Buyer Beware Deceptive Sales Practices Dr. Infantino fraudulently sold me his Gut, Liver & Cell Rejuvenation program for $3,750 by misrepresenting its contents during a Zoom sales call. He described the program as supplements, clean eating (cutting sugar for 4 weeks), and mild exercise. He would not send me any documentation after our call for me to review. A red flag I should have immediately walked away from. So I asked him to confirm, "just so we're clear, the program only includes supplements, clean eating and exercise?", he said "yes" without hesitation. After signing the agreement and paying, I received the manual and was immediately shocked to discover prolonged fasting sessions and a glucose-spiking maple syrup cleanse. As a pre-diabetic, this protocol could be genuinely harmful to me. When I raised concerns, his coach's response, "we just need to get you on a call and talk you through the program", suggested this pattern may be recurring. Dr. Infantino never denied the misrepresentation or apologized for it. His only response was that the consultation call was "not to cover program specifics, but to determine if you were a good fit." He never delivered the first promised act of service, reviewing my supplement list, and refused to issue a refund. I disputed the charge with my credit card company, I was able prove deceptive practices, and my dispute was approved and I was issued a refund. This process took several months to complete and was just gross business behavior. Additionally, Dr. Infantino does not appear to be certified with the Institute for Functional Medicine (ifm.org), yet uses that terminology to inflate his credentials. I participated in the Liver, Cell, and Gut Rejuvenation program and unfortunately had a very negative experience. Shortly after starting, I became extremely sick with body aches, fatigue, bloating, stomach cramps, and other symptoms. I was told this was part of the detox process and pushed through for weeks, but the symptoms only worsened. When I went to my primary care doctor, my bloodwork showed major changes from my previous labs--very low sugar levels and very high iron levels. My doctor instructed me to stop all supplements, and within two weeks my levels returned to normal. When I reintroduced the supplements one at a time, I had bad reactions to all of them except vitamin D. Clearly, something in the products was causing serious health issues. To be fair, when things were going well at the beginning, the company was very responsive. However, once I became sick and raised concerns, that responsiveness disappeared. They did offer me a $500 refund for the unused supplements, but considering I paid $3,750 for the program, no other compensation was offered. That lack of follow-through and accountability was very disappointing, especially given the severity of the side effects. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this program. Platinum wellness is a facility that helps with gut health and weight loss. If you're someone needing to lose weight and want to be held accountable, they are a great company. They will teach you about a healthy eating and create a plan that will last a lifetime. A health coach will meet with you weekly to keep you on track. There are also exercise options and supplements to speed up the weight loss. The reason I went was strictly for my gut health. I did not need to lose weight. I was having bloating with eating the majority of food I consumed. I had done elimination diets in the past and I had already removed gluten and dairy for years but was still reacting to almost all food. The Chiropractor sat with me to understand my issues. He did spend a lot of time with me which I appreciated. He put me on a 6 week candida program. I followed it to the letter. I did feel better within a few weeks, but I was eating mostly vegetables and taking lots of supplements. The reason that I didn't give a 4 or 5 is because I didn't feel that the program solved my gut issues. I felt that if I ate mostly veggies for the rest of my life that I would be "cured" but I don't want to be vegan/vegetarian. I still have bloating. She did a really nice job - and I'm pretty picky about my massage therapists. My only (small) complaint is that because Stephanie is really good, her schedule fills up - so it takes about 6 weeks to get an appointment if you have any schedule preference. I just finished a 12 week cleanse and I couldn't be any happier with my results.
