Small town icecream flavours are the best. Rosie's serves up scoops from the London IceCream Company, which is smooth and creamy. But really, the draw isn't the icecream itself but the delightfully unique flavour pairings. So while this may not be the absolute greatest icecream in the world, the "regional" flavours come quite close to that perfect mix of childhood nostalgia and specific what-we-are-known-for taste. Standouts to me were the St Jacob's Apple Pie (tasted so much like the famed apple fritters from the famed market) and Southern Ontario Cherry Cheesecake.
All this to say my wife and I were in Bayfield for a day and a half, and went to Rosie's not once, not twice, but 3 times. (Hugely satisfied) Burp!!!
ps: Rosie's is outstanding value too. For less than $6 (and that includes me tipping for the quick/friendly service), you get a super generous single scoop (which is really the size of a double scoop) on a waffle cone. (Hugely satisfied) Yay!!! read more
