I've long debated about whether or not I should write a review about my therapist - after all, once…read moreI'd done this, everyone would know that I'm seeing a shrink! In the end, however, the benefits of someone else finding a good therapist via my recommendation outweighed the above-mentioned risk. Usually I'm writing long and detailled reviews about my experiences with a "business", but this time I'd actually like to keep it really brief and will thus not go into details about the sessions themselves. Actually, what Tim says about his counseling approach on his website is pretty much in line with my thoughts: "I work as a humanistic counsellor and group therapist. Therapists using a humanistic approach believe that: * every individual is unique * change, growth and development are possible for everyone * a healthy counselling environment is non-judgemental and compassionate * striving to be honest and authentic is central to healthy counselling * our job is to help our clients realise their own unique potential." I actually found about Tim via the website www.pinktherapy.com. This is a great resource to find a counsellor/therapist that is sensitive to gay and lesbian issues.

I feel his caring and understanding nature was demonstrated by spending more time sorting out issues of concern instead of time-stamping sessions. I went to visit Adam at his clinic in Harley Street on the 20th December 2014 and spent a long 4…read morehours there to cure my anxiety. Adam assured me it only takes one session. The charge was £395. I was sold after a long story about his life experiences. After the session Adam gave me a list of things that I need to do after for it to work. He did not tell me this beforehand, it sounded like I had to do all the work myself and I thought what's the point then?? I left the clinic feeling exactly the same. The next day I phoned Eva, his secretary and told her nothing has changed, she said I need to wait 21 days for everything to be "installed" in my brain, what a joke, again I was not told any of this before I paid. I waited 21 days and carried out most of the activities I was advised to do in an email from Adam, a list of 10 things to do!! Stupid things like singing in the street or dancing, like anyone does that! My anxiety was through the roof! I went to visit Adam again for a second session and after more pointless chat and assurance that everything will be fine I left. months gone by and still no change, I went for a third visit and had more hypnotherapy but still no improvement. Adam said it's because I didn't do everything on his special list and I asked him what's the point in his service if I have to do all the work?? I was assured that it would only take one session! He didn't offer my money back he just said he would keep supporting me until I'm cured even though I had been working with him for 6 months by now! What a joke! Waste of my money and time, I was left with even anxiety with the fact that I lost nearly £400 for nothing!!! This clinic should get closed down - do not waste your money on this fraud!!

Dr Woolfson is as unique as the therapeutic alliance is amongst relationships, and he is not without his foibles (who is?) ...but they make him more human and a better therapist in my opinion. He is a physician that operates from a genuine, frank, collaborative and open position. In all the time I have been under Dr Woolfson's care, I have never had cause to question his diagnostic capabilities, knowledge or desire to alleviate problems ...and, most importantly, my own! He is a psychiatrist that has, quite simply, been there and seen it all and can, and has, provided life changing treatment.

If you are looking for a transformation in all areas of your life, that is what Barbara can do for…read moreyou! That is what she has done for my life and I am heartily grateful. All the issues that were stopping me from being who I truly am or being able to achieve what I really want in life were resolved in just a few sessions. In a caring, attentive and professional atmosphere, Barbara helped me release the negativity from my dysfunctional past, teaching me to talk to my scared inner-child and give him the support and love he needed, to go through those past situations with trust and courage. That was the most extraordinary healing experience I have ever had. I have always been very positive and very aware of my body, thoughts and behaviour. But, I knew there was something stopping me from moving forward in my life; something holding me back from being myself and reaching my best. There was a negative voice in my head, like an old recorded song, putting me down and saying I was not capable or not good enough. It was affecting all areas of my life and it seemed it was controlling me and depleting my energy. After working with Barbara, I can now say that all these negative memories were healed and they are not in my mind any more. I am enjoying life as never before and feeling light and free. It is difficult to describe in words. I am very thankful to Barbara for her dedication, attention and support. I do recommend her work to anyone. It is much more than just a service you pay for. The experience is a reconnection with your being, with your essence, with your soul, and one we all deserve to have." John London
