I recently requested physical forms for my children and was told that since it had been more than three months since their last visit, they would need to see the doctor again for the forms to be completed. I left one form with the receptionist, who made an appointment. When I called to follow up on the form, I was informed that the appointment had been incorrectly scheduled as a follow-up visit rather than a physical exam. As a result, they insisted that my children must be seen by the doctor again. Despite pointing out their error, they refused to take responsibility and continued arguing. This situation feels like a deliberate attempt to create unnecessary visits to bill insurance. It is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Their actions don't account for the inconvenience caused to families--children missing instructional time at school and parents having to take time off work. This lack of consideration is frustrating and deeply disappointing.

Our previous doctor, in our…read moreopinion, talked at us using big words with minimal opportunities to clarify our understanding, leaving us with as many questions as we had answers. We decided to take the leap and work with Dr. Talya and our experience has been nothing short of excellent. Dr. Talya's bedside manner not only answers our questions in a comprehensible way, he helps our son feel involved in the conversation and makes him feel comfortable during visits. Our family had a job change necessitating a new insurance plan. Before we even accepted the position, we made sure we could keep our son under Dr. Talya's care! When your family has long term medical needs it's so nice to have a doctor's office on your side. Dr. Talya's office staff have a strong sense of communication and will call back every time we have a question, and followed up for nearly 2 weeks when our insurance was giving us the run around. If I could give ten stars I would!

You feel like family the moment you enter. **MAJOR PROS (unbeatable in my opinion) Parking: The building is easy to enter, parking literally 15 feet away, no complicated entrance. Appointments: Calls are direct, no call center or answering service. **The Doctor: Dr Talya is everything one hopes for in a Peds physician but rarely ever finds. Compassionate, yet firm, knowledgable, overqualified and open minded to anything and everything that helps his patience. I honestly cannot say enough about the office and this doctor. The office: It's sparkling clean, like a dental office, bright and child friendly, with lots of things to keep the kiddos busy during the short wait. All-in-all. I would def recommend Nor Cal Pedicatric GI.

The only issue I ever had was with the office and being able to schedule my sons when they are sick since COVID started. I never understood why I was never able to just make an appnt for my sons to be seen when they were sick and having to wait for a call back to be scheduled. There have a been a couple of times I would patiently wait for hours to get that call, and when I did I would be lucky if I could get in the same day. A couple months ago I finally had enough of dealing with that process and had to resort to taking my son to urgent care when he was really sick because I did not want to have to wait for a call back to be scheduled for an appnt, not knowing if my son would be able to be seen in a timely manner. Fast forward to today..... Called Dr. Harts office around 2:00pm and was actually able to schedule an appnt without waiting for a call back!!!! There was no provider available to see my son at the Citrus Heights office but was offered a virtual visit over Zoom with another provider from another clinic (something else that is new as I have never been offered to schedule with another clinic for these urgent concerns). Was able to see the provider by 5:15pm and have my son prescribed Zofran to help him be able to keep food and liquid down. Was also given great homecare advice to keep him from getting dehydrated, and out of the ER. If it wasn't for this amazing change I may have had to take my son to urgent care with an emisis bag to get him the help he needed ASAP, possibly exposing all those people to COVID (yes, he tested positive). THANK YOU Dignity, and Dr. Hart's office for improving the process of scheduling for your patients. I am one happy Mama!
