So I just feel blessed that not only do I get the opportunity to be insured for therapy but that I found a therapist that has truly changed my life. When I first started to look for a therapist, I felt like there were no resources to help me find a good match. And I know finding a good one is like finding a good lawyer, it can make or break you. I have been seeing Mary for omg I think a year now?! And my God, has my life TRANSFORMED. The coping mechanisms, the way I look at my struggles, the way I communicate, my anxiety, I can't thank her enough. I know there are like doctor patients protocols but I always think about how I would literally invite her to my wedding and just always want to send her gifts to show her how grateful I am. I'm of course not perfect and still working on myself, but every time we meet up for a session now and I'm under stress, it doesn't affect me like it used to. She is SO validating but at the same time GIVES solutions!!!!! Like if I have a conflict in business or relationship, I share the conflict, and she not only teaches me how to cope and reframe it to better my emotions toward it - she will literally suggest an actionable solution. It's the best. I didn't know therapy also came with someone who's rooting for you to succeed in every aspect of life. It's so obvious how invested she is in her patients lives, and it's so obvious how focused and intentional she is in every session. Because it was so so hard for me to find a therapist for years, I hope this review helps others find her. I'm 25, live alone, in a relationship, and own a business. I struggle with major anxiety and at the beginning of our sessions with moderate depression. I can now proudly and happily say I am pretty average with anxiety now, don't have any depression, and working on loving myself more and learning how to re teach myself how to stand in my truth and not have my feelings and emotions so dictated by other people. I thank God for Mary, she has truly truly changed my life for the better. Not to mention, shes literally SO FUNNY. I literally always feel so light and fluffy after we speak, she can totally meet me where I'm at. She's so relatable and literally SO FUNNY I CANT STRESS ENOUGH her reactions to things we talk about truly make my day. She is seriously such a cool person. My best friend recommended me to Mary and every time her and we have a problem, we will text each other about the issue and we ALWAYS SAY "have you told Mary? She would know the answer" and on our therapy days we text each other "omg I see Mary today thank God" Seriously, I truly love her and just know my life wouldn't be what it is without her. You are truly changing my life Mary and I look in the mirror with so much love and gentleness toward myself now. I NEVER EVER thought that could be possible. Seriously. Words can't even describe my gratitude. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

I'm referring to my experience with Dr. Halweg, who, after a series (roughly 45-minutes) of behavioral questions, diagnosed me with ADHD. What I did not also realize is that Dr. Halweg is also focused on deeper problems within me that I was not aware of and brilliantly brought them to light. Today, I feel that my productivity has more than 10x. To some, this might find ridiculous, but it is true. If you were to ask anyone that knows me, they would almost always share with you that I work hard. However, what many people probably are not aware of is that even though I worked hard, I have always been frustrated with my output. Getting myself to focus in the past -- especially on tasks that I did not want to do -- was incredibly difficult. When I first heard the diagnosis, it was hard for me to believe. Through hard work and luck, I have been fortunate to do many things, including giving the commencement address for my college. It blew my mind that even though I achieved so much, I could have had an attention deficit disorder. I have always had a hunch, but I never thought that I genuinely did because of what I accomplished. If you are someone who thinks you may have ADHD, I highly recommend you give Dr. Halweg's office a call. No matter your age. Trust me; it is life-changing. Thank you to Dr. Halweg and his fantastic team, which includes his Clinical Director Aja, as well for changing my life.

And if you're reading this and saying to yourself, "well I don't know what she's talking about because I'm not crazy!" Sorry to break it to you, but you are actually insane and have yet to admit it to yourself. Oh and you have some major, deep seeded childhood issues that you need to recover from through therapy. You know the guy who stabbed three people on the freeway last week over a case of road rage? Probably could have benefitted from a little one to one therapy to unearth all the resentment and repressed anger that should have emotionally been directed towards his abusive father. You know the woman who years ago rammed her Mercedes Benz into her cheating husband while their teenage daughter sat in the passenger seat? Again, could have benefitted from a little one to one therapy and some hot yoga as well. Poor woman proved that people pleasing and giving up everything for your dishonest husband only leads to two things: death and imminent jail time! (*Remember this story if you're a dude, because every woman has the ability to snap like this in one way or another. #Truth) So if you're crazy, also known as being human, then Dr. Welch is awesome! I actually put off writing this review for a good year because I adore him so much and didn't want to share. Hey, it's already really hard to get an appointment with him! He's compassionate, thoughtful and it's his life's work to help people. My favorite part of therapy is that you can tell someone your deepest, darkest, ugliest secrets or fears, and they can't tell anyone you know! We all have best friends and family that we can share things with, but therapy is a way to open and unload that emotional lock box in a safe environment. If I didn't hate school so much I think I'd go back and become a therapist myself because that's how much I enjoy the self-discovery process! And now you're probably wondering, well how is she crazy? Well that's easy, I'm a high achieving super perfectionist introvert who blocks herself with procrastination. Doesn't sound too crazy, but don't worry, I'm completely cuckoo just like you! And I'm willing to admit it for everyone on the Internet to read. See, I'm getting better already!

Having to do this every two years or so and attempting to build trusting relationships with new providers over and over again can seem impossible, and oftentimes we settle for whatever we are given. This is not the case with Dr. Wolfson at Resonate Together. In the last couple of years working with Dr. Wolfson, I have found him to be compassionate and non-judgmental, which I personally think are traits absolutely necessary in his field. He does not force his ideas or plans on you; instead, creates an open environment to develop a care plan that will work for you. The thing I appreciate most about Dr. Wolfson is his willingness to keep learning, further broadening his level of expertise and care. I would also like to add that Ms. Lori at the front office is so lovely to talk to and makes the administrative side of the business very easy to navigate.
