Juan and Ramiro were both very helpful and professional on phone when setting up the appointment. Juan was our technician and did a fantastic job! Our job wasn't diagnostic, we only needed fridge doors removed and reinstalled, but Juan was the consummate professional. He communicated throughout the process, cleaned the fridge doors, and was quick and efficient. I found the pricing to be more than fair. Will def call Dr. Appliances again when we need a fix or install. read more

I have been dealing with Juan since 4/29/21, his initial visit was great. He was prompt to arrive at scheduled time, he answered his phone, he diagnosed the fridge within minutes. I paid him, he ordered the part to be installed 5/3/21. 5 days later the tenant using the fridge informs me it's still leaking, I call 5/12 multiple times with no answer, I email no answer. I was able to get him on the phone 5/13, and he went to check fridge for same issue 5/14. He claimed there was a piece of foam stuck in a hose causing the leak, but that he removed it and all is well now. Well the very next day, I talk to the tenant and she says the fridge is still leaking. And Juan advised her to call him if there are any issues. This bothered me, Bc the tenant is NOT the paying customer. I PAID and I am having a hard time reaching him. Long story short 6/13, I have the same Problem with the fridge. With no response from Dr Appliances. It's extremely frustrating, I am being strung along so the warranty will end up void and he won't be responsible anymore. read more

We had a new gas range to be installed and after contacting several companies including the crew from Best Buy who were supposed to be able to install and said they couldn't , we called Dr. Appliances. They responded quickly, were available the next day and installed our new appliance in a short period of time even though it wasn't a straight forward job. The owner and his technician were knowledgeable, problem solvers and personable was well! Definitely worth the fee for the job. read more

Damn, I called him to fix a compressor. He came and looked at it and told me he needed to go get a part and he be back at 2:00pm (it was 11:30am). He never showed up. I called him directly and he he didn't pick up. I texted him and he didn't answer. I called the office number and he didn't know it was me and pick up. Told me he went to do another job, never told me that up front. Then I told him ok call me when your done. He said ok and never called me. I just called right now, both numbers, no he's not picking up either number. This is my first review. EVER. Worst company ever, WORST tech ever. I wish I could give them negative stars. I explained to the tech/owner, MY FAMILY DOESNT HAVE A REFRIGERATOR. It's Saturday and they are closed on Sunday. Please NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. read more

Great service We had a washer break down while caring for my mother in law who is on hospice we needed the washer fixed ASAP as we were going thru towels and sheets more then normal, we called a few different services and was told no one could come until Monday, which was a few days from when we called. Dr. Appliance was right on target getting out to us the same day, replacing the washer switch, Juan the tech was kind courteous respectful of my mother in law. I was impressed how they texted me letting me know where he was and when he would be there. Price was compared to any other company, the difference is the CUSTOMER SERVICE! I miss not getting any customer service whiles out in the public anymore, so when I do get it I what to thank them. read more

I called this company base on the reviews, I have an Asko dishwasher showing an F-11 Error (Drain Hose obstructed), They sent Vairon the next day, he looked at it checked I couple of things and told me I needed a new pump and he will let me know the cost of it and estimate to changed it. The estimate total was $135 for the pump and $159 for labor. Total $294+ tax. I decided to pull out the Dishwasher out myself and look it, I found a kink on the drain hose, replaced with new hose $16.00 from Home Depot and all is good now. I feel he should have pull out the dishwasher before he diagnosed anything. I still have to pay the $85.00 fee for them to come out an give me a wrong diagnosis. Not happy about it but I will. read more

Zero Star if they had the option. I called Saturday April 30 @ 12:48 pm. A lady picked up, I gave her the details on the issue I was having with my refrigerator, I heard a male voice in the background tell her to take the appointment and they can fix it. She set me up for Monday from 3-5pm. Informing me that there will be a $85.00 fee for them to come out to to see what the problem is. She asked if I was going to be paying cash or card and I told her cash. I called me boss telling him I need to leave work early for this reason. Here we are Monday 4:47 pm I call and a gentleman picked up and I said, "I had an appointment with you guys today from 3-5pm and it is now 4:47 and no one has arrived, I wanted to know the status. He checked and told me there's no one with an appointment today with my name or address. I explained to him my conversation Saturday afternoon and he said he will call the technician to see if he has an appointment on his phone and forgot to input it in the system, he will call me back in 10 min. 30 min has passed and no one called me back. Here are photos for proof that I made these calls to this business. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone this is ridiculous! I had to leave work early now my paycheck is going to be short and still didn't get anything fixed horrible service. read more

We had a dishwasher that needed help. Juan Pablo walked with us through the long, painful process of figuring out that it needed to be replaced. He installed the new dishwasher and we all lived happily ever after. read more

TERRIBLE! Juan came and fixed our U-line mini fridge and replaced a broken part with a generic $2 part. He then charged us $200 and said the part was $80. Within 2 months the fridge was broken again and because he put in a generic part it busted the compressor and we are now forced to buy a new $ 3k+ fridge. After telling him he doesn't answer the phone or responds to texts. AVOID! read more

Dr. Appliances, I'm pleased to say is now my go to guy for appliance repair. Juan and the technician who worked on my fridge were both professional and informative. Everything was explained to our satisfaction and the final costs were the same as the quote. We also enjoyed the friendly service we received and will have no problem referring Dr. Appliances to our friends and family. Very happy with Dr. Appliances read more

I have been using this company for 5+ years. They always get the job done right, but waiting for parts to come in can stretch your patience if your fridge is dying. Good news, they came out on a Saturday to fix the last repair once the parts were in. Not cheap, but likely fair compared to other companies. I am guessing they bill labor at about $125 an hour based on my last bill and two trips to my home. read more

Are you still working? I had you come out to look at my wine refrigerator and you diagnosed it and said the part was in back order from China. I understand that, but that was in early March/late February. Since then I have called you 4 times and you always say you will check on it, but I never hear back from you. Could you at least remind me of what the part is, so I can have someone else order it for me? read more

Kind of shady. He came out looked at the dryer. Said i will be back wed. And never called or showed up.

Excellent customer service. Sent a request for a quote via Yelp, they replied right away & were able to come out same day. They arrived exactly when they said they would & were nice enough to call me 30 mins before coming. They had to order A part for me and told me it would be in the next day in which it was then we schedule a time for them to come out and replace the part same thing as the day before they called me 30 minutes prior and showed up exactly on the time window that they said they would. A very quick and easy fix, extremely happy with the service I received and will be a repeat customer. read more

Received recommendation. Uses a dispatch app to let you know when he is coming and can follow arrival. Had a Samsung dishwasher only 2yo and part on back order. Assessed the problem and when the part arrived returned to install. Easy process. Showed up in time window expected. Gave me recommendations for future appliance brand purchases based on his experience of longevity. Would recommend. read more

They were quick to come out same day. Paid $450 to fix my freezer that wasn't cold enough. Three days later my entire refrigerator wasn't cold enough. I called 3 times, no pick up and voice mail box was full. Texted and received no response. A month later, still have not received any communication back. Pay in credit card so you can dispute the charge if you need to. read more

Juan answered back promptly and even made it to my house same day. My oven wouldn't turn on and we knew it had something to do with the igniter. Needed a diagnostic check done to my kegerator. They were timely, thorough and very helpful!

Juan did a great job with our broken outdoor fridge. Installed a compressor and fixed other issues. On time and very reasonable. Recommend!

We bought a refrigerator from Sears, after two years it broke. We have warranty and provided as the parts of the refrigerator.. However, their services are horrible and rescheduled our repair 3 times. We don't have a back up refrigerator and we needed it ASAP. We called Dr Appliances and installed the parts right away. The almost 6 weeks wait from Sears, only 2 days wait from Dr Appliances. By June our refrigerator was acting up again. Poor choice of brand. We called Dr Appliances again hoping that they can help us and get a discount since we are a previous customer. They arrived and diagnosed it. Identified that our freon needs refill. They refilled it for Free! They will come back in two weeks to check for leak. Thank you guys for all the help!! read more

We noticed our GE side by side refrigerator/freezer just wasn't staying cool. What to do? After reading some very poor reviews of some repair companies I read the reviews for Dr. Appliances. Juan arrived on a Saturday. Diagnosed the issue and gave us a price that was much less then we were worried it might be. He did not have the part he needed on his truck but returned on Monday to complete the job. It works, we're happy. He was neat, professional and even tolerated our three year-old twins asking him questions. We are very pleased and can recommend them highly. read more

Thank you for fixing our ice maker, it's finally making ice again! Juan his flexible with time and will work around your availability hours as much as he can. Weekdays can be busy so there are possibilities of delayed communication but other than that, the job will get done. read more

We have found out new appliance repair company. Juan was wonderful and everyone I dealt with was very professional. The day of my appointment I was always updated on how long Juan would be arriving. This is the second time I have used Dr. Appliances, and I couldn't be happier! Juan and his crew provide a wonderful service to the San Diego area. As someone who manages two properties, it gives me peace of mind that Juan is always there to help when I need a major appliance replaced. I recently needed to replace a washer, and Juan provided photos of a washer that he could deliver promptly. The tenant was happy and so was the owner. The same thing happened about a year and a half ago on another property, with the same wonderful results. For all of you property managers out there, Dr. Appliances should be your go to service!!! read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Appliances. Our oven was out and when I called to explain the person I talked to was very receptive and let me make an appointment for two days later, which is what I requested. The person who serviced our house was there on time, easily diagnosed the problem and cost to fix it (which I found out was very middle of the road so I do not believe I was overcharged at all). He did not have the part so went to get it, came back in the 30 minute time frame he gave me, installed the new part, and my oven has been working perfectly since. I am 100% satisfied with this company and would absolutely use them again should I need the services they provide in the future. read more

I cannot say enough about my recent experience w DrAppliances. Juan and Varion came to service my stackable washer that was not working. A different repair co told me to just throw in the towel and buy new. But thankfully I had Juan and Varion come and working in a very tight space, they were able to get my machine working again. Very courteous, on time, and clean. Dr.Appliance is now my go to repair service! read more
