Now I have had an awesome experience at this spa: a pedicure with hot wax, and I was very impressed - the massaging chair was like getting an extra back massage while the feet were getting done! I came away feeling very refreshed and relaxed; this was just what I needed! It's a rather large building with many different rooms. I did not see it all, but what I did see was nice and clean, and nicely laid out. It the waiting room waiting for the nail polish to dry, there was a beautiful large, vibrant fish tank. The whole atmosphere was relaxing. There were current magazines available, so you could catch up on current affairs while you are waiting. Midway through my pedicure, one of the receptionists came around offering cookies. That was a nice touch. This is not a cheap spa treatment, but definitely good place to go get pampered in preparation for a wedding, or other special event. Or, just because! This place will continue to be on my wish list as a recommendation for gift certificates. :-)

From start to finish I could feel myself relaxing; the whole ambiance of the spa is wonderful - finished beautifully inside and out! Foot massage (2/5) I'm basing this on deep foot massages I have had in the past. The deeper the better. I'd give their approach to a foot massage a 5 if you're just expecting light application of massive amounts of fragrant creams and ever so gentle, light rubbing in a pleasant setting. I sat beside a good friend and we chatted while she had a pedi and the staff allowed me to stay longer because her procedure was longer and the room wasn't needed. I felt that was kind. Where things went off the rails and why my review plummets was due to the communication I received from this place after my review. I had expressed 2 levels of disappointment with their foot massage . First is wasn't 'deep' despite the description of 'deep rhythmic massage' on their website and second because the esthetician maintained a very light pressure after I twice told her should could go much deeper. The 'deep, rhythmic massage' never happened. They sent me an email asking me to change the review, blaming my disappointment on my misinterpretation of 'deep rhythmic foot massage' and explaining that of course it meant was 'deeply relaxing'. They said a lot of other stuff, but the result is that I feel gaslit and feel they were trying to shame me for giving an honest review. They have now updated the website to eliminate the wording of 'deep rhythmic' from their foot massage description. I have a screenshot of that earlier version. So, I have in fact changed my review from a 3 to a one and would give them a zero for customer service if I could. No customer should be made to feel this way.

We got there for 8:30 and it was pretty quiet, and we got to enjoy at least one thermal cycle before the crowds got bigger. My favourites are the salt scrub, steam saunas and hot stone beds. The rituals are also fun to attend and are definitely a challenge to stay through the whole thing! I like that there are different kinda throughout the day. Get there 15mins earlier though because they fill up fast. My relatives did the Kalla float pools and loved it. You could fall asleep in there, and your skin is nice and soft after. You can definitely stay a whole day here. We left around 7pm but could have stayed longer. At around 7pm there was a line for the showers. A few recommendations: would like more showers, more places to replace towels and robes, more hammocks (there was a big section 8 years ago, but it's replaced with other stuff). Majority of my relatives who got massages said the pressure could have been harder, and they could have been asked which areas to focus on. I always recommend this place to friends and family, and love that they are always expanding. Nice to be back!

I wish i could have her do my color too...but it would be too long between sessions for me to get away with it. She does an amazing job. Beckie is warm and very caring about her clients. She is fun to be with, and there is always good conversation and laughter. Beckie will be honest about what her clients can expect with their hair styling choices. She is alway learning new techniques and is committed to her industry. Her studio is in her home but you feel like you are in a posh salon in the city. Full disclaimer...I am her mother-in-law!
