If I could give 10 stars, I would have given 20 stars. Our pipe broke last night - the worst timing. Many places, although they call themselves 24/7 services, seemed to be reopen on Tuesday. I call Dr. Drain, and they called back immediately, and told us how many houses were ahead of us. They kept updating the progress via text. They arrived around 7:45pm on Christmas Eve, started working immediately to locate the break found it, fixed it, made sure we got water from all faucets and toilets. And they left for 4 more jobs. I know everyone wanted to have Christmas Eve with the family and friends, and we really appreciate their professionalism to work on this busy day to help us. read more

I hired Dr Drain to clear a slow draining shower in an out-of-state rental property we own in Boulder, where the tenant scheduled several days out, then was stuck in a meeting and so cancelled at the last minute, and was finding it very difficult to reschedule due to her intensely packed work & university schedule. Brett, our Dr Drain tech kept in contact with me throughout and really demonstrated the utmost professionalism and chill attitude about the whole thing. His attitude was basically, 'we will keep trying until we make it happen,' which I did not expect but very sincerely appreciated. I had an outdoor faucet that needed replacement and reached out to this business. Brett came out and gave me a quote for the repair and proceeded to the do the work. It required cutting a small hole in the drywall in the basement and he was spot on with locating the appropriate plumbing behind the dry wall. He was efficient, pleasant, and did an excellent job. There continued to be some small leaking after he replaced the faucet and once I let him know, he returned promptly, quickly figured out what was going on, and fixed the issue. I had a plugged kitchen sink drain and asked for a plumber to come out. His evaluation was that the sink was not plugged and that the septic tank was full creating the issue. He charged me $49 and left. Septic company said "that is how a septic tank is supposed to look like, full", there are no issues. Called Dr. Drain about the misdiagnosis and asked about how much it would be to snake the drain. They refused to give me any pricing over the phone even though all plumbers do. Leading me to feel uncertain of high prices. (Note the plumber did say in person that water snaking is around $360 an hour). I asked about a warranty as in the past I had a drain clog fixed but they just moved the plug further down and it got stuck again. Would they come back out and fix it if that happened? They said warranties are case by case basis and they cannot say. They also said they would not refund my $49 even though they made the error. Not sure why the reviews are so good as their pricing is high from the little they have told me. Did not diagnose my issue correctly and charged me for it. Do not offer a warranty like other plumbers. And do not give fair disclosure on their rates, hourly, snaking over the phone etc. I called Planet Plumbing and they fixed the issue in 30 minutes, charge $180 up to an hour of snaking, offer a 30 day warranty. I will work with them in the future! read more

I just hired Dr. drain for the first time to replace a bathroom sink faucet and had a wonderful experience. This company is run like a naval ship. They employ a software system that constantly updates the client as to the status of the plumbing tech every step of the way, generates digital invoices, and accepts credit/debit cards. Duncan arrived within the scheduled window of time and finished the job in less than an hour. The install was perfect and cost exactly what I was quoted. Need to get 3 quotes and pick a company to do a drain line install. They wouldn't quote anything on the phone and want to charge $49 to come out and do an estimate. Which is not apparently refunded when you pick them for the service. I'll continue with companies that do free estimates and at least tell roughly what the hourly is so I can gauge how much it will be and not waste everyones time... Update : Dr Drain sent the below saying it is credited to the job, which would have been useful to know when I called. But I do prefer companies that offer free estimates, sorry this didn't work out. read more

Customer service was awesome (got a live person!) and then our technician showed up early. Super courteous and funny; took the time to walk me through the problems; and then fixed the basement problem for what I thought was a very reasonable price. I called Dr Drain on a Sunday after I dropped my husbands diamond earring down the drain in my bathroom - all the other plumbers that made calls on Sunday couldn't get to me until the end of the day or Monday. Jordan at Dr Drain stepped up to the plate and came over in about 30 minutes and rescued the earring with a smile - he then said, "you have an hour of my time...what else would you like me to look at?" He showed up on time with a good sized crew and all the equipment needed to excavate, replace, and re-concrete the sewer. Excellent work, good materials, focused and worked 11 hours straight to restore service. By comparison three other area plumbers (to remain un-named) had trouble piecing a quote together over a two week period. We had a leak in our bathtub faucet that suddenly went from small to serious so we called Jordan on a Saturday morning. Became over right away. He explained everything he was doing and showed us the parts he was replacing and stayed until he was sure that not one more drip was going to come through. He advised that we might want to replace the fixtures at some point because he couldn't guarantee a permanent fix using what we had but he was not being pushy about it at all.
