Oh Man, this Paul guy is absolutely amazing. He is extremely knowledgeable not only about the bones of the home, but the history of how some of these were built and whether or not the house was built with integrity or to flip and make a quick profit. I've used other inspectors before and all they did was peek, look, bend a bit, write notes and was done in 30 minutes. Not Paul. He looks at every nook and cranny of the home. He climbs roofs sometimes without a ladder. He looks in attics, basements, porches, the yard, garages, crawl spaces, and other areas that most people would never go in. Cobwebs don't deter him, rotting floor joists don't intimidate him, standing water, sewage smells, birds/bats flying in the attics does not stop him. His nose is like a blood hound. He can sniff out mold anywhere. Critters, termites, colonies of ants cannot hid from this man. Honestly I think he has x-ray vision. I mentioned Paul to my realtor and she said, "No No not Paul, he is crazy! He will pick apart that house to death". He will find any loose nail. I had to smile and say, "Yup, that is exactly who I want look through my property before I buy it. Paul is your man. I promise you will not be disappointed. He's done 4-5 inspections thus far for my family and his schedule is tight. He is well worth the money. The most we've saved with him was $26,000 on a purchase. His price is competitive, but for what he does, it's well worth every penny. WARNING: pack a lunch, because he is thorough.
