that she made an A+. Never once had a problem with Dr. Natividad. From the beginning, it was unorganized and I thought it was just because it was a new office, but it just seems like every time you go in there's something.. I think Dr Natividad's client list is a little too much for her to handle. Especially when you have an office manager like Jessica who was guaranteed to bully you and make sure you know she's the office manager and as she put it when I tried to talk to Dr McNeal were a package deal. I hate seeing all of these bad reviews. Dr. McNeil has been the only one able to help with my recurring depression. She is very empathetic and very detail oriented. I anticipated going to a psychiatrist would be just meet and give me another medicine. That is why I put it off for so long. She was warm, thorough and explained things where I could understand them. I wish she was aware of these things people are saying about the staff, as I bet she is not. Sounds like very poor customer service, which tends to be a lost art these days. I do know the showing up an hour early isn't just to get signatures, it's to verify the information with insurance and put everything in the system. It would be beneficial if you could receive the paperwork ahead of time via email. I hate to say, in my experience her staff is not very friendly. read more

HORRIBLE PLACE. HORRIBLE STAFF. HORRIBLE TO POLICE VETS. I set up an app. 2 months earlier. As I neared the first date to go see this lady, they called and rescheduled me for the following month. Yes, that's right... Out of meds, and had to wait an additional month. Then the day comes. I show up at 1:15 PM with a 2:00 PM appointment. 45 minutes early. The receptionist stated that was supposed to arrive a full hr early for paperwork. Since I was 15 minutes late for "PAPERWORK" not the appointment, I was advised I would have to reschedule. I live over 100 miles from Amarillo and when I told the receptionist this, she didn't take that into consideration. I advised the receptionist that since I was 45 minutes "AHEAD" of my actual appointment time, I could fill out the paperwork, no big deal. She said "no." she went on to say "This is why we ask you to show up a full hr ahead of time." I advised her no, you requested I show up. I never was advised that if I was a few minutes late to the hr ahead of time paperwork that I would be turned away. Forget that this Office is near impossible to find unless you know where your going. Or the construction on I-40 which was why I was 15 minutes late to the hr ahead of time crap anyway. Sad how this DR. treats vets. I told her not to even reschedule. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I started seeing Dr. McNiel after I had my first child. I was dealing with some pretty awful postpartum depression and anxiety. She was awesome. She actually listened to me and helped so much with the issue. I was referred to her by my OBGYN, which was one of the best things that could have happened. I'm very grateful to her for all she's done and would recommend her to anyone going through that situation. read more

Very disappointed in McNeil's staff. I recommended her to a relative and and they were very rude. Wish i never heard of dr. McNeil. My relative was told to arrive early for appointment and he did. Only one elevator was working and the stairs were locked. The operation of the elevator made him a couple of minutes late for his early arrival. The receptionist told him he was late and they were charging him $150 and had gave away his appointment .This almost sounds like a scam to get money for doing nothing. Very unprofessional of a person who is supposed to be in the business of helping people. read more

I do not recommend this Doctor. Please do your homework before you go. She does not have the best interests of her patients at heart, and her staff is not accomodating in the least. She refuses to sign even a form for her clients, and I am just so disappointed in that woman. She and her staff are the exact reason that people go crazy. It is pretty ironic that patients go there for their emotional state, yet leave there even more screwed up. I thought she was such a nice lady when I met her, but my first impressions were extremely wrong. I called my counselor to let her know I would be firing Dr. McNeil and needed another recommendation. Sadly she said that she had three other patients that she had seen that had just recently had terrible experiences and fired her as well. For your Psych to have zero compasssion is ruthless and just WRONG on so many levels. I have much more to say, but will leave it at this. read more

Absolutely horrendous. Got into it at my doctors appointment with the receptionist lady and was turned away. They suggested you get there an hour early to fill out the new patient paperwork and I got there about 40 min early which was more than enough time for the paperwork - it was mostly signatures. I checked in and she said I would need to finish it in 15 min if I wanted to be seen. Not even 2 minutes later she calls me up to the desk and says that since I didn't get there an hour early I would have to reschedule. I'm like are you kidding me?! I am lucky to be alive. I sacrificed and struggled so much to even show up, and I was turned away!? What kind of place is this? Save your money and sanity. I had a complete meltdown in the parking lot and thought about ending it all. Places like this are part of why people give up. You try to get some dang help, and then they play mind games with you. Your office staff should be absolutely ashamed. read more

So i called her office, both numbers that are listed nearly all day until someone finally answered. Amanda was the woman at the front desk I'm assuming, thats who took my call....my first piece of advice would be to keep Amanda as far away from having human interaction as possible because she certainly isn't very friendly. I called because I really needed to get in to see someone about some severe depression I was experiencing. I even told that to Amanda, who clearly didn't give a crap. Then she told me that the girl that actually handles all the schedules would call me or email me. That was 7 days ago. I'm very disappointed in that because it takes a lot for people to reach out for help for some things and I was treated as if I didn't even matter. Thank goodness I wasn't of any harm to myself or children. Depression shouldn't be taken lightly and I'm highly disappointed that it was. I would never ever recommend this place of business to anyone. They clearly don't care about their clients or to make any future ones, or about actual human beings and their health because if they did, I would have been taken more seriously. read more

It's too bad I can't give 0 stars. The office staff was rude and difficult to deal with when I was trying to schedule my appointment. They require you to see a counselor/therapist before they will schedule you. (That's normal) I already had, so they needed the counselor to fax over a statement saying that they had seen me. My counselor faxed the required paperwork over. I called a few days later to see if I could schedule my appointment. I was told that they had not received anything from my counselor. This went back and forth several times (This took 1.5 weeks) I even had my counselor fax the paperwork over again, but was still told that they had not received anything. Out of frustration I asked the woman on the phone if she was positive that they did not have any paperwork from my counselor. She told me to hang on and then came back and said that they had received my paperwork, but my birthday was incorrect so when they searched for my birth date it did not show up. (She found it by searching my name) I was now able to schedule an appointment 4-5 weeks out. Now onto the day of the appointment. My appointment was scheduled at 2:30, but I was told to arrive one hour early so I could fill out paperwork. I had to make arrangements to leave work early, but I was more than willing because I really needed this appointment. I got a little hung up leaving work, and arrived at the office 10 minutes late. I walked up to the desk and attempted to check in for my appointment. The lady at the desk unapologetically told me that I could not be seen because I was "late". I pulled my phone out of my pocket and looked at the time 1:42 pm... 48 minutes before my scheduled 2:30 appointment and I was turned down. She said I wouldn't have time to fill out the paperwork. Bewildered, I asked if I got the paperwork filled out in time if I could see Dr. McNeil at 2:30. She said no. At this point I was nearly speechless because I was beyond angry. I went ahead and filled out the paperwork to prove a point and just to be sure this lady was telling the truth. I completed the paperwork and returned to the desk at 2:12, 18 minutes before my scheduled 2:30 appointment. Before I handed it over I asked if there was any way I could see Dr. McNeil that day and again I was told no. She attempted to reschedule me a little over 3 weeks away from that date. I kept my paperwork and told her I would let her know about the appointment. I have no idea what Dr. McNeil is actually like because I was not able to see her. I can tell you that the office staff is rude and her policy for how early you should show up to your appointment is ludicrous. I understand the need to draw a line, but I feel like I was treated unfairly. I feel like her policy could cost someone their life. The scenario I just described hit me pretty hard. I can't imagine how someone worse off than me would handle it. I will not be returning. read more
