I visited Dr. Chiang for a routine eye exam in early November 2020 as a new patient and I'm so disappointed I didn't begin seeing him years ago when friends initially referred him to me. He was extremely thorough while also being efficient during my exam. He noticed a small spot/shadow on my retina and referred me to a specialist for a second opinion, which is invaluable considering my family history with retina issues. Cara, the front desk representative, was extremely pleasant and helpful when scheduling my initial appointment and my follow up contact fitting appointment. Dr. Chiang is superb. He took the time to explain why I was struggling with my vision as compared to an ophthalmologist I had seen 5 mos earlier who did not do so. Dr. Chiang also has the patience and compassion of a physician. He is a true professional and I would recommend him to anyone. He is honest and is not in this profession solely for the money, which is truly refreshing this day and age. Most importantly, he is obviously excellent as an Optometrist as evidenced by his ability to read my prescription off of my old glasses, use various machines with ease, and last but not least obtain a better visual acuity for me. read more

1. Does not respect your time. I was on time for my appointment, but the doctor was not even there. He came in about 15 m. later and then took a gentleman who was already sitting in the waiting room when I arrived. Did not acknowledge I was there. 2. Was unsure about the accuracy of the exam. He delegates 2 of the exam's tests to a teen boy who doesn't know how to work the equipment yet. 3. Unsanitary The boy did not wipe the plastic areas on the machines where you place you face before or after the tests There is a lot of stuff (monitors, testing equipment. etc...) piled into the waiting room. This pile would make it impossible to clean just the daily mess of everyday (think dust bunnies and hair). read more

Dr. was professional and efficient. Receptionist however needs an attitude adjustment. I have never been treated so poorly by someone. I now have to pay for another doctor to look at my script and adjust, as I will not go back. He is losing at least 5 clients because of his receptionists attitude. Uncalled for and completely unfitting anything related to Costco. I spoke with the people at the vision center inside and it seems they have many similar complaints. read more

Dr. Chiang is a great doctor and he is the eye doctor for my family for a few years. He is very professional and patient. During my recent visit, he asked me whether my right eye had any issue. I told him I might have a stie inside my eyelid on my right eye and it really bothered me for a week. Then he said I had a long inward eyelash that seem bother me and then he spent some time to take out this eyelash without any additional charge. Immediately after he had done that, I felt so much comfortable and I immediately do not have any issue on my right eye. I am so happy to have Dr. Chiang as my eye doctor and really appreciated the way he goes extra mile for his service. This is kind of doctor I can trust and highly recommend him. read more

Dr. Chiang is very professional. I have seen him yearly for the past two years and I appreciate his attention to detail and his ability to explain what is going on with my eyes. He has detected some early signs of glaucoma in my eyes and has referred me to another physician for more testing. Glaucoma is very serious and I am so appreciative that he was able to detect this pressure in my eyes. Dr. Chiang has a more subdued personality and he really focuses on making sure that he examines your eyes correctly. I would rather have an eye doctor that knows what he is doing than one that is "all marketing" and "slick." You will appreciate his attention to his profession. read more

Dr. Chiang is great. I had come in to see him about a month ago and I've been having issues with one eye since then. I called and they fit me right in. He helped fix my prescription and get new contacts at no extra charge. He's a wonderful doctor! read more

I set an appointment at this place to come in at 1:30, and they called to confirm the same time. I take off work the day of, and I show up at 1:33... they tell me they have me down at 1:00 and turn me away. Receptionist is short with patients the three times I dealt with her. Do not give this place your business. read more

Have to agree with the gal who was pleasantly surprised about the fact that Dr Chiang actually could read her script right off the pair of glasses she brought in. Here is my story equally as surprising. I went in only 5 mos after I had received a script from Dr C because my eyes were really not working correctly---especially my right one. So he goes through all the retesting, refraction etc. Then finally asks to see my glasses. Well, looks up at them and comes back with,"These glasses are not from my script. This is from your 2017 script......oopps....realized I had never gone and bought the new glasses!! )Probably didn't want to spend the money since my glasses were not even 5 mos old yet and my lenses are super expensive because they are progressive and need all the bells and whistles.....to the tune of $350 or so and I no longer have vision insurance...So, thumbs up for Dr Chiang. AS far as the front desk, well, I'll leave that up to you. Don't dismiss Dr Chiang because of the front desk ...just deal with it, he's worth it. read more

The reception nurse is very nice, but the doctor is impatient, not professional at all. Poor service.

Our family has been going to Dr. Chiang for more years than I can remember. He has always been very professional and provided us with excellent care. My husband has had two retina detachments in the same eye and was treated by a retina specialist. He still sees Dr. Chiang, however, to obtain his glasses and to check his eyes annually. Dr. Chiang is especially attentive to my husband's situation always watching for any signs of concern based on his history.I would highly recommend Dr. Chiang to anyone needing eye care. read more
