    Regent Street is a long arch shaped street that runs opposite Oxford Street, between Piccadilly…read moreCircus and Oxford Circus. Architecturally it looks beautiful, elegant and uniformed. Many bus routes serve this shopping area. The stores themselves are somewhat of a mixed bag. You'll find that as you get closer to Piccadilly Circus, the stores tend to get smaller and less prestigious. Apple have a huge flagship store here, near the Oxford Circus end. Liberty's store is a must for any sophisticated shopper. Hamleys is also a very popular store, attracting a large number of tourists. The shops along Regent Street tend to cater to more conservative clientele. Jaeger, Hugo Boss, Austin Reed, Aquascutum, Mappin&Webb, can all be found here. There is a fair number of high street chains represented too, such as Levi's, Next, Coast, Accessorise, Gap and others. There is a distinct 'touristy' feel about this street, and at weekends it is usually crowded with tourists, usually looking at their maps with that bewildered look on their faces. I don't often venture here, unless I want to go to Liberty's store. It is one of the most unique stores in the world. The window displays at Christmas are also worth mentioning. It is lovely strolling down Regent Street during Christmas season, when the lights are on and it's dark outside, enjoying the wonderfully dressed windows.
