The performance center itself is part of the Riverside Community College, so depending where you will park, you might get to walk around the campus. There also could be a flight of long stairs or just a flat walk towards the main entrance. Staff here are also really helpful and nice, and I'm sure they are the same for all the different shows they have here. Inside the auditorium, it reminds me of a large lecture hall: with those wooden, collapsable chairs...just felt like being in college again! Which was cool. The stage and its lighting system is amazing and the stage will be lit up just perfectly for any show. I really enjoy coming here and who knows, maybe I'll come back for another show!

The Theater is large with 1500 seats and a professional stage that I hear is about to get some major upgrades. It's obvious that a lot of effort has gone into making this storied stage something special. Simple concessions from a local club from campus were nice and just the right price. Tickets for into the woods was just $16.00 with a $5 discount for advanced purchase, an amazing bargain! Into The woods was fantastic, clever, and massively entertaining with a superb cast. The Sets and lighting crossed between professional and campy, just perfect for such a fun show.

The seats are comfortable, the views are solid, and the intimate setup of the venue makes this place quite immersive. Some of the productions are a bit hit-or-miss for me, but I really enjoy coming as the environment is pretty welcoming and they try to change up the schedule each year to accommodate to different age groups. RCP has snacks outside for sale and free coffee w/ a personal donation to the theatre group. I admire the resilience of this theatre and its staff as the Riverside Community Players have survived the COVID-19 pandemic, arson, and other challenges. Bravo!

On this particular night, we were there to see a David Bowie tribute show and the cocktails were themed after Bowie songs which was a really cute touch. Parking in the area was easy and I luckily found an inexpensive spot to park. The sound quality in the venue was great and I don't think there was a bad seat in the house. I look forward to coming here again someday. The service at the venue was excellent! I had an issue where I lost something and security was so helpful. The ushers were fantastic, friendly, and caring. I could not have asked for a better experience.

Walking in is a step back in time to when the golden age of the silver screen brought people en masse to classy, red carpeted movie houses. That vibe lingers as one enters the softly lit warm glow of the lobby with its period chandeliers, dark wood painted beams, and carpeted floors. Proper old school escorts take you to your seats. Inside the theater, the stage is flanked by drapes, and aesthetically pleasing lighting sets the mood. The seats are a rare find - wooden with lush velvety fabric. Surprisingly, they were more spacious than expected. Also surprisingly, our seats weren't attached to the floor! If we leaned forward, our two seats both moved. It wasn't a problem, just surprising. We also had one cup holder. It seemed they were randomly placed with several seats lacking them. Since we were here for a concert, let's talk about sound quality, which was spot on! The speaker system provided multidirectional sound that was clear and clean. No pops, distortion, or drops here. The bass gave that satisfying through the feet vibration without rattling our teeth. The temperature was comfortably cool and never stuffy. So, why a 4 instead of a 5? While seat/cupholder were kinda just quirky, it's a matter of layout and patience. As you pass through to the interior, there's a confluence of lines that, even though people queued up as best they could, merged with those trying to find a way through. The women's restroom line - which was clean with good sized stalls - comes first, with the bar just a few yards away, followed by merch table. The bar line ended up descending down the stairs on one side while the merch table went down the other. I honestly don't know how they could manage it differently given the space. Bar and merch lines moved slowly, and I was appreciative when another joined the single bartender to help customers. Someone said there was another bar, but I was too time invested to inquire. My friend eventually left the merch table after making no significant headway after 20 minutes. After the concert, the line was back down the stairs. Patience, politeness, and flexibility win the day here. Did this take away from our experience? No, not really. We were lined up outside and entered shortly after doors opened, an hour before showtime. These logistics would not keep me from returning.

(And no I don't know her, nor do I live in Chino Hills. The other actor that was good was the teacher. Everyone else really tried. I was truly a little confused as to what the story was about, because it jumps around, all over the place. But at the end, I am convinced that they are purposely hitting ideas that all audience members can relate to, one way or another. With that said, they did a good job. Thanks for a fun night. The bathrooms were nicer than I expected. I heard they recently did a renovation and I thought expanding the lobby was a great idea. We saw the ballroom area on the second floor and wow, what a cool space that is. I had a few concerns though which I thought negatively affected my experience. During intermission I couldn't figure out why there was such a hold up exiting the theatre. Yes there were a number of older patrons who walked slow or with walkers, but that is totally fine. When I exited the auditorium I saw this HUGE bottle neck of the men's bathroom line, elevator line, people exiting the theatre and people entering the theatre... and to top it all off... they put the refreshment bar right there. OMG... it was so frustrating and such a bottleneck. I'd consider moving the refreshment bar to the main lobby area which seem to be much more spacious and give more room for the auditorium doors. While I thought the bathrooms were unexpectly large and spacious but there were some concerns I had. The line to the men's bathroom went well into the lobby, but the door needed to be handled by every person in line. I think a door stop might help to prop the door open and so not everyone had to touch the door. Every single person (hopefully) is washing their hands - but with a manual on/off lever, it just stalled the sink line. And, it made a mess with everyone's wet hands handling the faucet lever and walking to the paper towel dispenser. I think they could speed up the line and make less congeston by using automatic on/off faucets. This is what the Pantages recently did and it was a game changer. Same goes with the paper towel dispenser. Everyone had to wave their hand to get the towels to dispense. Ugg, it was sooooo slow. I'd much prefer the towel dispensers which would automatically dispense a towel immediately when one is ripped off. And, worst part, with just 2 dispensers in the men's bathroom, there was one that was not working with dead batteries. OMG... that should be a priority to check before opening the house. In many ways this is just inexcusable.
