I used to go to Blue Med Spa in Sherman Oaks, and every visit there would take 1-2 hours. The whole experience always felt like constant upselling from start to finish, from the front desk to the injector. It just wasn't enjoyable. My visit today was the complete opposite. The office is beautiful and very welcoming. When you walk in there's chilled champagne, orange juice for mimosas, and a lot of skincare products displayed. I'll admit I was a little nervous at first because I thought it might be another high-pressure environment. Instead, everyone was incredibly kind and relaxed. I told Kelly upfront that I had about $450-$500 to spend, and she didn't bat an eye or make me feel uncomfortable about having a budget. She treated my 11 lines and forehead wrinkles for $300, after the receptionist helped me apply a $65 coupon that she informed me about at check out. I was honestly expecting to only be able to afford my 11s like I used to at Blue, where just the forehead area would run around $550-$600 and crows feet were always extra. The difference here was huge. Kelly was thorough, knowledgeable, and efficient. She explained what she was doing, listened to what I wanted, and never once pressured me to add anything or buy extra services or products. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. I'm beyond impressed with the whole experience and so happy to be done with Blue Med Spa. After my procedure, I had to wait another 10 minutes while the administrator was talking on the phone. No apology. No explanation. She didn't even tell me about payment right away -- just completely unprofessional. Customer service here is terrible. No flexibility, no empathy, no respect for clients' time or money. They must've hired new people and they told me they had new injectors which I'm a little hesitant about so I'll post my follow up review after my next visit.. ‼UPDATE: Since the very sudden departure of my injector, Sonja, and a few other staff, the quality of injectables like Botox and Xeomin has gone WAY downhill. It turns out I am mutual friends with somebody who worked there who told me to specifically ask how much Botox or Xeomin you are actually getting vs saline they mix it with. She also alluded to staff leaving because they were being pressured to overly dilute the product. So when paying close to $400 I believed this was same Botox I would get anywhere else, I since learned that it might have been overly diluted, I can see why my results are not at all the same as going to a place like Infinity Med Spa. It has been almost 2 weeks and I diligently go every 3 months. I can say firsthand that what I paid for was not what I received. The injector also actually hurt me. I've been getting Botox for 20 years and I've never been poked so badly. I have sent friends, colleagues, other beauty practitioners there, and none of them have been happy with the changes in product quality. I believe she was using a larger gauge needle. I do have a follow up appointment which I usually never have to go to. However, I'm hoping mind body infusion will make this right And hopefully not charge me another $400. Good luck trying to call and reach an actual person to resolve an issue. When appointments are canceled last minute, I have been told the next available appointment is a month or more out. I've had appointments canceled when I was already due for service, only to be told I couldn't be seen again for a month to a month and a half. This is absurd considering the cancellation was not my fault. Even more concerning is that the salon keeps clients' credit cards on file, yet I have still been unable to reach anyone to confirm that my information has been removed. It's especially frustrating as a long-term client who has always shown up on time, tipped well, and been flexible when scheduling issues came up. At times, it feels as though clients are treated like an inconvenience rather than valued customers. At this point, the lack of professionalism and reliability has simply become ridiculous. I have used multiple services at this salon, but I will be taking all of my business elsewhere.
