Welcome to my profile. I'm Greg. At Counselling Twickenham, I believe in an open and empathetic approach to counselling. When you're going through a personal crisis or emotional difficulties you may need to voice your thoughts and concerns to an experienced counsellor. Someone you can trust and rely on. Friends and family can help, but are not always neutral. Finding a therapist can help you make sense of your thoughts and emotions, or mend a broken relationship without these complications. As a qualified counsellor, I can listen to you with empathy and respect; helping you gain greater insight and self-awareness. I offer individual and couples counselling. I can help you repair difficult relationships and understand how old patterns of attachment interfere with this. Perhaps you're experiencing a loss of identity and meaning. Or suffering with poor communication and conflict in relationships. Whatever the reason, I can help you rediscover trust, empathy and better ways of communicating, by understanding old patterns and unconscious processes. I have a Masters Degree in Psychotherapy; five years of rigorous training and expertise in lecturing trainee counsellors at Saint Mary's University College.

History

Established in 2010.

I have many years experience as a counsellor, working with MIND, Moving Minds, Winchester University and Portsmouth Rape Crisis Service. I had five years rigorous training at Metanoia and was awarded a Masters Degree in psychotherapy. Since then I have been working at my private practice Counselling Twickenham, EnduringMind, with individual and couples counselling. However, I also lectured and supervised trainee counsellors at Saint Mary's University College since 2010.

Meet the Business Owner: Greg S.

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist. I use a number of therapeutic techniques with expertise in anxiety, relationship counselling, depression, bereavement and trauma. I use mindfulness techniques, relational therapy and look at both conscious and unconscious processes. This includes knowledge of neuroscience and the brain. I have also spent time working on a psychitatric ward with service-users who suffer various degrees of mental disorder.
