I've been sitting on this review and trying to figure out how to describe my experience with Austin. In a nutshell, indescribable would be easy to say, but also the immediate feeling right after the session. I can breathe a bit better if not easier, weight on my shoulders feels lighter. And overall feels like I am freed by the 'mental shackles' that has had its hold on me for a long time. Like a veil has been lifted and I am now more at peace with myself, zen like state which is something I thought I had but this is completely different. I am extremely thankful for the opportunity and I am forever truly grateful for meeting and crossing paths with Austin!

In the midst in life we tend to forget to take care of our mental health and not till I was 23 I…read moredidn't realize how much its so important to take care of ourselves mentally because that's what impacts the most of what we do in our day to day lives. I was really going through a hard breakup and felt continuously anxious, worried, and depressed. I started to lose interest in the things I love doing such as dancing, hanging out with friends, adventuring, etc. My mental health was so bad, my focus at work was deteriorating and all I wanted to do is just sleep at home. So my best friend recommended Hawaii Counseling and Wellness Center because she was going through a lot of personal issues too. She recommended Coren Kajioka so I gave it a chance and called their office to schedule the appointment. The office is located on the 15th floor at room #1510 so then I arrived there, the receptionist were very friendly and welcoming, quiet atmosphere, and there is coffee and tea for you to enjoy. They accept HMSA, UHA, HMAA, and plans with "out of network". My experience here was very helpful and I felt that my issues were addressed and Kajioka gave me the proper steps to help better myself as a person. He made me feel that my feelings are valid and I feel very valued. There is nothing wrong with going to therapy and I feel that its very beneficial to your life :) I really recommend this place so give it a try^^

With COVID having affected and changed so many lives in more ways than one since March 2020 (well…read moreover a year now as of this writing), psychologists and therapists have been in such high demand! I came across DalyBeth and Positive Health Hawaii after searching around for places that had openings and/or were accepting new patients, which as expected was super hard to come by and especially within a short time. Having been living alone and hardly able to see the closest friends for the last year now along with dealing with lots of tension within another organization that I'm working for on a part-time basis, I've been trying to seek help with my mental health and depression that has literally taken its toll on my life, I am very thankful for DalyBeth! She has been willing to listen to my situation and stories and has made plenty of helpful suggestions on helping myself relieve stress from my life. Now although I haven't gotten to some of them quite yet and admittedly may not be comfortable doing certain ones just yet, I've taken lots of notes and been trying to put her advice to great use. I'll definitely be consulting with DalyBeth periodically and again very soon, and hopefully I'll get to meet her in-person. Right now, lots of these psychologists and therapists are doing telehealth sessions or through online sources like ZOOM (not a fan of virtual events, quite frankly).

Therapy saved my life. My soul is indebted to Vicky. About 1 1/2 years ago, I was in the deepest,…read moredarkest place of my life. Riddled with anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts. I was still recovering from postpartum too and had other chronic health issues that left me discouraged and wanting to give up on my life. Truly, I've never been so low. My husband was seeing Vicky at that time and recommended I start therapy with her too. I was open. I was desperate. And I'm just so grateful she was able to see me right away. So I started therapy with Vicky and slowly but surely, it's as if light began to pour into those dark, scary places into my soul. I began to heal mentally in ways I never thought I needed, addressing deep seeded lies and hurts that I never knew I carried since childhood. Now, I can wholeheartedly say I'm free. Im free from the tight grip of anxiety that would constantly plague my mind. Of course, I'll never be perfect and will still struggle from time to time but NOW I have precious tools - weapons - that I'm armed with that help me fight against my anxious thoughts and emotions. I'm so grateful for what Vicky has done for me. Seeing her twice a month (all through virtual sessions) she has lovingly and patiently brought me to this place of freedom and VICTORY. Therapy is INCREDIBLY VALUABLE and LIFE-CHANGING. I am a HUGE advocate for it, I recommend therapy for EVERYONE, and there is no other like Vicky. Thank you Vicky for all you've done for me and in turn, my family. Highly recommend Aloha Victory Counseling for EVERYONE!
