The lady running the place was also very nice and personable. We will be returning here for lunch for future visits and I highly recommend this place. We are not from here and when I told one of the local guys we were working with about BJ's when we got back from lunch they didn't know they served lunch and thought it was more of a dessert restaurant, but it is more of a diner like experience, but better. They also have vegan options and froyo, floats, sundaes, flurries, sorbets, and more! Pretty much anything you could want when it comes to frozen treats. My cousin and I were playing safe so we both went with a soft serve twist. Mine was doused in a ton of sprinkles and she went with the crushed oreos. They were delightful! My boyfriend parked the RV and headed in looking for ice-cream while I gave the dogs a potty break. An older gentleman came out and offered water for my 4 legged babies. But really, the draw isn't the icecream itself but the delightfully unique flavour pairings. So while this may not be the absolute greatest icecream in the world, the "regional" flavours come quite close to that perfect mix of childhood nostalgia and specific what-we-are-known-for taste. Standouts to me were the St Jacob's Apple Pie (tasted so much like the famed apple fritters from the famed market) and Southern Ontario Cherry Cheesecake. All this to say my wife and I were in Bayfield for a day and a half, and went to Rosie's not once, not twice, but 3 times. (Hugely satisfied) Burp!!! ps: Rosie's is outstanding value too. For less than $6 (and that includes me tipping for the quick/friendly service), you get a super generous single scoop (which is really the size of a double scoop) on a waffle cone.
