Dr. Funk took a 2 second look at my mouth & wanted to change my pain pill to another NSAID which I declined ; I told her Motrin gave me stomach pain. Without explaining what was going on, she left the room angrily. All procedures should be followed by post-op care which I did not received. I took Tylenol & am ok now. The waiting area is filthy. (I have photos.) It is not in good condition and it's apparent that it's not cleaned thoroughly. As a medical facility, this is unacceptable! The floor is disgusting. The area near the windows is covered in layers of dust and dirt. I don't believe they've ever cleaned their glass door. It's disgusting. I had an appointment at 8:00 am and to walk in as the first customer of the day to a dirty waiting room, is totally unacceptable. It's also proof that the facility wasn't thoroughly cleaned the day before. 3. They are never on time. I've had a wait even when I arrived 15 minutes early. This is unfortunate and clearly proves that they don't prioritize timeliness. 4. There are layers (literal layers) of dust and dirt on every blind. This is definitely not okay for patients that have respiratory problems or asthma. When was this facility last visited by the local health department? 5. I noticed many HIPAA violations by the front office staff. They openly discussed private patient info in front of a packed waiting room. This is unacceptable! According to their reviews, you can tell that my noticing isn't exaggerated. Do your due diligence and visit facilities before you make appointments. Dr. Seymour Kurtz was a friendly, knowledgeable and steady in his treatment recommendations and care, and I was his patient until his retirement in 2023. His son, Dr. Andrew Kurtz, came into the practice a few years prior, and I have since transitioned to his care. He has seamlessly taken over the practice and continued the friendly, knowledgeable and steady work his father modeled. I appreciate that both doctors Kurtz err on the conservative side of recommending treatment, unlike my parents' old dentist that would try to upsell everything and drill everywhere.
