From the second they picked up the phone to schedule my first appointment, I've had nothing but great experiences with this clinic. The girls are super sweet, understanding and encouraging. The programs work as long as you are doing the work along with it. The prices are affordable. There's never a long wait. After the first scheduled appointment, it's on a walk in basis. However, while I'm waiting, it's always pleasant experiences from the patients before me. Everyone is always smiling and laughing. The attendant at the front desk is extremely rude. They mixed up my time and I had it a half an hour early. I explained to her that the time that I wrote down with a half an hour later and I arrived 20 minutes earlier. The waiting room was empty. she refused to talk to the provider. They don't tie you in to some BS 1 year contract, they don't waste your time with in-house workouts and meetings to go over food journals, there is always a nurse or nutritionist here to answer questions if you have any. It's simple and effective, and very affordable. So if your like me, and already know what you need to do (eat healthy and exercise) then this place will get you to your goal. Ill sum up what a lot of other Yelp reviewers have said. Location: In a seedy part of town. It is located in the store strip right next to the QT gas station. Inside smells strongly of air freshener..Not the good kind. Too over powering, but it seemed tidy. It is small with few places to sit with the amount of people in there. However the people seemed to shift in and out pretty quickly. Staff: Was friendly and informative. They got me in and out pretty fast. considering I was a walk in as well. Products: I came in only interested in the Phentermine. They have an intro special for new patients($10 for 2 weeks supply). After that it is $15/week. No consultation fee either. They also gave me a free B12 shot as well. You can only get up to 2 weeks at a time and then have to return for remainder. I was first seen by an assistant who took my weight, fat composition etc. Then we chose a calorie/diet plan. She thoroughly went over everything I am supposed to be eating daily. It's pretty common sense and I already knew everything so she was able to skim through pretty quick. I was then seen by the doctor who went over the drug information and my meal plan as well. Phentermine: I was put on 30mg. Today is only the second day, but I have been on drugs similar. I have a high tolerance, so upon taking it yesterday didn't really affect me drastically. I was already quite tired upon taking it, and that didn't change much throughout the day. I felt a slight surge mid day but that quickly went away. I have to say my appetite was nil. I had to force feed myself and remind myself to up my water intake. I had no issues sleeping either. Ill see how things progress once im on it for a while. If you are looking for a plan to really help change your lifestyle and eating habits..probably not the place for it. If however, you are like me and lead a decent lifestyle but just need a little push, this place is it. Compared to other places I researched you cant get better prices. But about the facility in general, it's easy to drive right pass this place (its next door to QT), its small and was packed when I walked in. I had my appointment scheduled for 10 AM. because I was a new patient, but wasn't seen until 10:45!! Kinda ridiculous. But other than that...all in all it was great. I have to totally disagree with the other reviews. I have been going to this place since the day it opened. I have had very positive results, have lost weight, and I feel so healthy. The owner of the business is very passionate about the health of her clients and has been very, very supportive of my weightloss journey. In addition to that, the support staff is alwasy friendly and ready to help. As far as the location, it is on 7th St. and northern, which by the way is not a bad part of town. It isn't Scottsdale, but I live in Central Phoenix for a reason, its the city!!!! This office is VERY clean and well maintained. The diet is well organized if you actually look throught the booklet you are given when you become a new patient. It clearly explains all of the medications that are available and what their purposes is. it also provides options of different foods you can eat and sample menus along with a daily food journal and exercise log. As far as affordability, this is one of the most reasonably priced weightloss programs I have ever seen. The place was empty, cool, the provider, and new one I hadn't seen before, an African-American lady, seemed nice. BUT the first thing she said was "you were on phentermine..blah blah...we haven't seen you since January...blah blah...small talk." "Well I don't think your a candidate for Phentermine, considering your addictive tendencies" with the Ambien your on.." Me: Wtf?!?!?! I don't even really take that... Her: "well you just filled It, and Codine too (ummm my arm is in a cast lol I broke it 2 weeks ago) I know those things are hard to get off of... when you are able to work out again someday maybe you can I do it, but I don't want to get you addicted to something else." Yes they go over nutrition and yes they measure your body fat and resting metabolism etc. You see a nurse practitioner who decides what dose you will start with. My first ever visit cost me $5. Yes. $5. No discounts. No groupon. I went in wanting the phentermine after researching it. I got a B-12 shot, the whole workup, nutritional advice and first week of Phentermine for $5. It's for new clients- first two weeks is $5 and then after that it's $18. What a deal!!!!! Don't know how it will go for me, but I will update. Starting the medication tomorrow. This is a scary, scary place. Please be very aware that all this place is, is a pill mill. I went there yesterday and never made it back to see anyone. This place caters to people with little to no resources who are looking to lose weight and are wanting a quick fix. They are keeping controlled substances under the front counter and an unqualified person is passing out pills. There is no record of a medical professional listed, who is seeing or overseeing the passing out of these pills? Who is signing off on these charts? I started coming to this clinic because I needed to lose a few pounds and I was pretty amazed at how it worked. The medicine is pretty awesome. The bad part is you have to take drug holidays that last 4 weeks and you are without medicine all that time. The facility itself is small and wait times can be obnoxious. In addition to that everyone brings their numerous amounts of kids into the clinic, even though they have requested that kids should not be brought to the clinic. I've only made the first consultation but I was pretty impressed with the depth of the initial consultation vs the price. A few years ago I talked to my primary care doc about weight loss and he just said "eat 1200 calories a day and here's a month's worth of pentermine prescription" The primary care doc plus script was like $200 out of pocket because i hadn't met my copay. Here I got much more in depth weight analysis, they actually asked me questions about what I currently eat and made suggestions, and counseled me seriously against trying Phentermine as a magic cure-all. I know how to lose weight, I've done it before, but I needed just a *little extra* willpower help, and i think this is a good place for that. I can't say enough nice things about this clinic. The staff are amazing and provide an environment where you feel cared for. I had great success previously but then went through an illness where I was very inactive and gained back weight. Wow, I read the reviews from the Living Social people above and my experience was nothing like that. I was encouraged to see how the Living Social plan worked for me and no one ever tried to upsell me. I lost weight regularly with the Lipoden injections. The only issue I ever had was that an extern MA there didn't really know the product but if you talk to Toni, she'll explain it all to you - as many times as you need. I've been very happy there and continued once my Living Social deal was complete. I would recommend the program to anyone who already knows what to do to lose weight (good nutrition, exercise) but just needs a little help staying on track. read more
